   Very loud in the dining room. The sauce on the cioppino was very sweet which it shouldn’t be. Service was fine.

   Honestly the server was very rude and the face expression he would make when we would ask for something were not nice. He was dropping things and bumping into other servers were one dropped all the dishes that he was carrying. We were not to fare from the kitchen we would hear the workers cussing. Just overall I would say PCG is loosing its customer service level that it once was. Becoming trashy do to the employees that are there. Will not be back soon.

   The Braised Beef reminded me of my grandmothers roast and was absolutely delicious. The Caesar Salad dressing was runny and made the lettuce soggy. The Mac and Cheese was great and was definitely worth the 12 dollars.

    Wonderful experience dining on the 30th floor with a fantastic view over Portland! So memorable for a special event! This event was on Saturday and kitchen seemed to be on a busier side thus my food was just luke warm, somewhat disappointing. Our waiter Shane was very attentive and effective collecting menu orders and suggested a wonderful New Zealand white wine to go with my dinner choice. I also enjoyed my cocktail Diamonds and Gold. Interior was comfortable with warm lighting and intimate feel.

    Been here before for dinner at the bar but wanted to come back to experience the good views. I made ressies via OpenTable for the first 4pm opening. Side note: this place is REALLY big, so even though you’re the first seating, so is everyone else. I swear there were like 25 other parties that were seated at the same time we were. By the time we left (just an hour later), 3/4 of the restaurant was full. The hostess was nice, but her counterpart, was kinda rude and not very friendly at all. Anyway, moving on, we were seated, and our waiter came by shortly after. Although he was doing his job, he too was also not very friendly or attentive. Maybe it’s bc we just had apps and drinks. Whatever the case, he took our order, served our food/drinks and never came back. We prob would’ve stayed for another cocktail but our glasses were empty, and no one bothered to ask if we wanted another. It’s too bad we had semi crappy service. The views and company made up for it. Food was good. we ordered the calamari which was good, but note, it’s not your typical one that is deep fried. It has a semi sweet glaze over it. Very good though. Fries were also good bc I like a nice steak fry. I would come back again. The two not so friendly employees did not discourage me from revisiting in the future. They were not the worst, but they sure were not the happiest campers that day. Can't beat this place for cocktails with a city view.

    Food was good overall, kungpao calamari was awesome and so was all our entrees. The waiter said he was going to bring some extra bread at start but that never came by.

    Service was great. Quality of food was excellent. The jambalaya is way more like a red curry. So if you like curry. Great. If you are craving jambalaya you won’t be happy. But it was still really good because I like both. Haha.

    Had a great meal. Only Complaint was that we waited 1.5 hours for our food and at no time did anyone mention to us they were behind, running slow, etc. we had tickets to a show and ended up being late and did not have time to eat our dessert. Just ask for good communication.

    The drinks took almost 25 minutes to get to our table. We were not able to relax before our show because drinks and food were delayed. Forget about having time for dessert. At 4pm on a Sunday this should not to an issue. Our evening was rushed for my parents 63rd Anniversary. The waiter was kind but he wasn’t able to do anything to fix it. We allowed plenty of time and instructed the waiter of our plans to attend moulin Rouge. Very Disappointed. I was at your restaurant this prior Thursday and had excellent experience.

    We asked for window seating, and even when there were opened window tables we were not given one. The steak came way undercooked, and the server had too many tables to attend that could not keep up. The place has a lot of potential, but it needs to step it up.

    First let me say that Jeff was exceptional! Really top notch service. It was a wierd food night because some of our dishes were great--the oysters, the bahn bao, the cod... and some of our dishes were just, well...not good or not well prepared. I must say here that we didn't complain to our server, we were having a last night going away dinner with our daughter and didn't want to spoil the mood with complaints. But the calamari was flavorless, I paid $25 for a side of scallops and received TWO, so two scallops at $12.50 apiece, and they were cold as stones when they arrived. Hot cod, stone cold scallops. My daughters shrimp were cold and her steak under and literally cold to the touch. So a mixed bag and I know there were a lot of people dining but we were there at 5:00 pm... just disappointed in the execution and wonder if two scallops justify a $25 price tag?

    A Portland tradition that offers exceptional views of the Rose City, Portland City Grill's robust menu includes steaks, seafood, sushi, and a variety of salads served with freshly baked warm bread. We came to this landmark restaurant to celebrate a very special birthday. Adam, our waiter, took special care to bring us the flourless chocolate cake with a lighted candle and three forks. It was great fun and a memorable evening!

    Please see my review for this business on Yelp. Awful experience with the hostess but amazing service by Megan our server. Main course was awful but drinks and oysters were great. Hostess was nasty, rude and flipping us off and screaming at us while she was getting in an Uber outside the restaurant. I have pictures and a video.

    This place was a real mixed bag tonight. When walking in I almost bit the dust. They are reworking the tile in their entry and instead of placing a piece of plywood in the open space to make the floor level, they just threw a rug over it. I'm sure I'm not the only person who stepped on it the wrong way. Dinner was a price fixe menu, which was a big disappointment considering how long ago we made our reservations. We weren't given any notice about this change until we sat down. I'm also sure we weren't the only person tripped up by this. We ordered a couple of appetizers; kung pow calamari and the cheese platter. The calamari was amazing! Crispy, tender, flavorful, perfect! The cheeses were wonderful also, but serving them with unripe strawberries and too few crackers tempered our enjoyment a bit. My wife loved their take on a blue cheese wedge while my Caesar was lacking bite. I opted for the jambalaya entree and was not disappointed. Adding the grilled/blackened fish piece was a nice surprise. My wife, as usual, ordered the tenderloin. While requested medium it was overdone just enough to have the juicy consistency of a cardboard box. Her green beans and potato were perfectly done and quite enjoyable. Our server was fantastic, the manager offered a discount when it was apparent the steak wasn't being eaten, and the drinks were on point. See what I mean? Mixed bag. We'd definitely go back, but not during a special event.

    New Year’s Eve fixed price dinner was very good! Service was wonderful. Very busy evening for the restaurant but food came out in a timely manner. Construction going on but that happens. A little expensive I’d add.

    The ambiance, food, and service were all excellent. I had the scallops, butternut squash salad, and the raspberry flourless chocolate cake and it was some of the best food I’ve ever had. The room was quite full but somehow the noise level was quite low. We didn’t have a window seat but the view was still nice and the service was high class. Everything was on the expensive side, so the value for the money could be better, but otherwise this was one of the better dinning experiences I’ve ever had.

    We wanted a nice dining experience in Portland as we were there for NYE. The night we went the restaurant was very busy, the tables are very close together… easy to hear the conversations around us. The food was good, mussels, beef short rib and jambalaya for dinner, and a shared chocolate lava cake. My only critique would be the cake was baked a little too long and was almost baked right through. Service was great, so overall a good meal out.

    We go to the Portland Grill for special occasions. The view is always great whether during the day or at night. The food is delicious ( PS try the steelhead fish) And the service is terrific.

    Too many tables jammed in dining room. You could hardly even get out of the dining area. After we were sat at table it was 10 minutes before we were greeted, we had to ask to order dinner and for refills on drinks. Overall disappointed.

    Christmas dinner. Our waitress tried to offer great service but the bar was backed up so wine arrived after our dinner. We waited a long time for cocktails that came after we had already finished our appetizers.
