   Positano Coast by Aldo Lamberti was my first Philly resturant experience when I moved to the area in 2012 and has been my favorite ever since. The total package: food, drinks, ambiance, service, personal experience, parking, constant reinvestments over the years… the blueprint for my choosing where to dine. Always well done! My experience dining on 13Aug22 was top shelf. Thank you Louis and the entire Positano Coast team.

   The smoked salmon flatbread was so fresh and amazing - it was like a Mediterranean take on bagels and lox! We ate outside on a lovely day and our service excellent - our waiter was very friendly and professional.

   Our poor waiter just couldn’t get it done. Waited a long time to place a drink and apps order then when they finally do come, my vodka soda is a gin and tonic. Wine I ordered was not available and so without announcing the change they just brought another year, not a huge deal but still. I ordered the fish of the day which was redanapper, and unfortunately never got it, did get the branzino which was fine but was charged for the snapper. I didn’t say anything at the time, because I just felt like our poor waiter was having the night from hell. Overall food was good and service really brought down the experience to almost laughable, which is what my son and his gf were doing by the end.

   I don't know if it's just on weekends w/ so many people, but the noise level was impossible. The food is never disappointing, but I cannot sit in a loud, noisy crowded restaurant.

We did just finish a remodel which was supposed to drastically reduce the noise in the building during peak times. Unfortunately, it did not help as much as planned and we are in the midst of having acoustic tiles installed to further help the issue. It is something we are conscious of and working on diligently.     A nice looking restaurant on the inside and out. An intriguing menu to take a look at. Service was very slow. The restaurant itself inside is very loud.

    I had the grilled Octopus for the first time, and it was great!! Very load for a 6:30 reservation. Atmosphere was amazing, loved the ambiance.

    We really enjoyed this restaurant! Seafood was amazing! We had the grilled octopus, mixed tempura veggies, whole grilled fish, and squid ink crab pasta! Fish and octopus was cooked to perfection and squid ink pasta was the best I had outside Italy, Croatia and Spain!

    Our server, Marina, was exceptional! She shared great insight into the menu, recommended the amazing zucchini crab cakes, and was a delight all evening. The restaurant was beautiful, the food was great, it was a wonderful meal.

    We've been here many times and count this as one of our favorites. It's always good. Love the new decor. Our server, Dane, was really outstanding and was very knowledgeable about the menu. It's also a great place to go with others - the music wasn't too loud and we could actually have a conversation with our friends.

    Fresh oysters are always nice to start. The Arancini were very nice, maybe a bit more spice in the sauce would be good. The grilled artichoke salad was excellent--perfectly dressed. And the special lobster risotto with clams & mussels was outstanding. The wine list includes my favorite Italan white: Fiano di Avellino, from Campania in southern Italy--perfectly paired with the lobster. Service is professional & efficient. The outdoor terrace was perfect at 8pm.

    We go here most years around the fourth of July, which is my wife's birthday. The food is very good, but falls short of the best, and the choices are somewhat limited. We always find something we enjoy, but I don't feel like there were four other choices I would have wanted to try. The service was technically excellent (food came promptly and was delivered to the correct person), but the staffing did have some issues, causing our initial waiter to feel the need to apologize. The wait person who took over had difficulty opening the bottle of wine. Nothing that would stop us from coming back next year. Prices were significantly higher than they had been in the past.

    The food was good, the service wasn’t good.. We did not get bread, until we asked for it several times and it arrived after we had already received the first courses, the waiter made a mistake in one first course we ordered, and we got another. We were never offered Parmesan cheese for pasta. And in general, there was a feeling that we did not have a waiter, for everything, even water, we had to chase the staff
