Absolutely amazing food, service. So good we are going back again the next day
We arrived before our reservation time and managed to find seats in the bar area while we waited, but never got served! It was busy, but three separate waitresses walked past us without acknowledging us.
Once we were officially seated, service - and the food - was excellent! Astounding views and amazing cocktails also.
Fabulous dinner with our out of town kids...they loved the steaks, I loved the Blue Iceberg salad as my entree. Had a slight view from our elevated booth. Server was fabulous!
This was a wonderful experience! Always fantastic service and excellent food and drinks! I trust this place for our special celebrations. Thank you!
Beautiful view of the city, excellent food and service
Great ambience and cant beat the view. Fine dining so be prepared to at least spend $100 for two people and that's on the low end. Best wague steak ever
The food is so good and the view is magnificent ! Totally worth going back
They always go the extra mile, to make sure you are satisfied.
Richard and Claudio were superb
Service good. Meal great. Views amazing.
We were there early evening ... noise level ok
We had a late lunch as we were driving from Seattle to Salem Oregon. There were only a few other people in the restaurant. Our waitress was very nice and I ordered the special and my husband ordered the crab BLT. The food arrived hot and on time. The staff was busy talking in the kitchen, and barely checked on this after they delivered our mail. We finished and waited about five minutes for someone to bring a check tried to kiss her eyes and even ask across the room for them to come help us. Evidently they couldn’t hear is no one came over. I mentioned in my has been went to the kitchen and have someone going with our bill. I think this was mostly due to the fact that they were not busy. The restaurant is beautiful, the underground parking was a real plus, and the view is outstanding. I will give this restaurant another try.
PCG has best views & great food. Spendy but staff are super nice.
Great service - thank you
This was my first negative experience with PCG. The food was fair at best and the service just okay. The most disappointing was Wagu NY steak special. I should have asked what the market price as the 6 oz NY Steak was $80. I ordered it medium rare and it came medium to medium well. The server never came back to check if the steak prepared correctly. I would have made a point to get the server's attention and send it back if I was aware the 6 oz steak was costing me $80.
over the top food, cant wait to go back. the Filet was a 10/10.
We made a reservation for 4:30 pm and requested a window table based on a yelp tip review. The views were amazing. We parked in the underground parking lot of the building and our parking was validated by the restaurant. Our server was Ellie and she was very attentive and made our dining experience wonderful. I was visiting from San Francisco. My brother enjoyed the high quality and well made cocktails, we shared an appetizer, he had the lamb and I had a steak dinner. Both were great. We shared a dessert recommended by our server, which we fully enjoyed. Will definitely be back.
always excellent food and service went their for a birthday celebration
Dinner at The Portland Grill made the 4th of July very special. Bar was cozy with great cocktails and views; dining room offered delicious, creative, healthy dinner options amidst spectacular views of downtown and fireworks. Highly recommend this Portland classic.
Food was amazing! Our waiter was very attentive and paid attention to the details of our meal. He wanted to make sure everything was perfect! We had a window seat which overlooked the river which was beautiful. I would highly recommend Portland City Grill to anyone looking for a great experience.
Amazing food, service, and view. Perfect for anniversary dinner or a special occasion.
Izzy was fabulous!!! Food amazing. Well worth the special trip.
Disappointing evening. Food tasted like mass produced hotel meal. I personally had a $50 halibut which was overlooked and dry.
Our service at Portland city grill was utterly disappointing. The food was very good, however, that did not make up for the fact that our waitress gave us zero attention after our food was brought to the table. We easily waited 30-40 minutes for service after we were finished eating. I was shocked to receive the service we did, and would expect better out of the management of Portland City Grill. I don't see myself returning or recommending Portland City Grill to anyone. Again, the food was delicious, but at that cost and the terrible service, I'd much rather take my business elsewhere.
Food was very average and not a good value for the price. My steak was over cooked and the dessert like store bought. Service was excellent.
We had a great time the table was prepared for us when we arrived and the ambiance is terrific. A time we will all fondly remember for years
Portland City Grill is really getting dated. There is a "smell" of age as you walk in as well as when you're eating. Definitely time for a remodel.
I had the Cioppino which was so-so. The beet salad was drenched in dressing so ate only a bit.
Appeared to be not enough servers which makes it tough if you only have an hour for lunch.
A good makeover of the venue and menu would be recommended.
An outstanding experience !
Impressive and professional service, excellent food.
Thank you !!
Great view of the city, excellent food, great service
The views are amazing!
The salmon was initially ver undercooked, but they re-cooked the order for us and made everything right. Can’t beat the views!
Terrific views. Salad had brown lettuce. Rest of meal was ok but nothing special.
This was a first experience for my kids (ages 14 and 18). I asked for a window seat and they gladly provided this. The staff was very accomodating.
Our server, Jeff, was awesome and we had a lot of fun, thanks to him.
He added to the great experience we usually have at PCG and our out-of-town guests were so impressed with his service.
Thank you Jeff and PCG!!
Amazing drinks, food and service Packaged with an amazing view! High recommend !
The service was outstanding, the food was good, kind of price but I thought the size and flavor was worth it. Great views of the city, window table it's a long wait but worth it.
Excellent service and food. Definitely a prime spot for a date!
Great service as always. Food was good not great. I think a busier evening shift, while not compromising on service, perhaps put the kitchen on more of a rush than usual. Had a lovely evening and enjoyed the atmosphere, although a little louder than usual. Strong recommendation for those visiting Portland.
Vacation date night. Can’t beat that view.
Great view, great service. Food was very good but not great. Seared Halibut was fantastic.
