Positano - Asheboro
Service was great.
Food - chk alfredo was drown out by butter in the sauce. Moreover the chicken was limp and not firm.
Some visits this dish is amazing, and other times, such as this recent visit, the dish was unfortunately sub-par.
All other dishes were fantastic !
It is very frustrating that they don’t have a better way for people with mobility issues.
Positano used to be one of my favorite resturants. But, the last two times my wife and I ate there, the food was not good. It was barely warm and was cold before I could finish and I am a very fast eater. It tasted like it was Chef Boy-r-Dee out of a can. The bread was not hot, maybe just warm and not as good as it used to be. I hope things turn around we loved eating there but not sure we'll be back after the last two times. I don't know if the chef has changed or what. Service was good as normal, atmosphere was fine. Just need to work on the food and get back to where it used to be.
All I can think of is consistency. These guys are consistently great.
There was a mix up with our open table reservation, but it all worked out. Sat at a table in bar area with April as our server. She was the best! Lots of positive energy!
Excellent food with excellent service. Food was done perfectly.
Positano was a very pleasant surprise while passing through Asheboro. The food was excellent and abundant. Service was attentive. Nice atmosphere. You too will be pleasantly surprised. Prices were really good.
This restaurant was absolutely fantastic! Great service and will be returning. The owner of the restaurant is the chef!! Wow! You should go check out this place 😍 The best food in town!!! 💕
Best Italian food! The service is great, my family enjoyed our meal and service.
Kudos to Sheila who was very professional as always ... our out-of-town guests were quite impressed!
We came a party of 17. No one had ever been there before. Our experience was great. All have said they will return. Everyone’ Food was fabulous.
Great! We will be back!
Haven't had a bad meal ever there. It is our go to place when we want Italian food. We live in Healing Springs and worth the 40 min drive.
The Service, Food, and Value for this restaurant are all excellent. Visited for the first time recently, and ordered one of the veal dishes. The atmosphere is nice, and the service was great. Best of all, the meal was outstanding. The veal was cooked and seasoned perfectly, as was everything else. This is probably going to be the best Italian restaurant in 40 miles or so, maybe more.
The service was very very slow. I asked for ranch dressing with my calamari. Never got it. Waitress came back and said "Oh, I forgot your ranch" and I replied "I know". Her response "darn". No apology. Had to ask for a refill on tea. Never offered any Parmesan cheese for our dinners. Menu says "no substitutions so we may better serve you". So it is all about them and not about the customers. The dinners were overpriced for the amount of food you receive. My son ordered lasagna. The meat tasted like breaded frozen meatballs (mostly bread, not meat). Would I go back again? NEVER!!!
I had the gnocchi and it was drowned in way to much sauce, but it had a good flavor. I loved the warm complementary bread served, it was great! The calamari was very tender, and the bruschetta was nicely seasoned and toasted. The server was pleasant and attentive, in all a very good experience!
We really enjoy Positano's. The food is always good. It is so nice to have such a nice Italian restaurant in Asheboro without having to drive to Greensboro.
The food was delicious and our waitress was very nice. However- beware of the daily special! We went the night before Father’s Day and the special was salmon and mashed potatoes. The special was on a big board by the hostess stand but no price was listed. Got the bill- and that one plate was $22!!!!! All other entrees were $12-$15 so I didn’t think the salmon would cost that much more. I know better for next time, but the ambiance was very nice so my family will definitely be back.
Great food. Great service. Plenty of room for large gatherings.
Positano serves consistently good food in a pleasant, inviting atmosphere.
One of our favorite restaurants. Haven't had a bad meal there yet.
Have been several times. Never a wait for our reservation. The service has been great and the food, even better.
Tori is the best waitress here and always makes it worthwhile.
This is our go to place. However, Saturday night was awful. We had an 8pm reservation. We waited 10 minutes and no server. We had to address the hostess about it. She herself came over and took our drink orders. We ordered a bottle of wine and they brought the wine all served up in glasses to our table. We sent it back and the manager came back with the glasses and said she had opened a new bottle and poured the glasses at the bar and walked away. We had no idea we were drinking what we ordered. We never saw the bottle nor were we given the opportunity to taste the wine as is the normal process when ordering a bottle. The young girl serving us seemed upset that she was given an extra table. When she served our food she slammed the plates down in front of us. Never asked us if all was ok, could she get us anything. The meal itself was fabulous as always. However, the service, the manager, the server were awful. Asheboro has so few restaurants so we don't have the luxury of just not going back. If there were other choices ....we would not return. But this is not the first time we have experienced poor service. The manager there is also not fit to be a manager of a restaurant...she is not personable, doesn't seem to help pick up any slack, she is basically just rude and her true colors shined bright on Saturday with the wine situation.
We were a group of 8 friends and family from other towns meeting to celebrate a birthday. They had our table ready and a server assigned. Victoria took good care of us on a busy night. We all enjoyed the food and our time together. All-in-all a very pleasant experience.
As usual a great meal. Love the ambience and food. However, they need beef options.
Delicious, authentic Italian food. Can't wait to go back!
All the staff was pleasant. No problems with waitress, very polite and courteous. The food was outstanding. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting good Italian food.
Excellent food and service.......Highly recommended
We dine at Positano twice yearly, during Furniture Market. This is the only time we've had something that wasn't quite right. Ordered the Veggie Pizza and most of the veggies (including the onion and garlic) were raw. Not good. Otherwise, we've always been happy with our choices. Eggplant parmesan, spaghetti, and lasagna are delicious.
I had the Veal Parmigiana which was real good. Service was okay..
We enjoyed our dinner at Positano in Asheboro. Everything was great!
Excellent food and service. Wished I could have eaten more food because there were so many wonderful options and everything we had was amazing.
Prompt seating with reservation and attentive wait staff.
Food is always very good.
Good food, good service. Almost as good as Timothy's.
The only minor exception was that the portion size of the lasagna was small.
Otherwise, it was delicious, and you are doing a great job.
The table was ready when we arrived, even 20 minutes early. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. The only downfall was the price, I feel it was a little overpriced for what it was.
Good variety of food choices and friendly service. The bread and oil before the meal heightens our talking and our appetites.
The food was fantastic as usual. The lasagna is the best I've ever had. And the service was over the top. I believe our waitress name was Carrie and she was terrific. She really came across as truly caring about our experience. I hope she gets the kudos she deserves and we will be asking for her at our next visit.
Food is great! Service is good most of the time. Can be a bit noisy since sound from the bar carries over to te dining area.
