The food was amazing and so was the ambiance. I would highly recommend this place to someone looking for a scenic view and a romantic spot to have dinner. It is pricey, however it is worth every penny. When you make your reservation be sure to request a window seat.
We enjoyed very much, had a wonderful time, we loved the window seating, thanks a lot for making possible.
Food was delicious, view amazing, and Anthony was a wonderful server!
We had the fish specials and they were delicious. Was expecting to order steak but the specials sounded so good. Very nice Pinot Noir though expensive. Cheesecake was exceptional. View exquisite.
Delicious meal! Celebrating Father’s Day!
Father's Day brunch was outstanding! With several seafood options, our party was pleased. The option of also ordering a few special items from the menu is nice in order to experience special flavors. We had guests who are moving to the area, and they loved sharing a window seat in order to explore the area from above!
Father's Day. I complain in pass about area not clean food running out and price for what you get. Happy to say all was perfect in all areas. Good job and made it a special day
We were there to celebrate my daughter's graduation. We arrived about 10 minutes early but they were ready for us and sat us very shortly after we arrived. The table had been decorated with Congratulations "confetti", very thoughtful. Everything was amazing, timeliness, service, food, and celebration. They gave my daughter a special dessert with a chocolate congratulations decoration on the plate. A really great place.
College Graduation. Service, food was amazing. Outstanding wait staff. all around excellent experience!
The food and service was amazing! The only negative about the Portland City Grill would be the price. I wish it was a little more affordable.
Been here often. noticed price went up. not a big deal but my rib eye was like 50% fat. Felt I did not get what I paid for. I love Portland City Grill but expected a nicer rib-eye than what I paid for. Not sure if I would dine here again. Use to be my go to.
The service was not good, I made a reservation a few days in advance for a birthday celebration with the request for a window table. When we got there we were told it will be another maybe 45 minutes to get a window table, there was no preparation/decoration at the table we were seated at for the birthday, and I feel this ruined the occasion from the get go. The food was fine, the service was nothing special really. I'll definitely think carefully before I decide to make another reservation there.
Stellar service from Izzy, awesome views, and perfectly prepared food. We shared the Dungeness crab and prawn cocktail. Our entrees included a petite filet mignon and grilled salmon. Everything was great!
Food was delicious, but service left much to be desired. Took 90 minutes after ordering for food to come.... dirty salad plates left and waters left unrefilled. Very disappointed.
Our server Jason was incredibly rude
Had a business colleague in from Austin, Texas, another foodie spot and he was very impressed by the whole experience. Great atmosphere, great service and great food. This will become my'go to' spot for out of town guests and my own special occasions.
The food was Excellent food. Must try somoas cake and warm cookies (yummm!!!)
Exciting venue, warm and friendly waitstaff, incredible conversation-worthy views, absolutely delicious food!
Outstanding service, excellent view, wonderful table, terrific food. all you could want in a dining experience. At the top of it's game in the Portland area.
Excellent Halibut. Great View. $50 entree is pricey with or with a business account.
Service was great - kudos to Anthony. Food in general is great, and I always feel safe bringing guests here - view is awesome. Was a little disappointed with the short ribs - the sauce was great but the meat was not cooked as tender as I am used to for short ribs.
Service was impeccable- prompt, cheerful and engaging.
I have been to PCG 5 times in the last 8 months. Dinner is usually around $150 per person with (Good) Alcohol. The 4 previous visits were near perfect except it's loud and (forgive me) there are numerous people whom would have been appropriate for McDonalds they way they were dressed. Shorts, T-shirts, Yoga pants etc. Portland accept a dress code ?? but with the potential caliber or this restaurant it would be appropriate. Come after 8 to avoid the larger crowds and (those)people. Sorry .. Many restaurants in other cities have a no shorts or t-shirts rule at least.
The were a couple problems with my last visit on 6/11. There were 6 of us and I was paying the check . So I was concerned everyone had a good experience. Unfortunately, the chef with us was served scallops undercooked. Two fillets were clearly undercooked also. We both asked for a little pink with no blood. I certainly hope it wasn't the snobbery of their chef refusing to "overcook" meat. They happily took them back and were very apologetic . They came back to the table after everyone else finished their food -unfortunate -one was now overcooked and very dry; I couldn't eat it. Not sure about the other one but expect the same. For the price of the steaks, they should give you a fresh one, recooked fillets are rarely exceptable. I would have been better off eating most of my very bloody cut. I must say that the manager did come over to apologize and they would have probably taken the meal of the check but I didn't want to impact the experience of my companions by adding to the situation. I was disappointed that with the level of service that no one noticed my Chef friend didn't eat the middle of the scallops.
When you have an unsatisfactory meal at a restaurant of this caliber it greatly impacts your enjoyment of the evening and your desire to return. With that being said ... It's a great view and the food is usually among the best in the city from the appetizers to dessert.
It was our best friends 30th wedding anniversary and we have an outstanding time,Great views and great food
Uusally I walk away from here satisfied and pleased. This last trip was an exception....had the special filet and scallops and the filet just wasn't up to par. Same sentiment from another who ordered the same thing at our table. Drinks and service were exceptional though...probably just a bad night on the grill.
Amazing view, excellent service, perfect lunch hour with friends.
It was all nice but the view was outstanding, we will go back !
It was pleasant meal with a spectacular view of all Portland. The food had enormous portions, which is good if you eat large meals, but seemed too much for us. The food is basic--great steaks, fish, veggies, etc. We will return.
This place was absolutely amazing! Great staff, and the food was exemplatory. I fell happy and full was a little spendy but well worth all the money.
Not a very good experience and I don’t foresee returning.
Staff was very attentive. They anticipated our needs. Even though they were busy, they were very efficient and looked after us well.
For my wife’s birthday, which I mentioned in the reservation. The table had some Happy Birthday decor - nice touch! Everything was outstanding. Have been to PCG many, many times. It’s why we keep coming back for small or large events. Always great
There to celebrate sister's birthday. Service was friendly and timely, but not pushy. Food was yummy, view was great. The warm cookies and ice cream were a great finish!
Great Portlad city view, not as noise with large seating. Would recommend server be more attentive.
Nice dining experience.
My aunt and her friends were visiting from Wyoming. Service was great(we got a window seat)! We will recommend Portland City Grill to all our friends. Thank you Autumn for the great experience.
Great food and great attention to detail. We sort of expected it to be super-touristy, but it seemed like almost everyone was there to celebrate an occasion. We liked it so much we went back for a second night. Lots of families at early seatings; loud bar scene at later seatings.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience! Great views, entree choices, and service with good attention to detail.
I made a reservation for our first wedding anniversary and the staff surprised us with a light decoration of our table. The staff is very nice and we felt welcomed. Will definitely go back there.
