For a prime staeakhouse the quality of the steaks was poor.... wife could not even eat her fillet. Pretty sure the mushroom side was canned mushrooms with some kind of sauce. Service was great. Food moe like a Sizzler than an upscale steak house
I may have enjoyed myself More if the sir conditioning system wasn’t down.
Porter's Prime Steak House located in the Double Tree had all of the elements in place to be a great restaurant, from the dark wood room with high ceilings, beautiful lighting fixtures etc. Regrettably, it is a very substandard steak house. The first issue is with the extremely loud disco type music coupled with very lit up room. Usually at dinner the lighting reflects a mellow dinning experience. The maitre d' was dressed very unprofessionally. The dinning room was hot and the wait staff was very low end as far as experience. The waiter told me the corkage fee was $15, but I was billed $20. After breaking the cork in half, from the bottle I had brought, he quickly put the pieces in his pocket and left after nearly knocking off the silverware from the table. I didn't even get to inspect the cork. The water that was served was room temp with no ice. You had to ask for ice every so often if you wanted to keep your water chilled. The food was actually very good in general. The crab cakes, which were excellent, were supposed to have a lemon aioli but instead was accompanied by creamy bleu cheese. The calamari was also good, but when asked for some ranch dressing, we were told they ran our of it, but they would make some more in a few minutes. Never saw the ranch or follow up with waiter. The flavorful steaks were a bit over cooked, one had to be sent back and then came back under cooked. The prices were comparable of a high end classy steak house, but was again unfortunately a low class steakhouse. I would choose another steakhouse when in the area.
Noisy good food
They were understaffed and out of many items. Clearly underprepared for reopening after Covid-19. The staff was great and the meal good. But they need to get better prepared.
Great food and service!
Meat was horrible and undercooked. When I sent it back, they refunded me an appetizer, not the steak. Not sure I understand that. Club next door was loud.
Restaurant at first said they had no no sparkling wine. After pushing them to check with bar, we got Korbel splits. Piped music was horrendously loud. Seriously, people there for social interaction do NOT need to be drowned out by bad music. Get rid of it. Bread was clearly microwaved. Very tough. That said, entrees of filet and scampi and Chilean sea bass were good as was the starter of crab cakes. Creme brûlée dessert was also good. Service was very good.
Food was great service was great. We will be back. Thank you for making our 47th Anniversary a great one.
Menu is not large but the selections are good. They did not have the crab cakes available the Friday evening we were there. The New York steak and lamb chops were excellent and the sides, asparagus and mashed potatoes, were great too. Small wine list. If you appreciate a great steak, then this restaurant is worth a visit. Service was great too.
Father’s Day dinner
Food flavor was GREAT. We ordered the rib eye and it was well instead of medium rare. Lobster bisque AMAZING, wedge salad great, mushroom ravioli awesome, sea bass very good, the steak was just over cooked which was disappointing for the price.
Edges of my Pub Burger were badly burnt. Otherwise food was delicious. Noise level made it difficult to hear others in our party of 8 at the table. Servers were excellent and very accomodating.
Great Service. The food is really expensive and isn’t that great of quality.
This is a hidden gem of a steakhouse!! The service was great, the table was perfect and the food incredible. Wouldn't change a thing. We came to celebrate my sons birthday and we were quite satisfied
Stayed at the Hotel and associate and I had dinner, reviews were pretty good so we tried it out. Food for a steak house was average at best, the Sea Bass seemed like it was frozen and just thawed and warmed.
Finally checked out the restaurant that is on the property of the doubletree hotel. Main plate was excellent New York Strip was cooked to medium rare and the wife had the iron steak plate with green beans and Mac n Cheese and was delighted with the food. My only exception was for starters was the lobster bisque which was watery and didn’t appear to have any lobster in it. That was a huge disappointment other than that the service was excellent and the main entrees were on point.
Our steak dinners were very well made. The restaurant was quiet and staff was very attentive and friendly.
Great steaks and fresh house salad. Loved the side Mushrooms enough for 2 or more!!! Would like to see a few more options for "Wine by the Glass".
The steaks were dryer than expected for the price. The Brussel sprouts were over boiled and then lightly fried. Food did not meet expectations for the price.
Our servers name I think was Sasha and she was very attentive, great attitude and great at her job.
Excellent service ... they were on top of everything quickly. Nice wine list, however a bit pricy but it did not keep us from the purchases.
Steak, filet mignon excellent. Salads well proportioned & fresh.
Appetizers and sides disappointing. Steak was great
Great experience! Friendly tentative staff! Food was good.
I will be back
THE 56.00 RIB EYE STEAK HAD NOTHING ON PLATE, NO EYE APPEAL AT ALL. IT WAS THE QUALITY OF A STATER BROTHERS STEAK. SEA BASS WAS GOOD.
NOT SURE WHAT HAPPENED, WE HAVE BEEN THERE BEFORE.
BOTH OF US WERE UP ALL NIGHT SICK. WE WILL NEVER BE BACK.
My steak was over cooked. Felt rushed out
This was my husband’s and I first time here. The food was delicious the service was excellent and the staff was so awesome. We will be back.
Food was over cooked and flavor less. And the prices were high for what we got.
Exceptional service and great food
We actually received the wrong person’s food but the server was very apologetic and worked to get things corrected. Great environment the live music and outdoor experience was the highlight.
I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was good. Looking forward to going back. I also liked the way the outside was set up. Looked very professional and it was very nice and clean.
The manager was awesome!!! He has great customer service skills, he checked on our service throughout the evening. Any issue we had, he promptly took care of.
The food was great , crab cakes were yummy ! We came to see the band Soto and they didn’t disappoint ! Lots of fun !
Everything was good and the service from our waiter and bartender was good
Great place for dinner, drinks and music.... Soto 🎶🎤🎉
Went to see The Soto Band perform on Sunday. The ambience was great. The outdoor set up was elegant. Our Server Howard was attentive. The rib eye steak was ok.
Too expensive for what it is. The steaks weren’t prepared the way we order. Take too long to bring the food. Don’t check on the clients as much.
Thought I take my lady on a date , but it might be bad for a first date since spot is inside a hotel. The inside was elegant but not your date atmosphere. Music was to loud and not to mention , way to empty for a Thursday night . For food quality , price is to high .
