Disappointed with the menu changes. Went there for the quiche and they don't offer it anymore, also no more baked goods. Too bad we liked those items.
We went for Mother’s Day brunch. Everything was fantastic!!
Ashley our server is amazing!
Really miss the old menu and pastries. quality of the biscuits and food overall is definitely not the same.
The service and ambience make dining at Porcellino a delight. Food was fresh and delightful. Wonderful experience
Small with limited seating. For a "Butcher" there was very limited selections with meat. It was very loud so not as peaceful as one would think, it has a seating area with books and coffee tables.... no way I would try to read in that noise. The food was okay, very small portions and limited menu choices. Doubtful to go back, or at the very least know what the seasonal menu is prior .
Over the last few months the whole experience has deteriorated. The service was incredibly slow and we had to send back two entrees. Poor quality control
We enjoyed our breakfast here. The coffee cake was a little dry, but still tasty. The biscuit sandwiches are outstanding. We will definitely be back.
Awesome ambience with well curated cuisine and coffee! With Porcellino’s, a brunch option is everyday!
Great food, great service. We really enjoyed our Sunday there.
Porcellino's ahs been one of my favorite brunch spots for a while, and we went again on 2/25/18. I was disappointed to see they have discontinued their brunch menu and now just offer their regular breakfast/lunch menus. Unfortunately, several of my favorites on the brunch menu are not offered any longer. In particular my favorite breakfast in all of Memphis, the "Poached Egg"; their delicious grits with the smoky bacon-tomato gravy & greens with eggs on top. I had the chicken biscuit which is very good, but have to order a la carte sides if you want a full meal. Also gone with the brunch menu is the $5 bloody mary.....still have them, just $7 now.
Anyway, food is still good, but with more limited options now that brunch menu is gone and no longer having my favorite breakfast which was so unique to Porcellino's I doubt I'll be going nearly as often.
Only my second visit here and I do love this place. It’s somewhat small and cozy but enough action to people watch and enjoy.
Our waiter was Damien. When we asked for suggestions he was so very helpful. He asked if we were interested in sweet or savory and was extremely knowledgeable of everything on the menu. We so appreciate this as my friend and I are food lovers.
The menu is made up of small plates that you can add to or change around. This visit I had the chicken and biscuit and then added 2 eggs to go along with it. My friend did something similar. Bloody Mary’s are great as well as the Mimosas.
Again, our waiter was kind and patient with us. We appreciate him!!!
The menu on the website is not the menu you get. Limited selections. Most food can be eaten with your hands. My breakfast was no more than a McDonalds bacon egg and cheese biscuit. Disappointing.
We went to Porcellini’s as a late Valentine date because we read it was in the top 10 of Memphis restaurants. The Shrimp & Grits was fabulous as was the Steak & Frites. The drinks were good, but a very limited dessert menu which consisted of 3 items. Our server suggested the Cinnamon Roll. Large serving and icing was great, but the Cinnamon Roll was cold and obviously stale. Not a great way to end a wonderful meal!
Porcellinos is the kind of place you want to love, but like is all I can muster for this place. The food is a better than average but not nearly on the level of Andrew Michael or Hog and Hominy or a dozen other East Memphis places , the atmosphere is odd and the service is friendly and a little above average. $40 for two for lunch -- I'll go elsewhere next time and have a much better meal for the same price
Delish brunch as always!
Delicious food! Service was great - very informative, enthusiastic and helpful in making a decision. Cocktails and breakfast food - you just can't go wrong. Fresh and tasty ingredients. Love the atmosphere!
The atmosphere was very cozy. The place is relatively small, but it’s comfortable. The noise is a little loud if the place is mostly full. The food was incredible and the coffee drinks were my absolute favorite. The coffee cake was very flavorful and the pork sausage is delicious and spicy. It’s a great place for breakfast, and I would imagine their lunch would be just as good.
The Rosemary Clooney cappuccino infused with rosemary had a delightful finish. Service was on point and our meals were delicious. I would certainly recommend this East Memphis gem to a friend.
Great breakfast spot. New coffee menu is superb. Don't miss!
The noise level was extremely bad. Owners should think about adding acoustic tiles to reduce noise levels.
Brunch here often as one of my favorite brunch places. Took a long time before we saw our server this trip, but once he started waiting on us he did a great job. Somewhat short menu, but a good variety everything is delicious. Love the Poached Egg (but get with a fried egg). It is all hard surfaces, so at times can be very loud.
First visit here for brunch. We began with a pastry sampler plate. Gone. Loved it. I had the cappuccino while a friend had a delicious chia tea with a shot of Baileys in it. Omg. So good.
We all ordered completely different brunch items and were not disappointed. Mine was the quiche with an arugula salad. The dressing was a simple lemon and olive oil. So good. We had such a wonderful time. Service was friendly and attentive.
Will go back. Soon!!
Food and service were awesome.
Very loud place.
Not where you can have quiet conversation.
I will Be bank for the food !!!
Disappointed that they took the bagel and lox off the menu! Also, heard they are taking the poached egg dish off the menu too. That’s sad!
Great southern style brunch menu! Service was great.
Food is amazing.
Service was a bit slow. Normal for them. They are just not in any hurry. You would think they would / could hire better wait staff.
Great service. Brunch today was busy, and food came out barely warm. Seemed like the Kitchen was overwhelmed, it was not the usual experience. Otherwise, this is one of my favorite places for breakfast/brunch.
Excelled in all areas. My absolute favorite place in town.
We had a great experience! Service was great and the food was excellent. Their breakfast items and pastries are more than worth the visit and their coffee options make you a recurring customer.
Brunch on a early Saturday afternoon was nice. Sat outside, very comfortable. I had cheesesteak and my wife had eggs, grits and bacon. (I sampled the grits, she wouldn't share the bacon). All the food was great. Service was good also. A little slow, but not an issue on a beautiful fall afternoon. My only complaint is we are not coffee people so we both got ice tea. The tea tasted great, but at $4 per person, I wish I had gotten water. We definitely will return soon.
Amazing! Everything is delicious and the servers are great! It is a favorite place for breakfast and lunch.
We came for Sunday brunch per recommendation of friends and also my online research. We made a reservation and had to change the time day-of, but the staff was very accommodating. We started with a cappuccino, chocolate croissant, and the café shepherd. All were outstanding. The coffee is very good, the chocolate croissant tasted perfect (like the ones I've had in Paris), and the café shepherd was better than I expected. Food - bagel and lox. Wow. This bagel. We both had zero complaints about this dish. Hit the spot. The Butcher's breakfast was likewise delicious - the grits were the highlight there.
We got a Chai Latte and Americano to finish - the house made chai blend was delicious and light.
My lunch experience at Porcellino's was uneven. The restaurant had no record of my reservation made through Open Table -- not a good start. My hamburger was OK but undercooked and not that special. The chips were small, like the kind you get at the bottom of a bag. The water glass was tiny (like a juice glass), and there often was a time lag in getting it refilled. All in all, the meal was unremarkable and definitely should have been better given the prices charged by the restaurant.
Had to flag down employee to ask for server to come to table 10 to 15 minutes after being seated. Server asked for order and when I started speaking she said hold on a minute and turned away from the table briefly. We had to repeatedly ask to have water glasses and drinks refilled. Another employee reached over our table while we were still seated and said excuse me are you finished with the salt and pepper and took it from our table. Food was delicious and well-prepared but overall negative experience due to poor service.
It was great, as usual!
Poached egg meal was out of the world. Breakfast sammie and home fries were also great.
