The Swedish pancakes with lingonberry sauce were delicious!
Great space for eating outside during a pandemic. It's warm on the patio.
I would have gone 5 stars, but for the fact we had a 11:15 reservation and didn’t get seated till 11:45. 30 min is a bit much…maybe if they offered a coffee or mimosa while we waited (not free, but added to our bill) would have been a nice touch.
Always great fresh food and friendly and fun service.
Really fresh delicious healthy breakfast
Great experience! Food was really great! Busy busy and there was a little wait even with the reservation. Need to show proof of vaccination for dining. Everyone really enjoyed their meals!
Accommodated our party of 7 with indoor seating, good distancing between tables, confirmed vaccination status before entry, good ventilation throughout, excellent menu choices and food quality, best brunch on campus
Celebrating birthdays! Had to wait for a table even though I made reservations. Very noisy but we love the food!
The music was too loud to talk across the table, one simple meal of pancakes was delivered after others finished their meals including a pancakes with applesauce (must take a lot more time to not put applesauce on pancakes). The open food bar doesn’t make sense in a pandemic when vaccinated people spread the virus. Disappointing choice to say the least
Always a must for breakfast when we are in town visiting Seattle. Never disappoints.
Portage Bay is the best breakfast spot in Seattle. I love their vegan options, both are full of flavor, fresh off the farm and truly delicious. Their seasonal menu is also incredible and so fun to get you in the holiday mood. Whenever a new friend comes to town to visit, I take them to Portage Bay because it never disappoints. Thank you Portage Bay!!!
normally very good food but this time food was cold and eggs were overcooked - ordered eggs benedict and was disappointed. I will be taking a break from this place awhile - there are so many other better options in Seattle
This was absolutely the best place I ate at in Seattle! I had the bananas foster French toast and it was perfect. The others at my table had the migas and biscuits and gravy and they both really enjoyed their meals. I would definitely come back, and wish that we would have gone our first day because we would have gone back every morning!
Creative foods and some traditional standbys always with fresh ingredients. Appreciate the outdoor tables... although kind of defeats the purpose (minimizing COVID risk) when unvaccinated/untested people are able to eat at outdoor tables. Not 100% sure what my choice might be in the future with regards to guessing which seating option is best for us. Otherwise, appreciate the effort on Portage Bay's part to experiment with options and hope they are prioritizing their staff's health. That is a win-win for all of us.
Sunday breakfast while visiting Seattle
Can always depend on the food being of high quality and consistently good.
Food is amazing. Delicious. Unique. Fresh and healthy. What really impresses me is the professionalism in seating us (we had reservations). The place is mobbed on Sunday morning, and yet they seated us right at the reservation time. The system runs more smoothly than any restaurant I've visited.
Great food and very busy place. Make sure to make reservation or else the wait will be quite long
Our first visit due to our other place being closed down, didn’t know what to expect however this exceeded our expectations.
Great place great food , staff couldn’t have been kinder very fun and the guy we had was super nice.
Definitely will be back !
Amazing food!! Loved their pancakes!! They have very few options for vegans which needs to improve!
We love Portage Bay. They are SUPER busy so I'd completely recommend reservations. Whenever we have reservations we get in right at the time we've reserved. The staff is always friendly and the food is wonderful!
Too many people during covid times. Crazy busy day, but the staff and the food didn’t reflect it at all as it they were fantastic.
Great, friendly service. Lots of choices on the menu and delicious food.
Tasty food, with focus on quality locally sourced ingredients. Strong coffee.
Service was fast, and food delicious! We only had to wait for a table about 20 min on a Friday at noon. And we had to wait a little for coffee refill.
We wanted to eat outdoors and were accommodated. Our server was attentive, but no too much so, and the food was great.
Food was delicious!
Love this place is my One to go!!! Always. They are so nice and the food it's amazing!
I have a lot of food allergies and the staff at Portage Bay we’re very accommodating. Food was excellent. Beautiful patio setting and the blankets for your seat or lap were a nice touch.
Delicious food! Great place for us to take out of town guests. Would highly recommend.
Great breakfast spot. We ended up eating here twice and everything was great, really good flavors.
Server was disinterested and annoyed, food was cold and too salty, and when the server picked up the plates the were 80% untouched she didn’t bother asking if the food was OK. I’ve loved Portage Bay for years but I will not go back.
Delicious food, great service and fun atmosphere.
The server was rude and not personable at all. She didn’t great us when she got to the table. I ordered a scone and coffee and she said she would “bring it right away”. She brought the coffee 10 min later and the scone 16 minutes later. My eggs Benedict and side of potatoes was literally cold and I asked her to heat it up and she said she would get me a new plate instead. I said thank you. She returned 5 minutes later and said the “kitchen was too busy to make a new one” so she heated up my plate in the microwave instead. The kitchen being too busy is not an excuse and she should have followed through on her word. She also was not apologetic at all for the low quality of my food. Overall she was a terrible waitress. Not friendly and some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.
The food was delicious at the Roosevelt location but the noise level on the Saturday morning we were there was very loud.
Favorite place to eat breakfast before Husky football games. Amazing farm to table food!
It was very busy and noisy before a home Husky football game. But the food and the service continue to be top notch.
My favorite place for breakfast! The fruit and whipping cream are the best topping for the yogurt pancakes.
Absolutely amazing food. Definitely should make reservation, though.
Great location near the University of Washington. Food is delicious. Service outstanding. Took our grandson there and he loved it.
The only criticism I have is there is too much hard surface - noise factor is loud on Sunday mornings. Hard to hear conversations.
