Poseidon Restaurant & Outdoor Lounge
At Poseidon Greek Restaurant & Outdoor Lounge, the chefs follow Hippocrates recommendation that "food be thy medicine," by crafting healthy dishes rather than making popsicles from cough syrup. He sprinkle their recipes with krocus kozanis, a golden Greek spice, and infuses meals with oregano, rosemary, and thyme culled from the Taygetos Mountain of Kalamata. They also import fresh fish from the Aegean Sea before brushing salmon with extra virgin olive oil and tossing pasta with a medley of shellfish. Slick white tables and cool blue walls recall a refreshing day spent among the blue and white abodes lining the Greek shores of the Mediterranean.

What a thrill to not only meet Chef Demetrius, but to also have him debone my perfectly prepared fish. Everything was exceptional. Many thanks for a fabulous birthday dinner 🙏🏼
Dimitri was super nice and inviting! Staff was prompt and professional.
The food is amazing and the service phenomenal . It was the best Greek food we had in Miami
Went here for my birthday meal. We started with the Octopus, which was served on a bed of beans with a mustardy dressing. We liked the Octopus, but the beans and dressing wasn't that great!
For our main course I had the lamb shank. The lamb shank was huge & cooked beautifully. I also had a side of fries which were also excellent.
And because of the lack of vegetarian options, my wife had the spinach pie and the fried squid. The squid was good, but wished they had a grilled option. My wife wasn't impressed with spinach pie, but I kind of liked it.
Over all, it was a pretty good meal, with good service. Although a little on the pricey side.
I'd say it was more Greek'ish, than Greek, but still liked it.
I will recommend. It is a authentic Greek restaurant and the food is fresh and very delicious. We will definitely come back
The grilled octopus was amazing
Awesome food! Definitely try the octopus. It's delicious.
Excellent food combinations. Perfectly picked ingredients. Loved the athmosphe!
Absolutely fantastic food. You want to dine outside away from the noise this is the place to go.
Great place and authentic greek food. Love the Moussaka and the octopus. The service was very good, courteous. warm and efficient. I would go back if in the area
Yoghurt was old. Had to be remade. Meat and fish excellent. Greek salad was with breadcrumbs though gglutein-free diet asked. No value for money.
First off - the food was fantastic. Amazingly fresh and delicious.
We had a nice table outside. The only complaint was that the plates were a little too big for the tables.
It’s a bit pricey, but the quality is excellent.
Delicious seafood, good wine. Friendly welcome, cozy seating outside in the candle-light. However, serving was not well sequenced. One person got the warm starter early, the second - late. And then the warm main course arrived on the table, when the second starter was not yet finished. No excuse.
Food was delicious and service was outstanding
Good food and service.
Out of 5 dinners while vacationing here in March I loved this one the most! The food and service were great. I highly recommend!
Food was great - Greek / seafood - Had a whole sea bass, deboned and prepped tableside by our waitress who was from Greece. She told us about dishes that were from her island. There was a belly dancer entertaining the guests. Grilled shrimp were huge and well cooked. Great times!
We really enjoyed the artichokes with feta appetizer, which I recommend. The Greek salad was underwhelming - just tomatoes, feta and a few thinly sliced cucumbers for $16! The whole fish was fresh and tasty, but very pricey and not very special. The kale that was underneath it was under-cooked. The baklava was superb, but again a small serving for the price. I would have preferred a larger slice and less ice cream.
Our server was very charming and helpful, but the kitchen cooked our fish too early and we were not finished with our appetizers before the main course arrived. We were not being overly slow in eating because we had to make a curtain later that evening. I had to wave them off twice from taking our plates before we were through with our appetizers. (Our waiter graciously apologized but the damage was done).
Poseidon was our 5th and last night in SoBe, and all 4 of the other restaurants were better. It's not just about price because one of them (A fish Called Avalon) was just as expensive but it was a far better value.
Found this gem on opentable during a trip to Miami. Extremely authentic. We started with the octopus which is tough to cook and they did a beautiful job. It cut like butter and the chickpea sauce underneath was absolutely delightful. Entrees were superb. The owner graciously brought out a desert and it was delicious. Portion sizes were properly priced as well as the wine selection. Will definitely be gong back on my next visit.
Delicious Greek food! Best Greek Salad I’ve ever had!
Amazing restaurant! Great food, great service, nice atmosphere, food presentation was excellent! We're greek and we were very impressed with everything! Especially the bougatsa. It was the best we've ever had. (Don't tell my mother in law:)
The staff were very helpful, accommodating, and worked well as a team. The atmosphere was very pleasant: tastefully decorated with good lighting for dinner, comfortable seating with pleasant music. The arugula and crab salad was excellent. The (recommended) seafood risotto for two was very good. My wife and I had a glass of house wine each, shared the salad , shared risotto for two, and shared an order of baklava (with to die for Greek yogurt). With taxes and tip it came to $150.
We liked the grilled octopus and favabeens that came with the grilled shrimp. However we did not expect the yogurt on top of the favabeens.
Best greek in Miami. Loved everything. Excellent food. Good music and dancer. 😋😋💃🏻💃🏻
Hit and miss. The appetizer plate (greek spreads) was excellent, as was the grilled fish. But, salads, meats were disappointing. Lentil soup was too sour. Also, more expensive than what we expected.
WE enjoyed everything about this restaurant. The moussaka was excellent.
Food was great. Service was great. We'll definitely go back again.
I wanted to love this restaurant, and things started quite well as the mussels I ordered as a starter were delicious! however, I was only halfway through eating them when my main course was delivered to my table by a waitress who just put it down and walked away. I felt under some pressure then to finish my starter and move onto my main before it got cold. I'd ordered swordfish as a main and it was tasty but the potatoes it came with were disalpointing - both fry and oily at the same time. Similar the orange cake I had for dessert was quite ordinary and tasted like a pre-packaged sponge I could have got at Walgreens. I was offered tea, and requested Earl Grey, but was told they had run out, so I chose another flavour from the range of teabags on offer.
The total bill came to $103 for 3 courses, for 1 person, with 1 glass of house wine, with a 20% service fee included. I paid, but I really don't feel that the service I got was worth the prices charged here. Perhaps that's why the place was almost entirely empty.
There was many good fish choices. What we had (Sea Bream) was delicious. They deboned it by our table. The service was very good and very friendly.
Enjoyed a beautiful birthday dinner! The maitre d was extraordinary. Overall we had an unforgettable experience. Thank you for your hospitality. We will be back the next time we are in South Beach!
This was our third time here. Never disappoints! Highly recommended.
We had a lovely dinner with very good service - especially loved the Mediterranean dip appetizer and the grilled shrimp. Stuffed calamari was very chewy and we thought the prices were high, although since we were just passing through for a night, maybe that's typical for Miami!
Perfect restaurant for special dinners. Wonderful ambience and delicious food. I definitely recommend it. It’s worth every dollar.
Absolutely delicious. Great service. A perfect reason to get off Ocean Drive
Excellent food and service, highly recommend it. Would definitely eat there again the next time travel takes me to Miami. The free shots of ouzo when we first sat down didn't hurt!
Excellent and authentic Greek Cuisine The octopus was delicious
Greece restaurant with internazionale influence; very high quality food and fish; very good service
Great locals place for Greek. Try the Octopus app as it is like no other.
Loved it the fish was fresh cooked to perfection. Baklava was one of the best I’ve had.
