Could not ask for a better Valentine’s Day and cannot wait to go back. An absolute gem!
Great time! Food was excellent!
Simply amazing! Great food, ambiance and service!
It was really extremely good. Very understanding with children
Always gracious service. Always delicious food! My fave!
I got the veggie lomito and it was seriously delicious but the potatoes it came with were just bad. My boyfriend got the short rib and he loved it but his side of the corn cake was also bad.
So mains were great but sides weren’t very good.
Service was great and so were the drinks.
Overall it was pretty pricey for what you get but because my sandwich was so delicious I would still go back.
Nice outdoor dining space -built out patio with heaters. Good food and friendly service.
This is a very nice place. We were there for a brunch on Saturday. We had sandwiches and a warm burrata appetizer (delicious!). The service was great, and the music was not too loud - just enough to create an atmosphere, but still let you talk to each other.
Overpriced (!), bland taste (Salmon and Empanadas) and a rather small menu.
We had a octopus special which was grilled octopus with arugula and cherry tomato salada. Octopus was a bit rubbery and definitely pricey for what you get.
Empanadas were too small. Chicken was dry. Radicheta was not a radicheta taste. Caprese was fantastic. Again very small empanadas.
Service was below basic... Not expect anything different.
Beer was cold but from chicago!!!
The service was impeccable, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was beautiful. It’s a hidden gem that you must try
Small place, limited menu, excellent food and service, friendly staff. Definitely will return
Excellent! We will be back.
My favorite place in Hudson Yards
Always delicious with great service. Loooove this place!
Friendly and knowledgeable wait staff
Everything was terrific. The service was phenomenal!! Great atmosphere and the food/drinks were delicious.
Great staff. Very intimate. Food was spectacular
My friend and I had a lovely time. Really great service all around! Loved it. Will be back :)
Loved it. Leisurely, delicious lunch.
Service and food were both fantastic. Be sure to get the carne empanada as an appetizer, and save room for the bread pudding for dessert!
The waitress did her best to accommodate our party. She was professional and friendly
My second visit was an even better experience than the first. First rate food and excellent service.
Food was exquisite. I had black and blue flank steak. Hubby had scallops and grouper. Do not miss out on the calamari... it’s not the usual boring fried dish.... very yummy.
Service outstanding. We were greeted at the door with a big warm smile and given a tiny bit of ‘real estate’ to wait. The proprietor insisted on buying us two glasses of Prosecco because we had to wait 5 minutes.... Angel, our server, was attentive, knowledgeable and pleasant.
I cannot imagine a better nyc dining experience. I would highly recommend. We will certainly go back.
We were welcomed straight away and sat at the bar! The food was delicious and the server very willing to share his suggestions!
Great place to dine. Ribeye was amazing. Empanadas were out this world. Drinks were delicious. Can't wait to go back!
I dined at Porteno for the first time - and had the most wonderful experience. The butternut squash soup was vegan and absolutely delicious. The snapper with clams and tomatoes was excellent, perfectly supplemented with the mashed potatoes. The bread pudding was one of the best dessert that I've ever had. The dining room is charming and quite cozy. But given the small space, it's definitely smart to make a reservation.
Excellent food!
Everything we had was terrific, from appetizers to dessert.
Very cute Argentinian restaurant with delicious food. Definitely worth to go there. What we did not like at all was that the waiters rushed us, for example because they cleared the plates too fast, asked us if we wanted to order more food even though we just finished our dishes or asked us to change our table because they need more space for new guests.
Food is amazing. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Great ambience.
Food was not tasty at all. Too expensive for what it was
Porteno is a great restaurant. This was our second visit and we would definitely go back. The food was delicious and the Bread Pudding is the best.
Excellent! Will definitely go again. Had an delicious Bruschetta appetizer. The best. And Grilled calamari with avocado was to die! Yum
Delightful!
Friendly staff that gave good advice on what to order based on what we were looking for .
Porteno was warm and welcoming from the start. All of the staff from host to waiters to servers were excellent and personable. I would return in a heartbeat.
Nice daily specials. Refreshing drinks.
The waiter is extremely professional and gave a lot of recommendations.
The food was delicious from start to finish, we would highly recommend.
The impression I received as I entered the restaurant was of a warm place albeit a little noisy. The decor was simple, yet welcoming to the eyes. The service personnel couldn’t be nicer and knowledgeable about the food. All dishes sounded appetizing and delicious. However, my choice (Salmón Patagónico) tasted somewhat a little flat. My two guests really enjoyed their choices. The wine was excellent, as all Malbecs usually are. The prices seemed a little steep, not for the food quality but for such a small table with no elbow room, which made the dining experience a little claustrophobic.
As a whole, I enjoyed Porteño. Next time I will stick to what Argentina is famous for: meat! I’m sure I’ll enjoy it better.
