A reservation on a Saturday night, we were greeted promptly by hostess and seated at an extremely small, cafe-type table (a little small for dinner). The restaurant was extremely warm. Since it was a Saturday evening, it was somewhat busy and noisy. Our server had a large area, but was handling it the best he could, we actually felt bad for him. Our salads were good. My husband had the penne vodka, which he said was good. I had the cacia pepe, which was ok, a little too wet for my liking.

Parking was easy and free, located next to restaurant and near stadiums. Open dining room was clean and attractive but as it filled up became warm and stuffy. We happened to be seated near a large party that became noisy, a happy celebration but it also became difficult for us to hear our dining partners. Service was good and staff were friendly. Menu included basic Italian pasta dishes, limited meat and fish options. I would try it again but would check the menu first for more variety.

The food was outstanding. However, our service was horrible. We waited over 30 minutes to order. Our order was taken only after I asked her to take our order. Our waitress asked if we were celebrating a special occasion and we let her know we were and told her what we were celebrating. My daughter privately asked to hostess if they could put a candle on the celebrant's desert. She assured us they would. Once our food came, we finished eating.....and waited. I had to tell our waitress we were finished eating. She asked if we wanted dessert. We ordered. She came back twice to ask us what our dessert order was. The desserts came out...no candle. As I said, the food was outstanding, as always. But the service dampened the occasion. By the way, there were only 3 other tables eating.

Great restaurant near the stadiums in south Philly. The food is very good, solid cooking. Service is great, gets you in and out quickly, efficient, pleasant. Atmosphere is nice and welcoming. Overall a great choice when you are in the area

Father's day 2025- pasta bolognese was like it came from a can. Side of gluten free pasta not cooked , sent back. Drinks took 20 min each time we ordered. Waitress definitely was checked out and barely checked in on us. At one point we thought she went on a break. Crab cake app has 3 pieces of the Crab shells mixed in. Never again will we ever go back.

Amazing! One of my favorite places. The food is so good. Grilled vegetables and Burratta, eggplant stack so good. My usual, clams and linguine white sauce is my absolute favorite! Try the new lite fare menu and delicious drinks made with John’s Water Ice, worth it!!

Haven't been to Popi's in a couple years, but was happy to see it is still really good and maybe even better. The bartender made me two old-fashioned's. The second one was "smoked'. They were great. The only one thing I would point out is that they should use better cherries. Not a fan of Marachino's for an expensive drink. We ordered the calamari for appetizer. Nice and crispy and not chewy at all. Good amount for two people. The trio filet that I ordered came cooked to perfection and all were nice sizes. Service was timely, but not rushed and the ambience, being a Tuesday night, was on the quiet side. Definitely enjoyed the dinner.

The customer service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and very friendly and understanding. The food was subpar. The salad was wet, soggy and welted. The fish was overcooked and dry. It was supposed be the special of the day. The food taste was bland and the drink was not mixed well. We end up leaving and going to another restaurant for dinner. The calamari and mussels were tasty. If you’re looking for a light snack.
