We dined this evening with a party of six. Porterhouse has always been our favorite south metro restaurant. The food and service have always been impeccable. Tonight the food was good but steaks were not cooked to desired temperatures and we were never asked how our steaks were. It’s obvious Porterhouse like many other restaurants is struggling to keep great wait staff. I don’t know what the answer is but dining out isn’t what it use to be and prices are higher. I hope decent help will one day be realized and dining out will return to being the great experience it once was.

Steak special (Wagyu) was not what hubby expected. Waitress described the ribeye as being very fatty, and with the exception of one piece of grizzle, it was not very fatty. My petite filet was good, but not well seared as ordered. Drinks/wine were good, as were the salads. It was a bit overpriced, but the service was excellent.

Wondering what happened to the white cake that they give you for special occasions? it's usually very good, fresh and moist. What we were given (for my birthday, to take home) was close to inedible. Disappointing, for what usually is excellent!

We are regulars at Porterhouse. I usually get the salmon and my husband ordered the swordfish this time. We have never had a bad experience or meal but this time unfortunately we did. My salmon and my husband’s swordfish were over cooked. We were there for my husband’s birthday so kind of a bummer! Also, our server was nice but not as attentive as we have had every other time we have been there. We will definitely be back because we love the food, but want to let you know about our experience. Thanks!!
