They really made our special day memorable by decorating our table and putting a candle in our dessert afterwards. We could tell preparation went into the reservation before we arrived.
The listing marks this restaurant as $$, but the prices on the menu were definitely $$. Cheapest steak was $52. We all had appetizers.
Absolutely loved everything about this restaurant. Our waitress was amazing and everything we ordered was so good. Both of us said it was one of the best meals we have ever had. Absolutely will be back!
Unpreposessing entry. Mediocre greeting. Food was fine, but we had to leave without finishing our entrees. We were seated at 4:15, which should have been plenty of time for a 6:30 curtain. Not. Service was inattentive and slow. Again, food was fine.
The view alone was worth it! The food was delicious however, there was a really long line for the omelets so I was unable to get one. But you can waffles, benedict and more from the kitchen.
The $13 bottomless mimosas can’t be beat and the dessert bar was amazing.
Our server, I wish I remembered his name, was outstanding! Very friendly and accommodating and had a great smile. I hope we get him again. :)
Be sure to ask for a window seat, you won’t regret it.
They were out of quite a few menu options. My steak, the waygu, was surprisingly tough. My girlfriend ordered the rib eye. That was out of this world amazing! I wish I would have gotten that. Our server was amazing and very attentive. The view was amazing. We’d go back in a heart beat. I’d stay far away from the waygu!
The food is always great, but stay away from the two tables near the kitchen. It’s noisy, people bumping into you constantly, just a bad experience. Fourth time here, first negative experience.
The view at night from the dining room on a clear night can't be beat. Of course, everyone wants to sit next to the window, but I assure you, you'll see the night lights from just about anywhere. There are steak, seafood AND vegetarian options available - all which are excellent quality. This is a bit pricey, but definitely worth it for a special occasion when you want to enjoy a fantastic meal, great service and a beautiful view.
My ex and I from 17 years ago reunited and had dinner here. I made reservations and requested a window seat. They saved us a window seat and the view was gorgeous! Very memorable! :)
We had a wonderful experience at portland city grill this evening. As parents of young kids, we rarely get to go on date nights. It was nice to have a relax evening with great service and wonderful food!
The view is fantastic. The food was really good. Our waiter was very attentive and keep our water glasses and soda glasses full. The noise from the bar made it hard to have a conversation at our table but all and all this was a great experience.
Excellence in how they took care of us - despite being a few minutes late for our reservation. Memorable experience!
Spent my birthday here as I have been for the past 6 years and as always service was great and food was amazing
I love some top notch dinning and this place was amazing. The crab cakes were divine. I would totally recommend this place to everyone.
Our first time at this restaurant—and it will be our last! My wife and I both ordered our steaks medium based on the server’s description, and both were under cooked. The chef did come to our table and apologize, which I give credit—however, re-cooking the same meat and putting the sides underneath a warmer, resulted in one of the worst steaks I’ve ever had! One of the managers also stopped by to apologize, but it seemed less than genuine and sincere. We were offered “desert on the house”—really! I would not recommend this restaurant. There are plenty of better restaurants in Portland. If you want a great steak, I would recommend Urban Farmer.
As usual. Fantastic food combined with great service.
First time Portland visitors, this restaurant was a recommendation. Extremely glad we got to try this out because the food, drinks, and views here are amazing. If you're traveling to Portland, Portland Bar & Grill on the 30th floor is a must.
Excellent food. Very pricey, but great for a special occasion. Staff was friendly and the view was worth the price of food.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs.
Simply a wonderful all around experience. It was my mother's 70th birthday and they made sure we had a window seat that was decorated for the occasion.
The service was extremely slow for a mostly empty restaurant.
Anniversary dinner was extra special with this PCG’s consistent friendly service, great food and wonderful ambiance. Thank you
4 men for dinner. good selection of beer and wine, everything on the menu looked great. I had a filet and grilled jumbo prawns. All excellent and will return.
Service was gear too.
Great service and birthday celebration with server Anthony.
Beginning to end, our dining experience FAR exceeded
My expectations! Thank you for a wonderful evening!
I love this place. I visit every time I come to Portland. Best view of the city by far. Great food and great service every time. Took a first time guest with me and was throughly impressed. Recommend this place to anyone who wants a great meal and ambiance.
This experience was well worth the drive. Incredible views, incredible service, and incredible food.
Outstanding views. Amazing food. I was visiting Portland for the weekend and this place came highly recommended. It was totally worth it. I will go there the next time I am there.
Had brunch here last Sunday, was good but not as much as the times we've been there before. There were a couple of substitutions on the buffet that our server informed us of which seemed like cheap alternatives to what they replaced (i.e. instead of steelhead they had corned beef hash, and replacing parmesan crusted chicken were chicken drumsticks.) Still a tasty brunch, and the different flavor mimosas helped ease the pain (although at $13 for unlimited mimosas it seems a bit steep.)
Excellent Our waiter Anthony was just incredible! We hope to go again!
Food was good, service was GREAT! Our waitress Grey was an absolute delight! Made our evening!
My husband and I recently took a trip to Portland as a mini getaway and to celebrate our anniversary. Open table inquired as to whether or not we were celebrating a special occasion. Since we were, I noted it on our reservation, and they decorated our table.
During our meal our server was attentive and welcoming. We even engaged in some good conversation with him at the end of our meal.
I would go back again.
Great spot for seeing the city at night! The staff was friendly and engaging.
We had our engagement dinner here 6 1/2 years ago and the food was fabulous, and the atmosphere was high end and fancy, worthy of a celebration like that. We came last night for our 5th anniversary and the food was good; not great, just good, so we felt that it was overpriced and not really worth it. So many people were dressed casually (jeans and tees) that my wife and I (her in a nice dress and me in a suit) felt out of place and awkward. Disappointing, to say the least, given what this restaurant used to be.
Always a great place to take customers from out of town.
Definitely has a great view but the food choices and taste is not so great
A very upscale restaurant with an amazing food and an amazing view. It had a quiet vibe in the regular dining area, while the bar was more loud.
Great food and drinks in a beautiful setting with an amazing view of Portland. Get a window seat if you can...they’re worth waiting for.
A nice place, lovely view of Portland at night
Very good services and food
One of my prefered restaurants in Portland
