Highly disappointing evening. I made reservations for my husband and I for dinner and music. Well the rose on the table was wilted, my waiter had the personality of a puppet. The Jazz music never happened for the entire 2 hours we were there. I was offered $10 off my meal and a glass of wine. Well I don't drink and it was very disappointing evening. The best part was i was with my husband. Will not recommend this place.
I didn't realize the meal was a fixed menu for $60.00 per person, which would have been fine if it was worth it. Salad with goat cheese was a disappointment. There was a small, maybe 1 to 2 inches, log of goat cheese on the salad. Filet was mediocre at best and lobster was two small langostino's. The creme brûlée was horrific. I think the berries sat on the creme brûlée too long and it curdled the creme brûlée. Service was excellent but to be fair, only 4 tables were occupied.
Did dine on happy-hour menu, small plates. The food was good especially for a hotel restaurant. the service
is outstanding. I was staying at the hotel and the choice was obvious since was a rainy day. did not try dinner menu. The food appeared to be well prepared and tasteful.
HAD A GREAT TIME! Wonderful service, wonderful music- great atmosphere!
Nice Christmas brunch. Not a huge crowded restaurant. Food selection was excellent.
Food was good. Not great. Standard Holiday fare. Buffet was small but adequate. Service was good and friendly.
Good for breakfast if in the Perimeter Mall area. Nicer than a typical hotel breakfast
Great food and atmosphere. Will keep coming back.
Horrible, made reservation at 5:30pm, nothing was there??!!!
My partner and I made reservations at this restaurant as we were vacationing at the Le Meridien hotel. As we approached the restaurant, we were told I'm sorry your reservations will be canceled due to a party we had, so please sit in the bar and order from there. Never again!
Brunch was really good. Restaurant was empty again at 2:15. Food was good.
Great food! I had salmon. Cooked perfectly. Wife had roasted chicken. Very flavorful with nice presentation. Great customer service. Free parking on Saturday. Surprised they were empty. Really good happy hour drinks. Use top shelf.
A well designed and elegant room with easy parking. The host was welcoming and friendly and the service over all was very good. The food really exceeded expectations. From salad and soup (which was outstanding) to main fish course, quality and attention to detail was evident. The specialty drink I had was OK but everything else more than made up for it.
Mediocre, overpriced brunch. Worse service. Had to flag down a server to get more water. Really would like my hard-earned money back.
The food was good but not sure if it was worth $55. Especially if there is a large family coming. Maybe some more kid friendly items. Chicken is always good.
Yes, I would highly recommend Portico, it is quite pricy but definitely well worth it.
Their wine selection is great, their seafood tastes very fresh.
Great for a ate night and to get to know your company more, they have live Jazz band every other Friday and jazz band during brunch on Sundays.
The Food was very delectable and the Music was very Relaxing!
Avoid this place. The host answering the phone hung up on us when we asked about parking because the only parking lot was $14 just for lunch.
Ambiance and service were excellent. Unfortunately, the food has changed significantly since our last visit....much too spicy!
The menu was creative and the food was good, but my salmon was heavily salted. Everyone was satisfied with their meal for the most part, but I believe the restaurant owner would be better off with more of a pub like menu in that hotel than a fine dining restaurant...just a suggestion.
Not up to expectations
Anniversary dinner on a Sunday evening. There from opening at 5:30p - 7:30p and not one other diner came into dine- odd. We we by ourselves the entire time there.
Service was excellent and food was good.
We ate at the hotel after a full day of travel to Atlanta. Basically no one in the restaurant yet the service was incredibly slow... from the time I walked in to be seated for my reservations until asking for the check. The ambiance was sterile. The food was average and ordinary. A huge disappointment after I had read the reviews that this place was amazing. Very disappointed and next time I stay there, I won’t be dining there. (And breakfast is average and over priced. There service is better, though, for breakfast.)
Had a wonderful time at Portico during lunch. Fresh, quick meal and great cocktails. Service was outstanding.
A really good meal, service very attentive. Will return.
I have enjoyed this restaurant in the past but this time the dinning room was closed and there was no notice from the restaurant. I had scheduled a business breakfast and we had to sit in the lobby bar to ear and conduct business. Not very professional. A notice should have been sent informing me that the dining room was closed.
Really love the menu and service. It's a shame that it is always empty. Must be because it is in a hotel.
Offered one of 3 middle tables in half empty restaurant. Told window tables of same size not available. They were never occupied during our long meal. Took over an hour to get pretty, but poor quality and expensive salad. “Roasted” veggies on $42 entree were still chilled. Entree lukewarm at best. They brought me a “new” one within minutes. Not possible. Had to be microwaved. No thanks. Shared hubby’s salmon (which was actually good). Paid check. Won’t be back. We’re not the only dissatisfied diners tonight. Food was good 2 years ago during restaurant week. Had looked forward to meal tonight. Bad and limited menu. Poor service for expensive restaurant. Should have gone to Capital Grille or Seasons 52
It was our first time dining here and when we arrived we were very optimistic. We had a reservation and were seated promptly and the ambience was very romantic (Valentine's Day)! That turned out to be the highlight of the evening. Our food was actually quite good but the service was horrible. The restaurant was not crowded so I still struggle to understand how every aspect of our dining experience was slow. From the amount of time it took for our server to engage us, to the amount of time it took our food to arrive, to the fact that everything we requested from our server was either ignored or forgotten. Again, prompt seating, great ambience, food was good, service awful!
We typically do not dine in hotel restaurants but were very pleasantly surprised to find this gem. The food and service were both fantastic. The menu was creative and there were many items to choose from... all sounding delicious. It wasn't very busy and we are hoping it was because it was Christmas night. This restaurant rivals any of the top trendy restaurants in Atlanta. We will definitely dine here again and again!
Cobb Salad was delish! Chris, server, was great! Nice atmosphere!
Really disappointed of this restaurant. This is my 3rd negative review in more than 10 years using opentable. The rib rolls were greasy, the mushroom soup was cold and the pork chop overcook and cold as well. Very bad experience, do not recommend it at all
We went to celebrate a birthday. The service was great and the food amazing.
Great place to go for lunch because it was not busy! They said they are busy in the morning and evening since the restaurant is in a hotel.
This was a weird dining experience. We arrived a little early for a 7pm reservation this past Saturday. The restaurant was completely empty and quiet . We couldn't find anyone in the restaurant, diners or staff. Went to the front desk to ask since we weren't sure if it was even open, although I did get an email the day before confirming our reservation. By then the host appeared and seated us. From then on, the service was good, the presentation of the food was beautiful and the quality of the food good. Towards the middle of our meal, we noticed a few people coming by and peeking in and then walking away because they didn't see anyone to greet or seat them. The host/hostess station is not visible from the outside so you can't see anyone as you come in from the entrance. I think if there was a host/hostess station it would help. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I'd recommend this restaurant because of this.
We did not know about this restaurant until we saw it featured for Dunwoody Restaurant Week, so we gave it a try. The food was beautifully prepared and presented. The meal was outstanding. Started with the jumbo shrimp appetizer which we probably would not have paid the money for, but it was very reasonable due to the special. This was followed by a wonderful vegetable tortellini with a pea puree. Gorgeous. I had the Scottish Salmon which was good, not particularly notable, and my husband had the steak which was as good as any we have ever had . You could cut with butter knife. Served over a wonderful hash. Wish I had gotten that! Ended with the creme brulee which was delicious. My husband had the cheesecake, also delicious, but rather small. The wine was a satisfactory pour, not skimpy, but not inexpensive. Overall, reasonable. I think they are priced a bit high. Ambiance is not great. Service was very good.
Particularly the chicken and the kale salad. Have used LeMeridian/Portico three times now for business functions; from catering a mock trial in the hotel; to a private marketing lunch for physicians; to a business luncheon with the PCID and hospital executive to discuss the impact of a new GDOT project, and the food has been excellent every time and the staff are very responsive.
I must admit, I tried to book for Valentine's lunch at the last minute to different venues to no avail. That being said i was surprised that we were 1 of only 2 tables book for lunch. The service was mediocre at best (The waiter tried his best but you could see that he was just not proficient). The food was really high price for the quality delivered. To quote the great Dave Ramsey, it was bland. For the $85.00 we spent for 1 appetizer and 2 entrees, I was expecting a higher level of cuisine. I would not be giving this restaurant a second chance in the future and would not recommend it either.
A $100 for 2 people and only 1 glass of wine between us. The food was ok but oversalted. I would have rather gone somewhere else. I had salmon and my husband had the pork. It was quiet because we were the only 2 people on the restaurant on a Saturday night. That should have clued me in but we were already there and hungry. The service was very good and servers were very nice but, then again, we were the only ones there. It would have been a cool place with a few more people.
