So, I am writing this with some hesitation as we love PCG. We have been waiting for them to reopen. We went there four days after they reopened so I do understand things are rough. However, I have never been so fully disappointed with PCG. I probably wont be back. The service was HORRIBLE !. The Wagyu steak... tough, not worth the money they charged us. There were four in our party. A celebration for High School senior graduation and a college graduate. 424.00 dollars later and I felt like that was the biggest waste of money. It took us over 2 hours to finally get our bill.

They need to hire some more folks if they want to charge for upscale services and food.

Just my 2 cents. Hopefully they fix the problems.

Amazing! Booked reservations for first day since COVID-19 closure and everything was amazing. From the views on the 30th floor to our dinner.

We went in on the first day back for Phase One. Our server was great, the view was phenomenal and the food is always fantastic. Give everyone a break, we're all getting used to the new requirements!

For a $150 ticket I would expect more. The margarita I ordered wasn’t great. My girlfriend got another drink twice. It tasted drastically different both times. The $60 steak was cooked to well done and you could hardly cut through it. I’ve been here before and it’s usually good. This was day 1 of reopening after COVID so maybe they are a bit rusty.

Entertained 7 graduating college basketball players. Wanted very special experience for them. It exceeded all expectations. Service was fantastic and very attentive. Food absolutely perfect. Great evening.

We have been to PCG many times for dinner. I actually tell people it’s my favorite restaurant. Unfortunately I will no be back after this experience. I’m not sure if it’s because they were bought out or what but we were super disappointed. Made a reservation for my 50th birthday with 5 other people. They put us at a small table with 5 seats. We asked to be moved. There was not anything special on the table... no card... no confetti like before... my steak was overcooked and we were treated like second class citizens. My boyfriend decided to propose that night in the restaurant and not one waitstaff said a peep. We were ignored. So disappointed. We would have ordered more food and drinks but our waitress was too busy to return. So, my 50th birthday and engagement was ruined buy a very disappointing night. Bummer.

As usual, the views are the best of any restaurant in Portland, but the service, while exceptionally polite, was slow getting food to the table. In the end, I had to take my dinner to go.

Fish and chips (instead of fries I ordered a salad). The fish was so thin it was dried out when fried. It was really quite horrible. Salad was great.

Server a little obnoxious.

The food was amazing and the service was superb!

First, the view and ambiance were perfect! Definitely a must for a romantic evening, or in our case first time visitors to the city. The food and service were wonderful. We will be back for another meal during our next trip. A must for anyone in the city for dinner!

Waiter did not check to see if we were ok, took long to bring the check and to take payment.Not a lot of dinner options. Prizes are too high for this food.

Wonderful food! I was a little disappointed I did not follow the tips to request a window seat. The food and drinks were both superb, even at the higher price.

I have been to this restaurant on 3 different occasions. I suggest always making a reservation. The food is always yummy, they have a huge selection of drinks, and the service has always been outstanding. We will continue to frequent it as we always have a blast!

Come for the view, not the food, which is acceptable, but no better than that. The views of the Willamette River and the city of Portland by day or night are spectacular. The food is unexceptional. I had to literally chase down a server to get a glass of wine that my companion had ordered. The decor featuring heavy looking wooden faux beams is incongruous with the sleek, modern office building occupied by this 30th floor restaurant. The bar/lounge might be a better bet. There's a piano player there. It's a date night and tourist sort of place, worth the occasional visit just because of the location. Free validated parking inside the same building is another plus.

Everything was fantastic! We enjoyed a delicious appetizer and had an excellent meal. One of our favorite spots to relax with a good meal!

Excellent vegetarian options of beet salad, roasted mushrooms, and crispy Brussels sprouts (hold the bacon), for a reasonable price, served quickly and delightfully by Ellie, split by two friends going to a concert at the Roseland! Beautiful view from tasteful surroundings. Perfect evening!

Nice enough in most regards but the steak (a NY Strip for $55) was pretty ordinary. Flavor Ok and texture OK but at a restaurant of this price and notoriety I expect the steak to be wow.

The food at City Grill is expensive but the view of Portland is expansive. The food is delish and it is a great place to go for special occasions. It was our anniversary.

Been several times mostly for the view. Paid $55 for wagyu sirloin that was more like a filet cut. Not as tender as expected. Wife had marinated spare ribs that were also in unusual style but nice flavor. Beans sides were overcooked. Finally really would enjoy the experience more if the lights were not so subdued. Very dark. Can’t read menu.

Awesome food. Staff accommodated family with picky eater by making a cheeseburger off the lunch menu for one kid at dinner. The other kids and grown ups enjoyed something for less pedestrian pallette from the dinner menu. Great experience

Quality has gone down by a lot since they were bought out during the Bankruptcy. I rather buy a steak at Outback Steakhouse. Waitress didn't even mention any specials.
Loved this place....not anymore.

Extremely overpriced for the quality of food. Service was sporadic and slow. Had to ask several times for a coffee warm-up. "Country potatoes" appeared to be from a frozen packaged variety like Oreida. Food from the kitchen was excellent (this was a Sunday brunch where they offered a menu from the kitchen as well as a buffet). Views from window tables was great.

We dined at the Portland city Grill for a double birthday celebration on Sunday, March 1.
The view of the city is lovely, and the food is very good if you like rich heavy food. Service was good but not outstanding. I noticed when we sat down that the prices on the menu were $10 higher For brunch than they had been on the OpenTable menu ($49 as opposed to $39). Additionally,the unlimited Mimosa prices were higher than they were on the OpenTable menu. ($13 versus $10)This brought the head price up $13 or for a total of $78, Not chump change.
We brought this up to our waitress when we got the bill, and she said this was the first she had heard of it… She said she would bring it up with the manager. However, when she brought back the credit card statement nothing had changed. Not wanting to make a scene we chose to call the restaurant directly the following day.
On Monday I spoke with the manager Jared, who would not budge on anything saying that basically I was a liar (I should’ve taken a screenshot of the menu on OpenTable, but alas I did not) Jared also told me that basically I should have left when I found out the difference in the prices, and that by choosing to stay, we ok’d the price differential. He also mentioned that he had been there 2 1/2 years and there has been no price changes. To which I replied, “that may be true but somebody forgot to tell OpenTable.” He stated that he had not been there the day before but the general manager had been on duty. I believe the waitress told the general manager because As I was talking with Jared I checked the OpenTable prices and they had been changed on Monday to reflect the menu prices. Again I am kicking myself for not having taken a screenshot. I do not feel that Jared even tried to resolve this issue and clearly he has never heard of Marshall Field who stated that “the customer is always right”
I do not recommend Portland city Grill due to their customer service.

Abbey was the waitress & she was amazing, attentive, caring, considerate, & made sure my table didn't need for ANYTHING she's amazing need MORE waitresses like her....🤗☺ & she will be my request when coming to the Portland City Grill!!! EVERYONE in my party adored Abbey....😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

The flavor on my steak wasn't incredible (not bad or non existent but nothing special) but the cook was excellent. For sure the best sushi roll I've ever eaten. Plates we beautiful. Excellent service.
