Pretty good food
was outstanding but you should do something special when its a birthday or special occasion!
Went for Mother's Day dinner. Place had lots of open tables - surprised by that. Food was good but felt a bit pricey for what we got. Would still go back.
Out of a lot of items for mother’s day. It wasn’t late in the evening it was 5:30, should have been better stocked.
The waiter was excellent we love the intimate scene for the 3 of us always wanted to come here and this is the place I chose for Mothers Day the broiled lobster and shrimp amazing did not know really how to get the meat out of the lobster tail my sister was looking forward to the scallops or tuna fish n chip neither was available also would of liked an option for vegis or salad instead of paying extra not so here other then that we for sure will be back we came from Vancouver and thought it was totally awesome for sure
The server was exceptional. The food was some of the freshest & best seafood we’ve ever had. Great experience & we will be back
We enjoyed the food and the company! Out of the way and parking close for elderly.
Cynthia was our server and she was phenomenal! Our 20 year anniversary and she treated us like royalty!! The food was outstanding and the pricing was right on point!! Two thumbs up!
Our son was in town for a day business trip. We went here after he got off work and was on his way to PDX.
The food was a lot better than McGrath's. This is going to be our new seafood restaurant for everyday dining.
People are great and the food is okay. Crab bucket was really good but the New England clam chowder was not very good at all.
Absolutely excellent fresh seafood food!! We will be back!
My husband and I rediscovered this place and so glad we did. It is a nice change from a steakhouse and we are so happy that the team there are so courteous, friendly and the food was great. So far, we have had the surf and turf, lobster and an amazing crab linguini. All really good for a nice price point and not downtown or trendy, ie. Long lines for okay good.
The seafood here is always flavorful and fresh. Try the bleu cheese, apple, pecan salad - marvelous. Shane, our server, is an absolute star. We have had him several times. This guy is really on his game. He knows the good, knows how they cook it, can make any substitution or alteration you might want, and he's fast and accurate. He genuinely loves his job and likes people.
I've had the fish tacos, sole, stuffed halibut, cioppino, fish and chips, and many other dishes on the menu here. This is one of the best seafood places around Portland, period.
The service was excellent. The food was great. Will come again.
We had a table of six and all of the staff was very accommodating. It is the favorite restaurant of two of those with us. One of us was vegan and they did their best to assist us in finding something for her as there weren't a lot of options on the menu. Our server was very professional and helpful.
I was very dissatisfied with our experience. The lobster was horrible. The crab was overcooked to the point it was almost dry. They did replace the lobster and crab. I have to give them credit for that. However, the replacement lobster was no better than the first one. The crab was better, but not by much. On the other hand, the service was wonderful.
Our waitress Cynthia was wonderful! We went to celebrate my moms birthday, the food and our service was wonderful
My Japanese client had just flown in from Tokyo and wanted seafood. I found this place on the internet and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. The wait-staff was fantastic and were extremely gracious to my client. The food and wine were great.
I had indicated on the Open Table reservation that we were celebrating a birthday. When we arrived, we had to wait for someone to come from the bar to greet us and set up our table. As we were being escorted to our table the employee who was leading us said "I see you're here for a birthday." That was the one and only time that anyone acknowledged that we were celebrating a special occasion - no one asked whose birthday it was or if we were celebrating anything special. What is the point of noting that you're celebrating something on the reservation if the restaurant barely takes notice of it? Near the end of our meal my grandson was eating the ice cream sundae that came with his meal and he made a point of thanking our waiter for his dessert. Our waiter didn't reply either of the two times that my grandson thanked him. He either didn't hear him or chose to ignore him - this was very disappointing to me.
On the other hand, my dinner of hazelnut crusted halibut was delicious and my husband greatly enjoyed his stuffed steel-head. The rest of our group enjoyed their food also.
So, I can recommend Portland Seafood Company for their food, but I cannot recommend them for their service.
Easter dinner with family
Best oyster shooters in Portland. Food was great and the server was very attentive.
Slow service. Second year in a row they "ran out" of my favorite bottled beer. I now doubt that they actually even keep it in stock but it stays on the menu. Probably won't return.
My husband and I went for a date night. Everything was wonderful as we had a small window of time to enjoy ourselves before picking up the kids from the sitter. We had the surf and turf, as well as the lobster and shrimp. Everything was delicious and our water and lemonade cups stayed full. We love getting a nice meal and attentive service.
This was our first visit, and we were greatly satisfied. Seated upon our arrival, and our waitress was very attentive. Food was very tasty, and the portion sizes were ample! Will definitely plan a return trip in the near future.
I have always loved the way they cook the seafood here. Just right- not over done. I was very disappointed this time. The waitress was very slow to come around. She must have left the food too long under the heat. My coho outer edge was stiff & hard to cut. Then to top it off, when she finally came around for me to pay, she charged someone else's ticket to my card! She took a real long time in between getting back to the table. She also forgot my to go box. I had to keep repeating everything to remind her. My friend said her food was cold so she wasn't satisfied. It still hasn't been rectified and I'm very leery to go back there! I feel unsafe.
Didn't check out the restaurant but the bar was a happening place.
It was very appealing and we had a soy allergy it was perfect.
A wonderful meal! We are still thinking about the coconut prawns! The best we have ever had!!
Our dinner was excellent, as usual. Our server was the best, and very attentive!
Even marginal food can be made better by a positive environment, unfortunately, our server was aloof from the get go, and made us feel rushed throughout the whole experience. We were there to meet some friends we hadn't seen in awhile, but even with the catching up we had to do and all, we were not abusive taking our time. In the end, he didn't even offered us dessert, and brought our check soon after picking up plates. He continued to make us feel as if he had a place to go and we were holding him up with the check. Eventually he probably gave up or left because we didn't see him at all after that, and his presence was not really missed. The food was ok. But the whole experience left us wishing for a lot more from our server if not the kitchen.
We had a delightful birthday dinner for my mother who turned 68 this year, there were six of us total. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious! Reasonably priced as well. This will be one of our go to restaurants from now on!
We were visiting Portland from Hawaii and wanted to find a place for seafood. There were menu options for our family; seafood & salad for the adults & pasta for the teenager. Staff were friendly & service was good. Will definitely stop by again during our next visit.
The portions are very generous which is why we shared the Surf & Turf meal. The pre-meal bread was warm and tasty!
This place is very consistent, friendly people and good waiters. The food is always good and fresh.
Great food, not bad pricing. Think Olive Garden/red lobster corporate level but in some ways better. Limited legroom in booths unfortunately. I live the chicken parm and chicken with andouille sausage. Partner loves the bucket. Great sourdough bread to start and great desserts! Also, good rewards program!
Reservations were made to celebrate a friends 72nd Birthday party. Nothing special happened and the waiter didn't even know we were celebrating a birthday until I paid my bill and mentioned it. It was than that he offered something. I felt rushed, when ordering appetizers the waiter left the table before I was able to finish what I was ordering because he was also waiting on other patrons. It was clear he was so busy he didnt' have time to hear what I was asking. Our appetizers came out separately and than our food was delivered on top of that. It was rushed and an unpleasant experience.
Joined friends and family for my birthday. It was a happy afternoon. Thank you for the food and fun.
Good food nice service
Food was way better then I thought it would be and the drinks were great too. And our waiter even gave my mom a free dessert for her birthday. I will definitely be back
We had a good lunch.....food was fresh and presented well.
