This was my first visit to Poor Calvin’s and I will definitely be back. The service was impeccable. The food was amazing and I really loved how we didn’t have to wait long for our drinks or food! It was perfect!
I loved the atmosphere and the service! Our waitress was kind and professional and she made us laugh.
The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and the food was absolutely the best thing we've ever eaten! You get so much food. Well worth the drive from SC. Valet guys were very nice. Will come back to try more menu items.
Yall this food was amazing!!!! Our waiter Ramsey was extraordinary! Lobster wontons, beignets, the peach bellini, lobster fried rice, fried chicken, soooooo worth it!
Nikita was an outstanding server! Her recommendations were on point! I will definitely be back!
Fantastic food, fantastic service
Really made feel welcome once you get to your table
The food and service were both excellent. The only thing that needs addressing is that the parking.
Great food and drinks. The grouper was served so creatively. The mango spice cocktail was delicious.
This is my second time eating at this restaurant and there is always a line even with reservation and hard to get a decent time. I went today which is a Tuesday and I was able to get an 8:30 reservation, we finally got seated around 8:45pm. I ordered a lobster Mac n cheese as an appetizer and a Thai tea. The tea was too much coconut milk and no tea taste and lobster Mac n cheese had a little kick to it. I asked them if they had a kid”s’ meal and they say they have chicken and fries,so I ordered that until our waiter came back and said they “ ran out” of fries and if I wanted anything else so I said no Just the chicken would bring fine so I asked for some ketchup and guess what the waiter gave me a weird look and said sorry we don’t have ketchup. This is the first restaurant I’ve been to that said they don’t have ketchup, I think is little ridiculous that first they ran out of fries then they don’t have ketchup.
My kid end up not eating since he was hoping for his fries the whole time:(
This time around eating with this restaurant was very disappointed and don’t know if I will ever return agajn!
Excellent service and food in a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Service was great, food was tasty, definitely one of my favorite places to eat in Midtown.
I did. Very good food. Waitress answered all my questions
Best lamb chops I ever tasted. Everything on the plate was delicious.
Our first time to Poor Calvin’s did not disappoint. Each dish was scrumptious. The flavors were amazing. Deviled eggs and lobster wontons for appetizers. Fried chicken, lobster Mac and cheese with greens was my husbands choice for entre. I had the Curry Seafood. Amazing! We saw the desserts passing us, going to other tables. They are huge! We chose the pound cake. Wow! Another wow, the service! Impeccable. Calvin’s is our new favorite restaurant. We will be back!
I love the food here. The presentation is great and everything is nice and fresh.
I just love this place. It is one of my top 3 favorite restaurants to frequent.
Food is incredible. Omg that lobster fried rice and grouper fish dish was amazing
Food and service was good. However, valet parking only had one person working. It was a long wait to even get our cars parked before entering the restaurant
The Lobster Wontons were delectable! Must try. The Lobster Fried rice and Fried Chicken was perfect as usual. The Lychee Martini was so refreshing. Really enjoyed the Lychee garnish. One of our favorite restaurants in the city. NEVER disappoints us. This is our 4th visit!!
The food and service, as always, were excellent! I love this place!
Food is always unique and delicious - service always personal and great - but the noise level was really hard to deal with this visit
Everything was Awesome! It was my birthday dinner and the waiter treated me as so!
Great food and great service.
I love the food and the staff. The grouper and sea bass were to awesome.
Unique atmosphere with exceptional food. A great find for an out-of-state food experience. So glad we went!
It was ok but considering the hype, I would recommend for lunch only if someone wants to try it.
This is just a great combination of great food and superb service.
I come to Atlanta for work twice a year and eat at Poor Calvin's atleast once during each stay. It's absolutely phenomenal. The service is always great, the atmosphere is super fun and the food, wow! The deviled eggs with korean bbq are always my app and the lamb chops with goat cheese my entree, it's so good, I can't get myself to sway to something else. My coworkers pretty much do the same with each of their favorites. This go around he had a special app of goose liver pate. I don't think I have ever tasted such amazing pate and I have traveled the world and order it whenever it's on the menu - his was the creamiest, most incredible pate. I don't care for Atlanta much but the prospect of going to Poor Calvin's makes it a much less painful trip for me.
When we visit Atlanta, we always eat at Poor Calvin's as it is a favorite. We ate outside this time and it was very nice and a bit quieter than it is inside. Food and drinks and service were outstanding.
Very good food and service. We enjoyed our dinner.
Love this place and it did not disappoint this time. Had a wonderful birthday dinner tonight. Food and service was absolutely superb!
Food was absolutely delicious. Presentation was great and Ramsey our server had customer service skills that made us feel like we were his only table. Everything exceeded our expectations but the quality of service Ramsey provided is the reason I will return.
Great food and awesome service!!
Poor Calvin's is great! Good food, great service.
Food was ok. Dumpling special was tasteless and not filling. Salad not worth a mention. Seafood curry was full of seafood, but too soupy. Lobster fried had a bed of rice and one fried lobster tail stuck on top. Service started out slow.
Katie was great!
Great ambiance, great food, amazing drinks...
Make reservations, it’s a must as this place is popular. We had 6:30 reservations and were seated promptly. The hostess and our server were very friendly and attentive. The food portions are big and everything we ordered tasted amazing.
My car was broken into and the manager: although she was nice: she blamed it on the valet company. Although: they did park our car on the street instead of in the parking lot: but as a customer of Poor Calvin's the customer has no distinction between Poor Calvin's and its contracted company. I feel as though the restaurant left us out to deal with their contracted company. That shows they don't really care for the customer.
I ordered the chicken and greens. The greens were cold and the chicken was a little fatty. This was the first time that my food was not up to par at Poor Calvins.
