Positano Coast by Aldo Lamberti Ratings and Reviews
We enjoyed a wedding shower in the private room a couple years back thought we would enjoy a friends gathering service was horrible extremely noisy food good portions small. Couldn't have a conversation with the person sitting next to me forget the seven others we asked to be moved, they would not accommodate .
I was very disappointed in the food. Especially the enntr’ that I was served. I had the bronzino and the preparation and sauce was very mediocre. Our waiter was good and the service was good But I would not recommend the restaurant. It was also very expensive.
Our party of four had a good dinner experience and even though one diner was disappointed in the amount of gnocchi in the cioppino the staff quickly replaced the meal with delicious salmon. Two of us had the veal tenderloin and it was delicious.
Convenient location for Ritz 5 movie and good service allowed plenty of time to get there on time.
Place is big and though we were 30mins late they were able to accommodate us quickly. The entrance is a bit tricky and they could do more to help non-Philly natives find their way easier. The food was delish and very reasonably priced but our waiter was terrible. He rarely checked in on us to refill our mimosa's (we had paid for bottomless) and when he'd bring the new jug he'd just set it on the table (vs. pouring it for us). Maybe I'm just being a nasty New Yorker but good service is a must for me to do a repeat somewhere.
The service was not great. Granted they had a lot of parties happening at once. We experienced a cracked cup, multiple requests for condiments, slow service, an initial wait for a server to come to the table, multiple people servicing our tables. There was just an overall impression like no one was managing the dining room or staff that day.
My family went here for my birthday. We were hoping to sit in the back room that opened to the outside but there was a private party. So we were in the front room. Everything was delicious. The service was great and everyone totally enjoyed their meals. I made for a great birthday and they even gave me a special dessert.
We went here for Restaurant Week but when we saw the lunch menu, we decided to try the Power Lunches. I had the Positano Hoagie which was served with excellent French Fries and my wife has the smoked salmon dish which was smoked salmon and hummus over flat bread with a dise of field greens. Both portions were huge and were excellent.
Six of us went to dinner for restaurant week. Only 2 ordered from restaurant week and their dinners were delicious. Three of us ordered lamb chops which were fabulous and the other person ordered a pasta which was also delicious. Our appetizers were great as well as our desserts. Great restaurant any time of the year.
Out for a bachelorette dinner, requested a specific area to sit while making the reservation and I was told they could accommodate us. When we arrived they sat us next to the kitchen and behind us there was a leak in the ceiling. I asked about 4 times to sit elsewhere and they just did not want to accommodate us. It was not how I planned to celebrate a special dinner for my friend.
Dined here during Restaurant week. Arrived 20 minutes early, checked in with the host staff and ordered drinks at the bar. Creative cocktail menu, great selections on the wine list, knowledgeable and friendly bar staff. Hostess never came to get us, after 40 minutes of waiting at the bar and noticing many empty tables in the dining room, walked back over to the host who did not seem to recognize us, but promptly sat us outside and apologized. Food was just okay - nothing exciting. Found it a little odd that there was a DJ playing loud club music to an empty bar as people were trying to have quiet conversation in the dining room. I'd go back, but maybe just for wine on the outdoor deck.
