We know the word "fusion" has been wielded about to justify everything from Hula Burgers to Mexican lasagna. But the East-meets-South brand of fusion happening at Poor Calvin's? It's creative; it's innovative; and it's probably unlike anything you've tasted in the ATL. After working in kitchens around the world, Calvin Phan wanted to shake things up a little. And so, into the mac 'n cheese, the Thai spices went. Now, Calvin's giving Southern staples, like sea bass and fried chicken, a decidedly creative Asian-inspired twist (and a nip of spice, too). He has created innovative dishes, approached in much the same way, leave the hands of Calvin Phan day in and day out. His dedication and attention to detail are evident in each dish and dessert. You won't be disappointed.

We had the most incredible time, and felt so taken care of by both the maitre d’ and our server. The drinks, food and dessert were outstanding, and the level of hospitality beyond memorable. Thank you 🙏🥰

They were friendly and accommodating, the server got a little bit behind because of an inconsiderate group and he couldn’t have been more apologetic. Interesting and creative dishes, lots of lobster if that’s your jam, and about right priced for this quality and level restaurant. I really liked it, everyone, including me, felt like a friend

This was my first experience being at Poor Calvin’s . I loved absolutely everything about this restaurant. I highly recommend to others . My waitress Louise was very knowledgeable about the menu she was consistent on checking on us asking if we needed anything and was very polite

We stopped in after a show at the Tabernacle and had some small bites and everything was delicious. Really loved the lobster wontons and the lobster mac and cheese. The service really stood out - the staff went above and beyond.
