Terrible service! Waiter shattered glass all over us-clothes, shoes, etc. He did nothing to rectify the situation. A decent restaurant makes up for ruining your anniversary dinner. This restaurant is not worth your time or money. Food is over seasoned and over priced. We were really disappointed.

Our meals were excellent - every item was cooked to perfection. The service was friendly, but slow and disorganized — the biggest annoyance was that dishes weren’t cleared in s timely manner. In fact, there were so many dirty dishes on the table next to us that when they tried to make room for dessert on the table some dishes fell off onto the floor and broke. A little more attention to detail on service would have made this a 5 star experience all the way around.

OK Restaurant. Nothing special. Better options in Downtown Chattanooga for sure. Service was slow, food was just OK (My . For a "Steak House" it had very limited selection of cuts for meat. I had heard good things about this place and been looking forward to going. While it was a good restaurant, I was ultimately disappointed with the experience.

Wonderful steak. I am looking to our next special occasion to dine there again.

The food was very good, but the manager is slipping up as they were out of at least two items: Beef Wellington and Asparagus. When you're out of something, go to the grocery and buy more!

Great food in a local landmark. Old-school fine dining. Nothing terribly inventive, but consistently reliable. Closing Oct 1 for a complete remodel (along with the hotel.). Looking forward to what comes next.

I am sure at one point this restaurant was great, seen it's better days. We left without eating. Dirty/stained table cloth, dirty/stained napkins and dirty presentation plates upon being seated. Made it difficult to stay and expect the food would be worth the price.
Someone needs to begin paying attention to details and cleaning the place up, too many better choices in the Chattanooga market.
Went to Rodizio Grill and spent less money and a wonderful dining experience.

Awesome food, have never had a better steak in my life. The calamari and burgundy mushrooms were fantastic as well. Great server. Definitely worth the money for a special occasion.

Overpriced and under delivered. What a disappointing experience. Do not waste your money or time with Porter's.

A elegantly special restaurant with excellent food. The servers are well trained to take care of their customers. We were celebrating my husbands 61st Birthday and it was a lovely evening.

Everything was perfect! Great choice for our Mother's Day lunch.

Our waiter was fantastic but the food was mediocre at best. The steak marinated in peppercorns was overpowering in pepper. The flavor of the meat was lost in the marinate. We ordered a martini off the menu and they did not have the ingredients to make it. Would not recommend.

Wait staff lackadaisical and uninformed about menu items. Another patron paced through the dining room ranting in a loud voice on his cell phone and then conducted a conference call standing behind our table. Management did not address. Service was unprofessional for this type of establishment. Will not return.

Was all around a great experience. The food was great.

The food was delicious! I ordered the Ribeye with Spinach and Mushrooms. My wife ordered Salmon with Asparagus and Spinach. Both meals were cooked to perfection.

The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. It was a nice restaurant but felt somewhat casual as well. You could wear anything from shorts and a collared shirt to a full suit.

The host was very welcoming and the waitress was very friendly and helpful! I look forward to visiting Porter's again soon!

Had dinner before a concert. Chicken Marsala was delicious. Service was prompt and excellent.
No difficulty getting to concert on time!

Steaks were cooked perfectly. Everything was delicious. The waiter and chef were knowledgable and accommodating regarding my food allergies.

This is a traditional steak house with great steaks. Some seafood and an amazing chicken Marsala. Great large sharing sides, good salads, quiet refined atmosphere. Even my pescetarian daughter enjoyed it. I think they accidentally switched mine and my wife's cooking temperatures. Even so, my medium well lamb chops were excellent and she surprisingly enjoyed her medium NY Strip.

They completely ruined our order. Then took mine away as I sat and watched my wife eat hers. Terrible experience for a Valentine's. How do you overcook a med rare beef wellington to the point it's totally beyond well done?

Worst food ever. Actually had to spit out the vegetables. It might have been the 3 whole cloves of raw garlic. Beef Wellington was covered in stringy raw dough. Sent back and chef said it would just come out the same so order something else. The "famous" steak, much better at any chain steakhouse. Mushrooms tasted like they were done in an A1 sauce reduction. Frankly I couldn't believe any of it would even end up on a plate. $100 later, left most of the food on the plate and went out for dessert to get the taste out of my mouth.
(She Crab soup was very good however). Wow, I heard that place was haunted, it must have been the ghost doing the cooking.

my only complaint was that when I reserved a table the only time available was at
either 5:00 pm or 9:00 pm. we got there at 5:00 and left at 7:30 and the reasturant
was never fuller than 20 percent. we could not figure that one out. we would had rather
gotten a table at 6:30 but could not. there was only 6 couples in the dinning area the whole
time we were there.

Wonderful dinner date for Valentine's day for my husband and myself! Our food was great, quick, and tasted delicious. The manager was a very gracious host and treated us like we were someone special. Our service was exceptional and the staff was very kind and conversational. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I along with our son had dinner at Porters and it was fantastic. Great service. My order didn't come out right but our waiter went above and beyond to correct the mistake.

First things first, the food was absolutely exceptional. Just really great flavors, cooked to perfection, very yummy! Our reservation was perfect. We arrive a little bit early even and went right into a table. The servers were super friendly and very attentive. We had a really great evening there.

Went for lunch and we were the only table. 12:30 on a Friday during the holidays. Seemed odd, but the food was great, and it was easy to have conversation for our business lunch.

The rolls used to be better (one of the best parts of the meal) and the steak had a bit too much gristle for our taste. The "creamed" spinach wasn't very creamy.

Food - fantastic. Service - meh. No one came and checked on us after food arrived. Never saw a manager talking to guests. At that price point, I would expect more from management and staff.

My wife and I enjoyed our dinner at Porter's before going to the Tivoli theater. Service and atmosphere was great.

Service was exceptionally slow. I think this could have possibly been due to short staffing? The wait staff were very nice and personable. Food and wine was good.
