Portland Seafood Co. - Washington Square
Although not bad, the food was pretty standard fare. Didnt give you the wow factor. Clam chowder was delicious. Fish n Chips....mehhh. Nothing special. Service seemed a bit slow, even though the place wasnt that busy. Waiter was nice, just took his time making his rounds. I'm not too picky, or critique things to death, but I expected a little more for the price and the reviews. I'd still eat here again, but not in any hurry to.
Terrible food. Chain style menu. Seafood gumbo was out a cup of tomato sauce, four discs of sausage, 3 slippery oysters and 4 shrimp on 2 cups of rice. Wine glass was from the 70's, about 1/4" thick. Service was the worst of a 7 day trip. Uppity server so slow and thoughtless.
Delicious food. Great portion sizes. We had the Valentine’s Day special for two which was fabulous. My husband didn’t love the “fancy salad,” but I thought everything was delicious.
We had to wait about 30 minutes plus before any food came to the table. The food wasn’t really as described and the steak was so hard to eat and it was not cheap at all.The atmosphere was not the best. I will not go back again. It was my first and it will be my last
The food was just ok.... I think our waitress didn't put in our order on time.. We waited so long.. She offered bread.. Which was good.. But I'm from Chicago.. So the food scene here in washington is not that great!!!
Great food, fast service. Was seated right a way because we had a reservation. Food choices were good. Food came fast after order was taken.
W eat here’s often and always friendly folks, great service & food!
As always, the food and service were wonderful. Love the location too. Perfect place to meet friends or to take a break from shopping.
Relaxing atmosphere, enjoyable food. I'd recommend.
Wonderful food, great place to sit eat and talk.
Service was mediocre. Took quite a while to get food and drinks, no drink refills, was overall a, meh, experience
Good food and quick service on a busy night.
For being a fish company they only had small shrimp and not a huge selection of fish. I was very disappointed. Food was not all that great. I would definitely go elsewhere.
I choose Portland Seafood Company for my mothers 75th birthday she wanted seafood & not in Portland. My mom had a wonderful meal of fish & chips with sweet potato fries & something like flan for dessert. We ordered the manilla clams & ended up with horse clams that was a disappointment but everything else was great. Perfect serving size.
Had a great holiday lunch. Their oven broke down so the stuffed mushrooms took a bit of time to be served, but they explained.
This place had okay food, okay ambience, and terrible service. And the restaurant was dirty. Not going back.
Food was bland and wasn’t as described - wait staff didn’t check on us for food quality so we had to hunt them down to just get water and ketchup. Not going back.
The server was excellent and the food was good. It was a little bit noisy for us which was a downside and we didn't know where in the mall it was because we found it on yelp. Otherwise, great. :)
We were seated quickly and Josef approached our table. We both requested water with lemon and that was quickly brought to the table. He then took our order and we said and relax until the food was delivered. We had both ordered the Tuesday taco special and it was delicious. We enjoyed our meal very much and the decorations for Christmas just beautiful.
It was so good we went back again the next night. Excellent menu and very friendly service. I highly recommend it.
Great happy hour with lots of food options at reduced price. Friendly bartender and good service.
Very slow service. Had to wait 15 minutes before anyone came to take our order. Ordered two chef’s salads and it took another 20 min to get them.
They were very good but took way to long to get.
We were just visiting Portland for the first time and were looking for a moderately priced local seafood restaurant. This one had good reviews so we gave it a try. The food was great without being overly priced and the server couldn’t be friendlier. I was glad we went there.
My family loves this restaurant. The food is good. The price is reasonable for what you get. Always delicious.
Came to celebrate our daughter’s birthday and PSC is part of our tradition. Crab bucket was great with fresh crab, slightly spicy andouille sausage, corn, clams and cod. We also had a deliciously ocean-kissed oyster shooter, the clam chowder with bacon, and a very garlicky halibut with pesto and noodles. All were devoured along with a burnt cream and berry cobbler for dessert. We were happy to see that they had cut back on the oil used for the green beans.
While it has gotten more expensive since we started dining here, there prices are still fair for good seafood. Service is effective and friendly. The only suggestion would be the music. It’s consistently 50’s rockabilly which is fine in small doses. It used to be jazz which I loved so much more and made it feel special — more than a mall restaurant.
Fun food and ambience. I always get their clam chowder.
It was my birthday and our birthday club decided to go here to celebrate. We were given a lovely table in the back so that we wouldn’t be disturbed or disturb anyone else. Our server was very friendly and gracious and quickly brought the drinks that we had ordered. She took our lunch orders and food came out very in a short amount of time. She checked back periodically to make sure that we had everything that we needed. Checks came quickly and were brought back just as fast. It was a lovely time for me and my group.
Stopped in for a quick dinner Friday night. The food was excellent and plentiful. The service was great too.
We had a great time. Food was good and server was helpful.
They weren't very busy but there was a group of 16 just before us, so our meals took a while. The waiter apologized and offered us free clam chowder to keep us going which we thought was a good "keep the customer happy" thing to do. Waiter was very attentive, took our orders correctly and was efficient and friendly. Food was very good.
Nice lunch with my Mom, good food and professional service.
Service was slow, food was 'meh' (not that special).
Service was excellent. Fish and chips were excellent. My ten year old son loves to come here for his birthday lunch with family, and gorge himself on Calamari, before heading to the Lego Store to spend all his birthday money. It's tradition.
I find the dining room dim and depressing. Even a lighter shade paint would help, and some better light fixtures.
It's a spendy lunch. Like WOW for three pieces of fish and chips, but it was really good, and the servers were pros.
Good food and such wonderful service from Kortnie...she’s the best!
We had great service and wonderful food. The restaurant was not super busy so we could actually hear each other talk. We would definitely go there again.
Our server Lewis was very very professional. Although the food was very good the stuffed mushrooms tasted like they were a day old. The halibut was very good. My wife ordered the trout but it seemed to be a little off-base other than that it was very good.
We really enjoyed our dinner. My wife had the crab linguini from their specials sheet. It was loaded with crab and tasted great. I had the crab and shrimp stuffed steelhead; also very tasty. I would have liked just a little more of the sauce with it. Service was excellent. We would definitely go here again.
Great waiter - Alex
The food was good, just not great. Better than Red Lobster, not as good as Anthony's in WA. I loved the brussels sprouts. We would visit again, but it won't be at the top of our list.
Must try their lobster
