House-made ravioli stuffed with lobster & served with our lobster-tomato cream
Grilled lamb chops over bourbon soaked cherry, spinach & mint risotto finished with balsamic reduction & crumbled goat cheese
Grilled Artisan bread with extra virgin olive oil, tomato-basil relish & gorgonzola cream
My worst dining experience in my life. The entree I ordered was totally wrong and not what I ordered. The waitress was like tuff shi-. The manager came over and he was no better. The waitress kept glaring at us and made a couple of snide remarks. A very unpleasant experience. It actually got nasty on there part. I will never go back there.
Amazing as always! Delicious food! Perfect atmosphere! Great service! Obsessed with the patio!
The food is consistently very good. It has a nice atmosphere and great service.
Great dining experience : beautiful patio, quiet interior with tables widely spaced. Food was spectacular, as was our service. Highly recommend !
Rusty was clearly a victim of the restaurant being forced to run on a skeleton crew, despite that he was attentive, kind, and informative. Top notch service.
Wonderful food and service as always. Could have used some better ambience lighting or brighter table top candle would be my only suggestion.
Great food and drinks. Patio was great and wait staff was awesome
The food and service was outstanding. The patio is lovely and the social distance was great. All servers wore masks.
Great wine, dinner, service, and environment! Had a great time.
Great food and experience! Thank you!
Great as always!
Pricey but incredibly good food and perfect ambience. Will be going back!
Good place for date night. The snapper special was delicious. The serrano watermelon margarita was fabulous!!
Overall we had a good experience. Three of us had great food however my salmon was dry and overcooked. In addition, one of the servers was very unpleasant when I accidentally started to walk to the restroom without my mask. Eat here if you want to be watched like a hawk regarding proper mask wearing! They are faithfully obedient to Andy!
Excellent Food , Excellent Service, A Lexington Gem
Never disappoints !
What a lovely patio! The lobster ravioli and shrimp & scallops were both delicious. Good service rounded out a nice evening.
Food was delicious although a little pricey. Social distancing was observed and our waiter was helpful. I would recommend Portofino's!
If u love great Italian food with great ambiance but still casual Portofino is it!
Everything thing we ordered was fantastic and I’ve eaten at Italian restaurants in many cities. This place is a hidden gem in Lexington.
Excellent food and service - love the outdoor patio!
Great service from Tom. The distancing was perfect. Very hospitable staff. You pored a good drink. Thank you.
Celebrated a friends anniversary here. We had a nice table on the patio, in shade too! They were practicing social distancing. All servers had mask and gloves and we visibly saw them sanitizing and cleaning all the time. Service was wonderful, very attentive. The drinks made by Kristen were fabulous. Food was superb. Surf and turf was cooked perfectly and they even threw a free tiramisu for the special occasion. On a scale of 1-10 I would rate it a 12. I would highly recommend Portofino for anyone who wants the perfect dining experience.
we loved it, food and service was great. I had the halibut special and it was very good. My husband had meatballs and he loved them
The staff, food and service was amazing as always.
Everything was great
Great food, service and beautiful patio! Perfect for a birthday dinner
Wonderful food, exceptional service. I would suggest a better Sirius XM radio station. The 80s and 90s kind of killed the ambiance of the restaurant. The commercials were very confusing to the price point of the food and exceptional service.
Portofino's is my family's favorite place to eat dinner for any special occasion. They always have excellent service, outstanding food and great cocktails. Every dish is really spectacular! The outside patio is lovely, so don't hesitate to try out this Lexington gem!
We had a birthday dinner for my husband with our best friends and
enjoyed very much. The food was so good, as always!
This was our first visit to Portofino, and it was wonderful. We sat in the courtyard because we are not comfortable with indoor dining due to the pandemic, and the staff has taken all necessary precautions to ensure health and safety. Everyone had on a mask. Tables were distances by well more than 6 feet. The courtyard is beautiful. We started with the grilled brie with strawberry preservers, yum! I would go back again just to have this. I had the whole Bronzino which was cooked to perfection. I wasn't a huge fan and a farro slaw served with the fish, but that's probably because I'm not really a fan of farro or slaw in general. If you like farro, I'm sure you'll love it. My partner has a vegetarian pasta which was also delicious. We were celebrating my birthday, so they provided a free tiramisu for dessert. Also, yummy! Our server was great. We never wanted for anything. We will definitely be going back.
The courtyard seating is beautiful and relaxing.
The food was delicious. We had the scallop and spring pasta. The linguine was perfect! The seafood cooked just right, and the sauce gave off a richness without becoming heavy
Great Patio. Great food. A number of entrees to choose from
consistently delicious every time we dine here
Loved our dinners. Our waiter wore a mask and gloves and we were on the patio so felt very safe.
Absolutely amazing food in a wonderful atmosphere full of character and delicious smells. Will go back SO many times!
Delightful evening in Portofino’s outdoor space, made extra special by Wayne’s visit to our table. What a treat!
Great night out for dinner!! Portofino was excellent. Food and service were perfect. Highly recommended. We felt very safe despite COVID. All restrictions and mask wearing were strictly followed by Portofino staff. We will definitely be back.
We braved the COVID shut down to go to Portofino for dinner. We felt very safe there. The waiters were all masked and the tables a good six feet apart from each other. The food and service was as good as ever. We had the cheese and fruit plate appetizer [it's called "Artisan Cheese & Charcuterie" - excellent! Don't ask me to pronounce it. Then we split the Veal Meatballs and Posta main course. Also excellent. Traditional Tiramisu for desert with cappachino. Overall a perfect evening out from top to bottom!!!
Dinner at Portofino is always a great experience. The staff read my notes in OpenTable and sat my newly wed husband and I in a romantic spot on the patio. We ordered the meats and cheese appetizer which is the only place I was not as satisfied as usual. The ham was sliced incredibly thick and with heavy fat, resembled raw bacon. I was able to pick a few thinner slices but my husband thought it was perfect. Grilled ceasar was zesty and followed with the classic house made cheese ravioli in sage butter sauce (this recipe had changed but still delicious). We added Italian sausage and ate every morsel. To celebrate our nuptials, complementary Tirimisu was the perfect not to sweet ending to a beautiful night. If you haven't been in it s nearly 25 years in Lexington, remedy.
