Our experience was perfect from start to finish. We started with happy hour at the bar. Friendly bartenders and good cocktails with good value. We then went to dinner and enjoyed our main entrees, vegetable tray, and dessert. Service was warm, friendly, and professional. Would highly recommend. Great ambience too!
Always excellent, delicious, comfortable, beautiful space. Oysters were perfect, scallops with cauliflower purée were done just right - delicate and not over cooked. Caesar Salad with anchovies, Brussels sprouts, and orichiette were very good. Wine selection was just what I wanted and the staff are well trained, professional, yet friendly. There are many reasons why I keep coming back to this restaurant. Thanks.
I dined with theee friends. We ordered from.the lunch menu..Each of us enjoyed our meal. Perfect for a lare afternoon lunch.
Just an overall excellent fun time, food and service were excellent and it was a great party atmosphere with out little group of 7
Had a really good dinner here. Nice place to come, especially before or after a movie right across the street at the Ritz.
This restaurant is a a short walk from the Arden Theater. The service is good while the ambiance is classy casual. I would choose this place for pre-theater drinks and appetizers.
Great in every way. Wonderful atmosphere and service, consistently fabulous food.
Bronzino had a sweet paste underneath it...a bad combination..
We have been coming here for a very long time and never has a bad meal. I recommend this place for a fun nite out
Great food and service, reasonable prices for center city Philadelphia
Very nice place for a quiet dinner. Food is excellent.
We have been going to Positano for many years either after a movie or if we're in the area, and it has been consistently good. The food is interesting and delicious, the service is great, the ambiance is very nice. We've always enjoyed this restaurant
Great food for a decent price. Super fresh seafood!
My husband and I had a lovely time for his birthday dinner. Everyone was very attentive and accomodating and the food was delicious!
Wife and I went for brunch on a Saturday. It's a nice place, food is good. The scene was mostly 20-somethings taking advantage of bottomless mimosas. So it was a little louder than expected at 11:45am. But tables have enough space between them that it's not a big deal if you're not sensitive to the noise. The staff as a team, which was nice. We took awhile to decide and mutliple servers and a even a manager checked on us while they passed to see if we were ready
Very great food!
Was not what was expected from pictures.
The ambiance was beyond amazing. Electric views and an exquisite experience. If you want to travel to another destination but do not have the luxury to do, I truly recommend visiting Positano. It is as if stepping into Greece for a parcel of time.
The service was top notch, our waitress was gracious, personable and all around wonderful. The atmosphere was incredible, and the scenery remarkable. A grand evening
Went out for Valentine’s Day. Looked at the menu online because my wife is picky with food. Got to the restaurant was serving a totally different menu. Not a good experience at all for our night out.
The food was delicious but portions were small. Did not feel that we got a bang for our bucks!
Positano Coast is in a very convenient location on 2nd street across from the Ritz movie theater. A free-standing building with the dining room on the second floor provides an interesting view of this section of old city as it moves around below.
We arrived on a raining Saturday evening for a 6 pm reservation to a friendly greeting at the entrance and immediate seating. Although we were 2, we were seated at a 4 top table located near the entrance of the dining area by a window. Nice.
After 5-10 minutes, remember it is Saturday evening, the server's greeting was friendly. Overall table service was efficient but not particularly attentive. The server explained specials and took our orders for the main course without asking if drinks or appetizers were desired. We requested desserts menus. When desserts were ordered server ran off w/out offering coffee. Overall impression was the server was busy, likely overworked and did not see us as his money table and wanted to have the table open for another party. I can understand as we were a couple seated at a 4 top. That is a restaurant operations issue, not a customer issue. Really, it was the server's loss as we typically order drinks, appetizers, and coffee with dessert when dining out. Being empathetic to the plight of servers, we tip the typical 20% so he'd have made more if he'd been attentive.
The environment was very noisy.
Special: pasta with lobster and shrimp in a red sauce
Vanilla Cheese Cake Dessert
Food was ok, not wonderful. Good sized portions, attractively presented. Pasta seafood had plenty of lobster claw meat and small shrimp although the texture of the shellfish was chewy. Sesame tuna was well-prepared w/ seared outside very pink interior meat, sliced and presented on rectilinear plate appropriately garnished.
Dessert was pretty, Nutella crepes warm and well-filled.
Overall, I am not in a hurry to return and will not be recommending it to friends.
Great place. We've been there many times and always had a wonderful experience.
As always EXCELLENT service , food and ambience !!
Great value and very good food. Loved the grilled octopus.
The food was excellent. The server started out strong but when the apps came out disappeared. Our second round of drinks didn’t show up until we were almost done with the main course. After dinner the server was very attentive for dessert and to drop off the check.
Always delicious in a lovely and gracious environment. Staff were attentive. Food was excellent. I think this is one of the prettiest restaurants in the city.
Always impresses! Lovely service and delicious foods . our server Erica was great! Always a go-to for a delicious brunch
The food and atmosphere were amazing. The dishes are small and it’s a little pricey, but we’ll definitely be back for a nice occasion, and happy hour for sure. We really enjoyed our experience. The service was great, too!
I had dinner three evenings in a row at Positano Coast (Jan 30,31 and Feb 1) and has the same menu servings each night. I was very pleased overall and was very happy to rediscover Positano Coast as an essential "wonderful place to eat" in our neighborhood. Everything works from beginning to end, including the request for the reservation confirmation. We were never rushed and and never not attended to.
Love this place. The only compliant I have is very noisy. There were four of us and i asked for window seat and instead we were seated near table of 15, who were loud. It was very hard for us to have a conversation.
We hadn't been to this restaurant in a while and I had forgotten how great it is! Our server, Nick, was terrific. We're Italian and picky about Italian food, and this place really hits the mark. I highly recommend it!
Been here for three hours
We loved it
Not upscale. But it's good for bdays, and friends get togethers.
Positano Coast has an amazing atmosphere and vibe to it, simple breathtaking food presentation, and not to mention the phenomenal taste. Top 5 restaurant in Philadelphia for a business party to a anniversary meal; simple amazing
Food was not worth what we paid-especially for Restaurant week. Portions were small and we were both hungry after our meal.
The atmosphere in this restaurant is bright and cheery. The staff is very nice. The menu has lots of variety. It is such a convenient location after seeing a film across the street. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone!
We went here for Restaurant Week and where deeply disappointed and didn't find it worth the 20 dollar lunch. We had poor service where with the changing dessert selection, the server didn't tell us what it was, we overheard him telling another table after they asked that it was Panna Cotta and Tiramisu. All of the food was very medicore, it just wasn't as good as we were expected. It seems like it would be a fun place to get a drinks in the summer but we wouldn't go back for the food. The drinks weren't good enough to come back for either.
Came during restaurant week, the service was quite mediocre. Our server didn't know even the basics like bringing water or knowing when to bring out check. Even when we gave him our card right as he handed us the check, it still took 20 min for him to come back. I understand it was restaurant week but we came at an early time--there were still a lot of empty tables by the time we ended.
The food was absolutely delicious. Their saving grace.
The place itself was a bit toned down than what the images online appear to be but that was ok I love the splashes of blue on the walls
