Nice view, great ambiance, great service, food was excellent- will definitely return
Absolutely loved the DJ and the music selection. Our food was delicious and service was great! I look forward to going back and taking more of my friends.
Great food. Great live music.
Positano never disappoints. Been going there for years 2 to 3 times per month. Servers Nick and Martin always look after us and provide terrific attention. The food is always stellar. Can’t go wrong.
Positano Coast is always an enjoyable experience! Service is prompt, the new (to me) decor is lovely, and the variety on the menu means that I will always find something to please my palate.
I went there with 1 friends. As Italian I can say that the food was really good. Maybe the location could be a bit modernized but I would definitely come back.
Consistently good and fun atmosphere
Our first time it was wonderful
Delicious food every time! Creative cocktails such as tapping the admiral. Enjoyed the grilled octopus and crab cake especially! Highly recommend it!
Great food and service
Good food and service. Table had a nice view. Great experience as always
This was my second time here and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time. The calamari was absolutely delicious as well as the crab cakes. The mussels weren’t bad, but not my fave. Service was excellent and the prices are still relatively good despite the pandemic. The inside is very reminiscent of Italy and I would love to go back when the weather warms up. Only thing is this place can get pretty loud. Add in a live band and you practically have to shout to be heard. But still loved it!
Good afternoon, We are happy to announce that our remodel should be complete by 1/31/22!!! This will drastically reduce the excess noise in the restaurant. Thank you for your patronage
Food was great but there was a band (who was also wonderful), which made it impossible for me to hear my dinner companion. Maybe it would have been better if I wasn't seated so close to the band.
Good afternoon, I am happy to hear the food was great! I am so sorry to see the low review. We are in the midst of a remodel and the echo and noise level have been an issue we are addressing. The remodel will be completed by 1/31/22 (pending no more border closures), this will reduce the excess noise and restore Positano back to its original beauty and ambiance. Thank you again for joining us and we apologize for the noise in the mean time.
As usual, very good food and service.
Delicious food and great vibes!
The calamari was amazing. My husband had the pork milanese which was fantastic.
I had the scallops- delicious!
Great twists on classic favorites. My crab cake was exceptional . Also many delicious artichoke dishes
Sat night crowd was frantic, but food was still good with excellent service
We've been to Positano a number of times and couldn't wait to come back to celebrate our anniversary (we hosted our rehearsal dinner here back in 2019). Although the wait staff and food were overall great, we felt extremely rushed. All of our courses came out so quickly that it almost felt pushy. "Warm chocolate" dessert came out cold as if it was pre-plated. It wasn't quite the peaceful Italian meal we were hoping to have again, but we always appreciate how hard we know the staff & kitchen are working.
We were seated in a room far away from larger groups. We enjoyed it very much and look forward to returning
Excellent and convenient in old city
We had a great experience first time at Positano Coast. Food and wine dessert choices were terrific!! Definitely coming back especially when all the outdoor seating is open! The enclosed heated section also nice option. Live music was playing within the indoor section of restaurant thus the loud noise rating made it a little hard to have a conversation when playing. Highly recommend Positano Coast!!!
Nick was amazing! His service was impeccable! The food was delicious from the wine to the soup to the pasta to the caesar salad! And the tiramisu we took home was out of this world!
We were traveling from Florida and were recommended this place by several people we met in town. We weren’t able to sit in the location we wanted (they have an indoor/outdoor area with windows open). There was a large business group who were seated there, but the area we got was still nice. The tables were not super close to each other or crowded. Our waitress was lovely, very attentive and knowledgeable. The food was also good, not GREAT Italian but good. Some of the red sauces were on the sweet side. The only downside to the meal was when we asked (pretty sure it was the manager, woman, black long hair) as she was grabbing bread from our table if all it came with was oil. I saw some tables with parmigiana cheese and wasn’t sure if we were missing something. She said yes, I asked if we could get a new basket of bread with the meal since most of ours was hard. She seemed annoyed and when she saw our meals on the table came back and, in a snarky tone, asked if we needed bread. We laughed it off. Overall good food. Just be prepared for some attitude
Always a great meal. Service on point. It’s one of neighborhood favorites.
While the food was pretty good and service very good, the noise level is excruciating! Owners: add some sound proofing to the walls and floors or something, please.
Lori, you will be Happy to know we are finishing our Remodel, as of now 1/10/22-1/31/22!!! This will bring Positano back to its full glory and ambiance. Thank you for your patronage and we hope to see you after we are complete for a quieter evening.
It was date night for me and my husband. We loved the atmosphere and our server was great. Very nice, very informative. Her customer service skills were excellent
The fish was fabulous! The pasta was incredible! The desserts were spectacular!
Meatballs? Well, they were inedible...not good at all...the only disappointment to the whole experience. Everything else was a 10 out of 10!
Eileen, I will certainly let the Chef know we had someone who did not enjoy our famous meatballs! Is there anything in particular I can let him know on your behalf? I am happy hear you enjoyed everything else thoroughly.
Favorite brunch place in Philly!
Perfect for lunch with friends. Delicious soup, excellent service. I’ll be back, for sure.
Disappointing!overpriced, no dipping oil ,no bread, had to ask for more water,
Parking a big problem. Not anxious to return.
I am very sorry to see your poor review. We do offer bread w/ oil on request to the server, I am so sorry it was missed. I will address service standards immediately with my staff. As for the parking, unfortunately that is something we cannot control, but we do recommend certain garages in the area. Thank you again and please reach out if there is anything else I can help with. Let me start by saying I am a bottomless mimosa fanatic! I was exited that this restaurant offered bottomless mimosas and sangria. The end result wasn’t so exiting! The mimosas were mostly orange juice with a splash of champagne when it should be vice versa… and very watered down sangria! I was highly disappointed that two carafes later I had no buzz what so ever! Sober! And it’s not tasteful to require everyone at the table to partake in bottomless. On top of that, my burger was a frozen patty.. yikes! The fries were delish and French toast good but not great. I won’t be back, not for brunch at least.
I apologize you did not enjoy our bottomless mimosa and sangria. We do follow a recipe and measure each Carafe before serving. We do have a responsibility to ensure our guests do not get intoxicated, the point of brunch is not to leave drunk, but to enjoy the food and atmosphere. Our burgers are never frozen, I apologize if it was not to the proper temperature, but our beef does not see a freezer.
The Food and Drinks Were all great for our date night out.
we were running late due to traffic and parking but we called and the Host was like its okay. Definitely on our list to return soon.
Everything was perfect except for one thing
Your front desk has to do a better job
We had an outside reservation for 5:45
We were taking people out to dinner who don’t eat inside
They could not guarantee a patio table
Our guests were on their way and it took much begging to get one in advance
As it turned out there was an extra available table after arguing
We eat there frequently
This should not turn into an argument
We had even bought a gift certificate to help the restaurant in need we we used for ourselves
Everything else was exceptional
Our guests did not know fortunately
I am very sorry to hear about the issue with seating requests. We do our best to accommodate inside/outside, but there are several variables that we cannot control. I will however, address the tone and verbiage my hosts use. Please accept my sincerest apologies and I am glad the evening went well after.
We had a nice family dinner on their heated outside deck on Oct 23rd. Good food & service all around.
This is a very nice restaurant, and the service was excellent, but I found the food to be nothing extraordinary. Not sure I would pay those prices again for a meal that didn't wow me.
If there is anything in particular we can change or do different please let us know your thoughts and I will relay to Chef! Shawn Leahey, Hospitality Manager Shawn@positanocoast.net
Good food for price. Very loud inside and crowded. Excellent service.
Excellent meal. Good service. Priced right.
The outdoor deck at Positano Coast is beautiful and the tables are spaciously placed. It was lovely to sit outside at night with a bit of a chill in the air and have our wine and dinner. It is quiet enough to have conversations in a normal tone. No need to raise your voice to be heard. The spinach/potato/crabcake dinner was delicious and the chocolate pyramid for dessert is a chocolate lovers dream. Our waiter was full of personality. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Outside seating was excellent Choice in this warm October evening. Delicious food / drinks were well made/ waiter Assad was outstanding !
It was very noisy . Waited a long time for anyone to come to our table Asked a waiter he said he would send someone but waited a long time , took our drink orders and very slow served in awful wine glasses .
The food was excellent !
Soon service got better and the night was saved
