Great food at reasonable price!
The food was very good, as always. Crowded but that’s what happens on Friday when the food id good.
We waited 25 mins after our reservation time! Really no place to wait, bar is VERY small. Finally seated, another 10 mins before the hostess came and apologized, she did not let our server know we had been seated? Food was excellent, we will try again and hope for a better experience!
The food is very good, the server should not be working in a restaurant. We had just sat down and she wanted us to order. She came back 5 minutes later and asked us to order again. We explained we had not even opened the menu and we weren't in a rush. Apparently she was. This was at 7:40 pm so they weren't close to closing. When I mentioned that I heard other servers tell their tables about specials, her response was "well, I guess you know what they are now so no need for me to tell you about them". So unprofessional, and again she shouldn't be working in the restaurant business.
The food is very good but we both agreed we wouldn't be dining here again. Not because of the food or atmosphere but because they apparently hire very unfriendly and disrespectful servers.
Excellent food - surprisingly beautiful space, given it’s in a Harris Teeter shopping center. We went based on recommendations and were NOT disappointed. Looking forward to going back!
When it comes to Italian food we are rather biased... coming from NYC and Boston. And 5 trips to Italy. Others may love this restaurant if that is not the kind of Italian food they are used to. The restaurant itself is lovely, the staff terrific. But the red sauces are sweet... so if that is the kind you like, give it a try. If you like the tomato/garlic/sl. tang of NY/Boston this will not meet your needs. Purely ones own history of what one likes for "Italian".
Super great food and service. Grace was a fantastic server.
Positano's is always a great place to eat. The Itlalian cuisine is superb. The breadsticks are always piping hot and delicious. I personally love the half chicken baked with rosemary rub. As well beyond the traditional Italian pasta dishes, the stromboli and calezoni are excellent and very large--enough to eat half and take half home. The service is excellent with a wait staff large enough to offer personal attention to every table. Even when packed, which is was on this visit, food arrival was timely and the service was personal and first rate.
Always excellent food and service. Our favorite place for special occasions.
Our server Kaitlin was fantastic! She was fun, attentive, and truly cared that we were happy with our experience. It made for a very nice Valentine's Day meal for us.
If you are looking for large portions of americanized italian food with great servuce this is your spot. However, if you are looking for a meal worth the money, spend it elsewhere. The sauces lacked flavor (we tried the red sauce, alfredo, and Gorgonzola cream), the gnocchi was doughy, and the chicken parmesan was clearly frozen beforehand.
We went here because it was rated one of the best italian restaurants in the Triad, however the food was very mediocre and underwhelming. Olive Garden would have been a better choice.
We reserved a booth for four and were seated upon arrival at a booth. The atmosphere is nice with low lighting and it was cozy. It was not so noisy that one could not talk. The service was excellent, as was the food. I had scallops and shrimp with pasta; it was very good. This was my first visit and based upon this experience, I will be back.
First visit based on good reviews. Now we know why the good reviews! Wonderful experience in every category and we cannot wait to go back!!
Enjoyed it as always! The entire party was beyond happy with their meals and service!
The food was excellent as always. Our waiter was wonderful. Very efficient and friendly. It’s really a very good pls e to eat.
Great food and service
Veal was outstanding. The eggplant parmigiana was dry. We will return and try a different dish.
Appetizers were okay. Entrees were very good. Service was good. Overall a very nice experience.
Very nice restaurant! Enjoyed the quiet cozy atmosphere and with a group of 8 it was a very enjoyable dinner . Even as the restaurant got very busy still easy to converse with the group. Food was great and bread was fantastic. Our waitress was excellent.
The sauce used was very bland and there weren't any pepper flakes on the table.
Had a problem being seated on a Saturday night a 7. Had to wait 20 minutes with a reservation. However, the food was great, the server was excellent
Positano is consistently solid and delivers authentic and delicious Italian dishes - staff is friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.
We had a lovely meal. Great food, great service. We'll go back.
Very nice evening. Waitress was very knowledgeable about all the dishes and how they were prepared. Menu was expansive- there was every kind of protein you could want represented. Seemed like an early person’s restaurant. When we arrived at our 7:30 reservation time the place was packed. By the time we left around 9:30 there was only one table left eating. Had the feel of a neighborhood gathering place. We will go back often.
Our party of four enjoyed excellent food and service at Positano on Saturday night. Three of us ordered one of the nightly specials, while my husband chose a favorite from the menu. Our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
Great service and great food. Love this restaurant for its quiet and cozy environment. Had a party of about 12 teen aged girls behind us that were very loud the whole night, but other than that the ambiance is always nice.
Awesome food. Great service
Took our daughter who was visiting and loves Italian food. Food was great as always and our server was very attentive. A good place to eat.
This is the real deal! Authentic Italian, made to order, from scratch, with love. We adore this place!
Food was very good. Service was very good until we finished our meal and needed our dinner packed in to-go containers. This is the first time that the Positano waitress/waiter did not offer to put our food in the to-go containers. Our waitress just gave us the containers, put the bill on the table, and left. I was speechless.
This place never disappoints! I will be going back!
Great food. Linguine with claims is the best
We had not been to Positano’s for quite a while, so this was like coming back home to an old friend. Great food, easy conversation without yelling over the crowd, all in all an evening we’ll have again soon.
We had an excellent dinner with a fantastic server. The bread was delicious which included garlic rolls - yummy. This is a traditional Italian restauranct - not too fancy but not shabby or noisy - excellent! Prices are reasonable. We loved it.
Every time I have ever been here the food is awesome, but more importantly, the wait staff treats you like family!!!!
Luv this place. Food is always delicious. And the staff is always gracious.
The Chicken Marsala was very good. The Pizza was really disappointing! Not enough Cheese, Not enough sauce, too small for the price, no choice in size whatsoever.
Great food at reasonable prices, nice atmosphere....cozy.
This is one of the best restaurants in the area and true italian restaurants. The pasta is always fresh, the bread excellent warm and tasty, great wine menu and wonderful service. I visit frequently for lunch and dinner both for work and family. The seafood pasta dishes are fresh, full of authentic flavor and there is plenty to eat. I always over indulge as the food cant be beat. This is a hidden gem and if you pass it up it is your loss as i cant say anything but good things. Dan
