Like eating at a good friend’s house…if the friend cooks like your Italian grandmother. Excellent!
Cozy, friendly atmosphere. Food was once again excellent.
Nothing important to add. Friendly atmosphere. Small place; always good; glad they survived the pandemic.
Porcini is a small Italian BYOB with great food and very personal service. The team of four that run the place does a great job of moving a lot of customers through and despite the close quarters, the place is surprisingly quiet. The homemade pasta and the creative seasoning make the meal memorable - while hard to do - save room for dessert ...
This place is our « go to » ... every meal we’ve had has been great!
We loved P
Absolutely fantastic. Best carbonara in the city. Friendly owners and chef!
Great find and will visit again the next time we are in Philadelphia! Chocolate chip cannoli was fantastic as were the mussels. Hidden gem!
Quaint restaurant with good food and service. Gets loud but I didn’t mind. Enjoyed the pasta, meatball & sausage dish.
Best pasta in the city!
The BEST all around!!!
This is always my go to favorite restaurant. There was very friendly group of diners beside us.
Excellent food, atmosphere great, small interment setting
More than a great meal, an experience. Convivial, unpretentious. An ideal, small neighborhood restaurant run by two brothers of great passion.
Always delicious and great service!
The food was good. The hygiene was appalling. There were two men serving in the dining area, which is very small, so you can see everything. One was a waiter, the other seemed to be a manager/waiter. Within a few minutes of being seated, I watched the waiter wipe his nose with his bare hand multiple times, and serve plates immediately after (you can see the plates be handed to him by the kitchen). He then proceeded to cough directly into his hand, again, just before serving plates. I was glad that it would be the manager serving our table. Then, I watched the manager cough STRONGLY into his hand multiple times... and he too, served plates directly afterward. (Who still coughs into their hands?) Then, to top it all off, the waiter went to the tablet on the front desk (everything is within feet of each other in this dining area) to pull something up on the screen... and (I kid you not) then sucked the tips of his fingers as if he had just finished some chicken wings and... you guessed it, came over to clear our table and touched everything including our silverware (placing it back on the table for our use). I would have been horrified pre-covid at what I watched here, let alone now. It's a shame, because the food was good and the manager was very personable and a good host. Just would not recommend that this is a safe place to eat.
A good BYOB Italian restaurant with great food and great wait staff. A short menu with surprisingly good variety.
We LOVED Porcini!! Recommend 10/10!! Food was amazing, just the right touch!
Always the best….I love everything & everybody about it. It’s my go-to favorite and I bring all my out-of-town friends there when they want a great Italian meal. And it never disappoints!
As always Dave and Steve never disappoint. Everything was excellent!
Always a pleasure!
A long-time regular at Porcini... it is a treasure.. excellent food, awesome care/service, and a small, intimate environment that makes you feel welcome. Best of all, is the amazing, skill-fully prepared, and absolutely delicious food.
Great food. BYOB Very friendly atmosphere
WOW what a hidden Gem. Some of the best Italian food in Philadelphia. Perfect for any occasion. My expectations were blown away. The staff went above and beyond to make us a perfect evening. I highly recommend.
Adorable little place. Very nice, small and intimate. Like a cute European cafe.
Consistently great food and staff. Owners/chef give personal attention. We’ve been going there for years.
The food is always outstanding! And the friendly, personal service can’t be beat!
Porcini is our go to for a fabulous night! The food is always amazing and the service is top tier. I recommend Porcini to all of my friends.
Porcini is a Philly treasure…food, ambience, staff, atmosphere, service…a very special place!
Always a great meal. Steve and David are great and make you feel at home.
We have been going to Porcini for years, often to celebrate. Last time we came to celebrate our 50th. That night, we co-celebrated purely by chance with another couple celebrating their 52nd and a young woman celebrating her birthday. Such a joyous occasion!
First time visit. Will be going back with friends. Love the small dining room.
Not utensils were given. My date had to ask for a fork and he ate the appetizer with his hands.
Waiter was not friendly.
Great being back again!

I really liked our visit to Porcini for restaurant week! The staff was very inviting, and the food was amazing! I would definitely recommend. It is a cozy space so it can get a little loud, but it was still a very fun place with delicious food. Definitely recommended.
Excellent food and service!
