Opening Port Bistro in Kingston is the next step in providing the best of fine dining on the South Shore. We’ve been able to move right into our new space and really hit the ground running. We will open with a full bar and cozy dining room. Many of our Sintra favorites will be on the menu, and our new additions will be the talk of the town and allow many to taste the unique bold flavors and top notch cooking that you have come to expect from Chef Brian and Sintra. Our three course special every Tuesday thru Thursday is really taking off and here are three big reasons why...our Statler chicken breast with potato gnocchis, our pan seared salmon with roasted beets, and our braised beef short rib lasagna. So three courses, only twenty nine dollars, and lots of great things to choose from... what's not to love about that?

We love Port Bistro! It's a little off the beaten path, but worth the trip for reliably delicious standards and specials and a friendly and efficient staff. Many-time repeat customer. One of our favorites for a lighter meal is the arugula salad that you can top with a delicious piece of salmon, tuna, chicken or beef. Fish is always cooked perfectly. If you are up for more, the pasta dishes, or "build-your-own" pastas are cooked and seasoned perfectly. If you like a little spice in your pasta, go for the puttanesca!

We had a great dinner at Port Bistro! We made a reservation for an early dinner, and we were greeted warmly by the hostess. Our waitstaff was attentive but not intrusive and we enjoyed a nice, relaxed evening with drinks, appetizers, dinner and coffee - we never felt rushed. The layout is perfect - there is a lively bar scene, but it doesn't interfere with those trying to have a dinner conversation. Port Bistro is always just right.

We made a reservation through Open Table and it was confirmed. Approx. 10 min. later someone from the restaurant called me to tell me there was an error because they are not open on Sunday. That is great service.

Our food was good as we expected. (We have been there twice already.) We were disappointed in the wait staff. Not very attentive. Even had to ask for bread and then the meal was served within minutes of getting dinner rolls.

This was a girlfriend birthday dinner. Everyone’s meal was fantastic. We shared salads and each had a great main course which was huge. Each of us took half the meal home and were able to enjoy igain the next day.

This is our second time here this year. The food was better than the first time.
The service was outstanding ( Laurie was our swerves ), the drinks were amazing and the food was served hot and promptly. The place was extremely busy, but not overly loud. I had the braised shortrib lasagna that was very tasty ( a little too much bread crumbs on top that took away the true taste) baked haddock was outstanding and the mashed potatoes were delicious, lastly the pan seared salmon was also very good. Definetly a nice meal overall and great service. Will be back

The food was awful. The veal milanaze was over cooked and basically not edible. We go out frequently and I can honestly say this was one of the worst meals ever. My husband had the bolognese pasta and it was not good . Never again.

Service was very good. I got the arugula salad which was a big plate of fresh arugula with dressing - nothing more. A bit of onion or a walnut would have made it better. The Beet salad was good but light on beets. The Cod Cakes were warm and quite good. I got the lemon shrimp with pasta - very tasty. The place was quiet and the wait person was very helpful. Would definitely recommend!

We've visited before. A friend from the West coast came to town so we visited again. All 3 meals were great, but the veal could have used more red sauce the steak and chicken were very good. Service was excellent and the ambiance was quiet which allowed us to catch up with our friend.

The food was good, nice amount and good taste. The service was excellent and friendly, very comfortable. We will definitely be back often. The noise level is pretty high, but that was from small groups, 4-6, enjoying themselves. Next time we will be at least a party of four.

A friend and I have chosen Port Bistro as a monthly meeting pace for dinner. We have not been tempted to go elsewhere, because the restaurant is perfect for our preferences. The staff is very accommodating, and welcomes us as old friends. The food is delicious, well-prepared and artfully presented. The atmosphere is cozy, and even when crowded, it is never loud. I would recommend Port Bistro to anyone as a delightful place for dinner.

Went here with friends on Saturday night. We got there 530 by 6 it was packed. Food was great, Ceaser Sslad, Bolognese on fresh Bucatini, Crispy Pork Milanese knock it out of the park. Delicious. Any of the fresh bucatini sauces are excellent. The Garlic oil one is my favorite, needs more garlic for me. Desserts are wonderful too.

What a wonderful surprise. Fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere. This is a legit hidden gem! The price is right for food of this quality.
I couldn't be more pleased with our visit.

The chef/owner and the sous chef are amazing! Numerous times we have requested ahead of time vegan/gluten free meals and they have created delicious dishes for us- starting with an appetizer, main course and dessert. The staff is attentive and professional and loves to see what the chefs have created for us. Has become a weekly ritual!

Port Bistro is the favorite meeting spot for a monthly dinner with a friend. They're always welcoming, the service is great, and the food is delicious. While we have other options for dinner in the area, we're always happy to go back to Port Bistro. It feels like coming home.

Port Bistro is getting to be quite a reliable restaurant. It had some initial growing pains with the menu but has since settled down and I'm always pleased with my dining experience there. The food is creative and portions are generous without being oversized. Great drinks and definitely worth a visit. Weekend nights are packed and it can get quite noisy but weekdays are much more relaxed. Not a lot of ambiance but definitely good food.

Ignore the KFC across the parking lot! This place is a find. The service is both friendly and informed. The portions are generous, prices are reasonable and the wine list offers some good choices. The four of us sampled each other's selections. The mussels in a slightly spicy tomato sauce with chorizo complemented the mussels without overpowering them with garlic. The wild mushroom bruschetta drew raves. The seafood paella was a perfectly executed risotto. The red wine braised short ribs were like butter and the lasagna bolognese was outstanding. The coup de grace was the special of the night: generous lobster chunks with ricotta ravioli. The ravioli were firm but not chewy and the flavor of the lobster stock infused the sauce. Mangia, mangia!

Port Bistro never fails to please. The menu is very small, but each item is worth trying. There are enough selections that meat eaters, fish lovers, and vegetarians can find selections. The wine list is also carefully curated and reasonably priced. The old favorites, such as the salmon and chicken, tend to stay on the menu; but a few new items show up to reflect seasonal availability.

Great place for a quick night out. Menu keeps changing which prevents it from getting stale. menu is limited but enough to find something you like. Wine menu is limited as well. Food is tasty and nicely presented.

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant find! The cocktails were exceptional - you have to try the salted caramel martini! The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. All our food was delicious and the portions were a good value. So the building was clearly a Pizza Hut but the inside was transformed into a funky, comfortable atmosphere. We will be back!

Disappointing! Husbands fish was "lousy". My Short Rib (no S as there was only one boneless "RIB") Dinner was dry and tasteless. Split a dessert that was also dry! I had the brussels sprout appetizer that was delicious and husband has Caesar salad that was quite tasty.
