Porterhouse Steak and Seafood - Little Canada Ratings and Reviews
Had a birthday dinner with my brother-in-law and husband. Their birthdays come almost on the same day. All our meals were exceptional. First time I had the lamb chops and they were very delicious.
I always have a Nuts & Berries cocktail and it is very tasty. Will return soon to enjoy another great meal and wonderful service.
It was my wife's birthday and we usually go to Porterhouse for birthdays, food was really good, fast service, our waitress Heather knew everything about the menu so that made it perfect. Grandma split a meal and the kids all enjoyed it too. A little crowded in the corner table in the bar area but we all had fun and a great meal!
This restaurant had very good food. Best prepared king crab I've ever had. Not only did they crack it, they cut it in half which made it extremely easy to eat. Martinis good. Shrimp cocktail and crab cakes good. Steak good. Cake good.
Make reservations early though. I reserved days in advance and still had to pick between 4:45 or 7:45, so pretty early, or pretty late. The only negative I have is that their reservation rules seem odd. Originally booked for 2 people. Called the day before and told them that we will in fact be a party of 4. Hostess said no, we can't do that. I asked if we were going to be seated at a 2 person only table. She said no. I asked why it mattered then if we were 2 or 4 if our reserved table was the same. She said that they allot a certain amount of time for reservations depending on how many people there are so that if we showed up with 4 people, we would have to give up our table by 6:15 no matter what (even if we weren't done eating). I said well if there was only 2 of us and we weren't done by 6:15, would we have to give up the table then? She said no. What?! I've never heard of such weird rules regarding reservations before. Like why was it such a big deal? She tried to move us to a 4:00 reservation to accommodate 4 people, but I already didn't want to eat as early as 5, let alone even earlier. After some persistence, she said that she would be willing to call me after 2pm the day of our reservation if any parties had downsized their large group or cancelled. So in the end that was the case and they allowed us to keep our reservation with 4 people, but seriously - did I really have to jump through so many hoops??
A great place for steaks, and always consistent in quality and service. .Frequent 4+ times per year. Can compete with other high end steak houses in the cities, and includes sides, rather than expensive add-ons that others charge for. Overall a very good value.
This was an anniversary dinner with me and my wife. Everything was excellent, except for the party of about 20 people being obnoxiously loud during our entire meal and at times were literally screaming. It was fairly difficult to have a nice conversation through this meal. This is in no way any fault of the restaurant though and the manager did tell them to quiet down, but it did affect the overall experience.
Good steak. Very 1950-65 atmosphere. I hope the people who work there get paid well because the prices are steep. Porterhouse was great, and everybody loved the food. Father-in-law paid the bill so I would be interested in his opinion. anyway, it was a Sunday night and there was a table of 15 next our booth. It was noisy. The place has a 50 - 60 person capacity to me. Anyway,
it was fine..
