Excellent. The food was very high quality with nice portions.
Great food and great owner. I come here every visit to phl!
Great friendly environment. Owners have pride in quality of food and overall experience.
Great food, great people, great service. BYOB. Will definitely go back
Great Food. Charming location. BYOB. But will never go back.
Clearly in violation of Covid protocol. Almost 100% occupancy. Busgirl was directed to next to the table. Togo order being filled next to our table. Owner greeted everyone with hugs and touching.
When we asked to make our order “ Togo” the owner asked we, we told him the 100% was making us uncomfortable.
We had the Chef’s five course tasting menu and it was very good. Exceptional value and it was a BYOB, which helped make the value even better. David was a great host / server and remained very active with all guest. It’s a very small, quaint restaurant with last of charm and made for a wonderful evening celebrating our wedding anniversary. If you’re looking for quiet and intimate this isn’t the place, however, the restaurant is friendly, active and very charming so it’s definitely worth a visit. We enjoyed all five courses. Highly recommend and will definitely return. Thank you Porcini.
Top tier food and service
The grilled calamari was not tasty at all - the tables are really close - the wait staff and kitchen staff as well as customers are all in a small space which isn't totally comfortable - the bread is just french bread from a grocery store -
The food was delicious and management was beyond gracious. The other party to my reservation couldn't make it and they accommodated me solo and were very attentive. Both the appetizer and main were delicious and I love the low key, casual atmosphere of the restaurant. I am looking forward to coming back again and will also give a recommendation to my friends who live locally as well.
Great food & great service! You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. The gnocchi appetizer special that we had needs to make a permanent appearance on the menu because it was a table favorite!
Amazing!! The food and service can’t be beat. We’ll definitely be back.
The food was phenomenal and the chef/owner/waiter made the experience! Thanks for having us :)
A pleasure to be back!
Wonderful service, delicious food, BYOB. Felt like a cozy neighborhood dining experience and we can’t wait to go back!
Food was delicious and the staff was so friendly!
I am never disappointed with my meal or the host
Server was great! Wish I could remember his name!!! Food was excellent. BYOB—We forgot to check! Fortunately, our server directed us to a liquor store about two blocks away so we ran out and picked up some bottles of wine. Overall a great night out. I highly recommend it.
Porcini was the best Italian place I have ever had. With amazing service and a quaint, quiet atmosphere, I would definitely recommend to a friend!
I’ve been here several times before - but this was likely the best meal yet here. The appetizers, entrees, and homemade desserts were all exceptional - especially impressive during COVID, when there were less customers allowed, yet the menu was still incredibly varied, and the ingredients were unbelievably fresh and unique.
This restaurant is really a Philadelphia treasure!
Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming and the occupied tables were very distanced. We had the grilled calamari, which was light and perfectly cooked. I had the cannelloni in a blush sauce, which was INCREDIBLE. He had the ravioli in a white sauce and used the bread to wipe his plate clean bc it was so delicious. The ricotta was amazingly fresh in both dishes. We shared tiramisu for dessert, which was melt-in-your-mouth perfect. I highly recommend- best dinner I can recall.
Steve is the man great damn food we will be going back soon
Wonderful chef’s 5 course tasting menu, paired to our wines!
It was great !!! We liked the food and service. Great place to go.
Third time I've been to this restaurant. Since the last time I went, the decor and ambience has been renovated and the inside looks beautiful. The food, as always, was spectacular. The owner is great and very accommodating. I would highly recommend.
Absolutely! This is the ultimate neighborhood italian restaurant with intimate charm and delicious food. Low on pretense, high on value.
Incredible food; amazing ambiance; unforgettable experience. Will definitely be back
We love Porcini’s - always have ... we a had an outdoor table which worked out rather well. The food and service was as great as in the “pre-COVID” era !
First plus is it’s a BYOB. The food was delicious, but the portions were a bit small. The servers were friendly and attentive and the chef came out to great the customers which was a nice touch and reminded me of restaurants from my youth. The dessert served during restaurant week was scrumptious!
I went with a group of 6 of us to Porcini during restaurant week for the first time. It is a small place but they managed to seat us comfortably. The menu was a pre-fix and there was a nice mix of assorted veggies dishes to choose from. The food was fresh and the portions were generous. Owner and Maitre d David was friendly and accommodating. My sea bass entree was delicious. Everyone enjoyed the dessert that was included as well.
This is where me and my boyfriend of 2 years and counting went on our first date in 2018! We love it and go on special occasions and random date night! It’s BYOB and the food is amazing! David is awesome!
During a difficult time, what a delight to see how this little jewel has found a way to continue to delight. David and his brother could almost make you forget about the virus. The outside tables made for easy conversation. The rollitini and Caesar Salad with anchovies were excellent. The pasta dishes continue to be first rate.
Favorite Italian restaurant in Philly! Best restaurant, great people and good food!
Amazing! Great service
The food was a simple menu, but italian food is at its best when simple and well prepared. The two brother proprietor were friendly and funny. Great experience è il pasto era buonissimo!
Food was amazing! David is the best host!
We had a very good dinner experience at Porcini. The owner was very attentive and remembered us from a past visit!
Amazing food & service!
The food was excellent and creative as usual - both salads and entrees were delicious - and David, one of the owners, made us feel completely at home and welcome. The did an excellent job of outside dining and distancing, wearing masks and making sure that people wore masks to go inside to the bathroom.
GREAT JOB, especially under difficult circumstances. There's a reason why I keep on coming back to this !
Food was great, staff is fun and friendly! This was my third time here and it was a great experience. Street is fairly quiet for outside seating.
Great menu, great food
