Food was just OK. The view is 2nd to none! It may have just been my dish, so I'd absolutely give it a second try.
Great place for lunch.
Very good-shared the lobster as an entree, awesome
It was fantastic!
Great overall brunch buffet experience. A lot of good options.
Our service was wonderful and it was a perfect day for a beautiful view! Brunch was very delicious and had something for everyone. Although smoked oysters were available, they didn’t have any on the half shell which my husband loves. Spicy Bloody Marys were tasty! The bottomless mimosas were a bit overpriced, but others seemed to enjoy them. We were celebrating my husbands birthday and it was certainly well worth it! Nice place for a special occasion!
The atmosphere was amazing. Gorgeous city views from the entire restaurant. We sat in the bar area to start off with and there is a piano player in very lively atmosphere. The restaurant itself was much more subdued elegance and again amazing views. The food was very good but very rich and decadent. We had a Gorgonzola salad that was out of this world and a curry soup that again was outstanding. We ordered the braised short ribs and pialla. Both were around $50. Short ribs were a great portion and very good but very sweet so not to my taste. The green beans and mashed potatoes that were with the ribs were delicious. The pialla was very good but the muscles to me were very plump and I did not feel were cooked all the way through as I think my taste is a little more firmer seafood. I believe that’s probably just a personal preference. The taste was good but not outstanding but it was overall a very good dish. The wait staff was excellent very accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Birthday. We enjoyed our service, food, and evening view.
We’ve been going to PCG for many many years, always enjoyed it, the food, service always good! But, I don’t know if there’s new management or chiefs, but it was very very disappointing, steak was dried out, (which I’ll never send back, who knows what they do) and service was very slow, had to remind her what was ordered and I was literally done with my dinner and she finally brought my drink! It’s was just disappointing!! Paying that kind of money, it should be amazing all the way around!!! Period!!
Wonderful waiter and good appetizers - especially the calamari. But the ribeyes were surprisingly tough.
The food was excellent, and Cassandra our waitress was great. But the Ladies Restroom was really dirty with paper towels on the floor
It was louder than I would’ve liked for a special evening out
Pork chop was over smoked and cooked rare.
Nice service, just not impressed with the food options, and not impressed with what we chose. Seemed extremely overpriced for what we got. Not sure we’d go again.
Great place for client meetings, dinner, lunch - you name it.
Our waitress was fantastic. I wish I remembered her name but she was awesome! =) I have only been to your restaurant three times. The first time I was not impressed with the fact that I was not greeted for probably almost 10 minutes because I didn't have a reservation. We kept getting passed by. The food and service was good after we were finally seated. The other two times were wonderful and no complaints =)
The experience never disappoints. A great place for first time visitors to Portland.
It was my husband’s birthday and we got a table with a lovely view. Drinks were great, service was outstanding; food was ok. The soup was delicious but the halibut was dry snd tasteless. Food was disappointing considering the price.
Our food was amazing and comforting. The wine we had ordered was from France and was very good as well. The only thing I will say is our waiter was more into making sure my fiancé was taken care of and his meal was to his satisfaction and did not care to ask about both our meals. He also did not pour my wine for tasting. He confidently poured my fiancé’s and asked him how did it taste and did not ask me the same. Other than the waiter being a bit sexist, the place is great for dining or a date night.
This was the first time I’ve given a lower rating as all other visits have been exceptional!
The reason for my lower rating is because the waiter always seemed in a hurry to leave our table when at our table for whatever reason. Additionally I asked for a steak that was medium and it came back pretty close to rare. They took the entire plate back and then brought back the same plate/same food, only for it to still be undercooked.
They did discount the bill as a result which was unexpected and appreciated though. Just wasn’t the dining experience we are use to there.
Great food, service and ambience with a wonderful view
I was very satisfied with the service and food. But a little bummed that I heard them sing to other customers for their birthday’s. But when I got there and the hostess asked if we were celebrating anything, I told her yes. So I was assuming they would sing. But they did bring him a dessert with a candle.
Very disappointed with the service. Asked for more bread and it was brought to us after we got our entree’s. Took our food home and two dishes were put in one box!! Very hard to take my food home when it was mixed with the other persons and we don’t live together. Very disappointing dinner.
Excellent restaurant! Great views, good food, and good drinks! Great for a special occasion!
The atmosphere was awesome. The steak came out overdone but the staff corrected it, and it was probably one of the best steaks I’ve had.
Great experience every time. Thank you !
A great place for a special occasion. They provided little special touches for our Anniversary
Excellent quality of ingredients and preparation.
My husbands halibut was very good, not overcooked, the sides good. 50$
My flatiron was as ordered - medium rare - the things it was served on, not so good. I found lots of mustard seeds at least two tablespoons, a few corn kernels and lots of black burned small potatoes - flattened. At first I thought these are mushrooms... Couldn’t eat them. 49$
You pay for the ambiance, the price tag for the food was hefty and the quality didn’t live up to the price.
Our server was not in a good mood. I would recommend the place any time, I am sure there are a lot of things on the menu that are very good.
Best waiter ever. Great food. Spectacular views. Made reservation same day on open table app. Super easy to use (my first time) they sent a clear confirmation which reassured me. There was a comment box, I commented it was my friends birthday and could we please have a window seat. We not only got a window seat but the best window seat as we could see out both sides of the building and the bday confetti on the table was a small but very thoughtful touch my friend loved. Thanks for making her 60th birthday night wonderful.
Food was excellent. The service at the bar was horrific. Bartender was pretty rude and awful the whole time.
Unfortunately we chose this venue for our anniversary dinner on a Saturday night. We were seated next to the kitchen then were moved merely one table away from the kitchen when we complained, even though there were other tables available. Wait staff was marginal. Noise was unbearable. We spent $200+tips in the bar and dining room and really feel that we wish that we had gone elsewhere. The two stellar comments that we do want make are (1) that the bar mixologist probably deserves a raise, he was so good and (2) that the food was absolutely exceptional. In conclusion, we would recommend to others that they NEVER go to this restaurant on a Saturday.
Top Notch service. We went there for our wedding dinner. They decorated the table with hearts and the waiter was kind enough to take lots of pictures of our special event. The food was outstanding and the views were fantastic. Money well spent.
You're definitely paying for the view. The food was underwhelming, but the view makes up for what the restaurant lacks.
Another fabulous Birthday Dinner. Smoked Pork Chop was delicious, and the steaks wonderful!, Great appetizer and wonderful Lemon Drop.
Delicious meal would go there again. Quite expensive if you aren’t ready so get those checkbooks ready but you are for sure in for a good fulfilling meal
the food was heavy on the sauce especially the pork tenderloin.
the beet salad was good as was the pork chop
Great experience for a business lunch this week. The cioppono and tofu with vegetables we're exceptionally good!
I had high expectations for this place, and it definitely lived up to them. Amazing service and delicious food!!!
