Popei's offers a wide variety of menu items, all proven to be the best. We won best seafood restaurant on Long Island by News 12! Wait staff very efficient and frendly. Service was outstanding. Owner Joe came to tables and made sure everyone was having a great time. Seafood was very fresh.. Over all a wonderful experience.

Very good meal...we enjoyed our entrees which included the In the Works seafood dish, chicken francaise, Lobster roll and jambalaya. The waitress...wish i recall her name, was excellent. Constantly visiting us, refilling drinks, etc. Only issue was hostess. Made reservation thru Opentable. My name in OT is Dave. The two people meeting us there arrived first, said David thru Opentable. They called me as I was approaching sating they didn't have our reservation. If you have even been here, you know the ridiculous small entry way gets mobbed. So they did not enjoy that. When I got there, was not easy getting in and getting to hostess to show my reservation on OT app. She then found my name, blaming it on "she was checking for David, not Dave." Really? Had time of reservation, # of people and still couldn't locate it? Just a bad way to start the evening but luckily rest of evening was fine. Also, never valet here. Always find street parking. Ridiculously small lot and very frustrated and angry valet parkers. My brother who had never been there pulled in, which really leaves you no where to go and the guy was yelling at him to back up and move. There was no where for him to go. The only other negative was just cramped seating in a small booth,.

Food, service, pricing all were excellent. Had expecting Lobster dish, it was very tasty and quite filling. Very enjoyable and fairly priced. Waitress was very attentive. Definitely and highly recommend!

We had a fabulous meal. We were seated early, the waitress was phenomenal, and the food delicious. We had the garlic bread (better eaten when it is hot!), raw Cherrystones (clean, fresh, yummy), salad (fresh!), soft shell crabs (sautéed lightly) and the halibut special. Everything was fresh, tasty and worth the value. We will return.
