My daughter and I celebrated her 22nd birthday. This is a great throwback restaurant. The room
Is cozy. The chef walked out to chat. Service was great. More importantly the food was terrific. Pasta dishes were memorable. Really worth trying!
The food at Porcini is very good. The tables are so very close to each other, akin to sardines in a can.
The noise level is terribly high.
Dave always does a great job for the front of the House (Host) and Steve for the back of the House (kitchen).
I always love the food and service as did my guests, commenting on how good everything tasted.
Wonderful as always!
Loud cold with door opening frequently . Service slow waitress made repeated mistakes with order. Did not refill water. Food bland ordinary flavorless. Would never go back.
Brought my mother to celebrate her 60th birthday. By far the best decision to celebrate a birthday. The service along with the delicious food will be remembered for years to come. Compliments to the chefs who prepared a wonderful cuisine, and our server who made our night truly one to remember. Thank you for you everything.
Amazing food and personal service. Felt like family even though it was our first time there.
Fifth time here when In philly last three years. It’s byob but food fantastic. Really authentic Italian. Even real duck eggs!!
This is a neighborhood gem. I love it and go often.
We had to flag down a few waiters to be served, the food was very overpriced for pasta. Carbonara is $16 in DC (where I was visiting diem), $28 there!
Very welcoming atmosphere as the workers greeted each customer and sent us off with a goodbye as well. You don't traditionally receive this personal touch at most restaurants so it was very nice, in addition to the excellent food.
Restaurant is very small and makes for tight dining and hearing all that your neighbors discuss. Cannoli was excellent, Pasta ok, didn’t know it was BYOB so we had to dash to liquor store. Waitress was lovely
Food is consistently good.
Excellent Italian restaurant with wonderful ambiance and outstanding food. Service is excellent.. noise level can be loud but still worth it for the food and atmosphere. Small, intimate space.. owners and chef are extraordinary.
The dining room is cramped, located on the first floor of a small town house. The tables, chairs, and decor are too well worn and need updating. The burrata appetizer was just so-so, the cheese being cut into small portions, while the eggplant appetizer was also so-so. The seafood pasta with black and white pasta could have been interesting, but again was so-so. The server placed the used silverware from the first course on the bread and butter plate, instead of replacing them - a real no-no.
We had a wonderful memorable family meal with 3 adults and two kids. We made a very early reservation (5:15) because of the kids, and enjoyed a friendly cozy celebratory atmosphere, great service and delicious food.
We had a 7 PM reservation - waited on the street (vestibule too small for waiting) until almost 7:30 for our table - we were led upstairs to second floor with no other patrons yet - no idea why we were made to wait when the table was available. Took another 15 minutes to get a waitress and place our order. Then a party of 20 arrived which filled the room - they were having fun (BYOB) but the noise was deafening - too loud for us to carry on a conversation. The large party should have had the entire room. The restaurant is super cramped, noisy and food was just OK. Needless to say we will not be going back.
It’s a great little place. Even with a reservation you may be seated later due to its size. Also because of that, it’s noisy.
Food is great and they treat you like family!
This was an absolutely amazing meal. From apps to the cannoli!
Very good meal! Would definitely recommend!
We love this place! Been there upwards of 20 times. They are great hosts and staff. Always a treat!
We had such a great time Dave and Steve are fantastic. I had friends in from out of town and the food was incredible as was the service.
Our waiter Alex did a great job as well.
Me and my wife had a great time,Met the owner and his brothers a chef great food great time we bought a bottle wine because BYOB excellent food well recommended
The food is always delicious and the service outstanding.
This is a neighborhood gem. I've been coming here for years. I love it. Staff, food.....all so good.
The food is delicious, especially the pastas. However, our server was new there and neither attentive nor knowledgeable, the portions were quite small, and the place is very cramped. Overall ok but there are other Italian places in Philly I’d go back to before this one.
The food was subpar for a Philadelphia restaurant to be quite a honest. The sauces were watery and everything needed salt/pepper or just something!
Meal was excellent as usual. This restaurant is a must visit every time we are in town!
We went for resturant week. I was disappointed in the food quality and it was very loud but due to the staff watching YouTube videos.
Will always recommend this place. Been eating here for years. Always great.
Food was delicious for restaurant week. Service was okay but the tables were so close together. My friend was backed into a corner she had to squeeze through tables to get out.
As always delicious food! I little bit of wait even though we had reservations...but to be expected since it’s a small place. A little disappointed that they did not say on website that they don’t participate in restaurant week on Saturday. But overall delicious and very friendly staff.
Love the food, love the atmosphere. Servers and host are kind and attentive to everyone.
Will definitely be back. Wish the tables were spread apart
Food was absolutely delicious & good portions for the price. Service was a bit slow because it was crowded but everyone was very nice and accommodating. Will definitely return!
One of the best meals I have had in Philadelphia! We went for restaurant week and the food was so yummy! I highly recommend this restaurant!
Great food and wonderful staff. Very small, cozy dining room.
Amazing . Just go .
Absolutely enjoyable neighborhood BYO. We've gone there for years. Food is excellent, and they go out of their way to make sure they can accommodate you with a reservation or not, and make you feel welcome. Small space, with a lot of happy diners, so noise level is of course way up there.
