Amazing as always..
I alwAys enjoy Poor Calvin’s! I just wish it wasn’t so tight but that won’t keep me from going back!
The food was excellent and tasty. I was told by a coworker how much she enjoyed Poor Calvins. I had to try it out for myself. I’ll must say, me and my lady were not disappointed. We will be returning for a second time. Highly recommend!!!
The food and service is consistently excellent!! We visit from TN often and every time we make our way to Atlanta, Poor Calvin’s is our first stop!
Was told this was a must try while being in Atlanta. Finally was able to make it and it was well worth it. Not only is the atmosphere very trendy and welcoming but the service is superb. The server was very welll versed on the menu and had great recommendations! We both went with his recommendations and the meals were perfect. The duck and the shrimp & scallop pad Thai. Nothing was missed and we will definitely return.
Great food, ambiance and drinks!!!! On a Saturday night, of your reservation Is for let’s say 9:30, don’t expect anything before your time. This place is a hot spot that will have you seated exactly when you ask not later or earlier!
Ambiance was great food was delicious! If your in Atlanta is a must you visit!
This place is an all-around 5 Star dining experience. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the energy. The staff is well educated in their menu from the delicious hand crafted drinks (I recommend and of their signature cocktails) to enticing appetizers (try the deep fried deviled eggs) and I always want to get their house special or Lobster Fried Rice. You can't go wrong. Impeccable service, food that is perfectly seasoned and prepared in a way that will make you want to keep coming back. Desserts that are to-die for! If you haven't saved room for dessert, get it to go, just don't miss out!
Everything we had was excellent. I creativity of the dishes were amazing. Our server was well informed of each dish and made it sound so good. I can't believe I hadn't been back in a few years. I think the brunch rush deterred me. But we went at 12:30am (with a reservation) and it was perfect. As we were leaving, it was definitely a packed house. It is a little tight in there but I don't mind the cozy feel.
Food was amazing ! The special of the day was a seafood dish. I had the fried chicken and the collards are always a ten. Love this place!
The food was very good and the service was amazing! The staff was incredibly attentive and very friendly. We definitely plan on going back.
Everything was great! Starting with valet parking great! Staff was friendly and accommodating. They asked about food allergies before we started. Great off menu items for the night including several seafood dishes.
The seafood melange with the saffron pasta is a must try!
If you’ve never had duck this is the place to try it! Nicely smoked and so tender and flavorful.
The desserts are great and big enough to share! Great service and birthday dinner
We had an amazing waiter and bartender!! Robert and James could not have been better! They were both so kind and friendly and were very knowledgeable about what we would like! They have us feel like home!!!
Lola was an energetic and fun server!
Service is outstanding!! The staff is very attentive and the food...WOW! Food is unbelievably creative and so very delicious!!!
Great food on every visit. Every entree I've ordered has been delicious.
Consistently vivacious, fast, fun and flavorful - I’ve never had a bad meal. Really different and interesting ingredient combinations presented in an eye pleasing way.
Never disappointed when I dine at Poor Calvin’s! The staff is amazing, the drinks are divine and the food is BEYOND!
nice decor , friendly attentive service, good food , little noisy table for 2 small , but you will have a good experience
Food was incredible and so was the service!!! We had such a great time! Definitely one of my favorite places to dine in Atlanta!
You have to try those crab fries yumm.
Crispy beef & fried rice.
Enjoyed our waitress Ms. Sha-na-na herself! She was great, attentive, and a whole mood!
Everything was great. Our waiter, I believe his name was Sean, was amazing and only added to our overall dining experience. Poor Calvin's is a house favorite for us.
Enjoyed the meal at Poor Calvin’s. Interesting mix of flavor and style. Asian with flair. We had Lobster Fried Rice and Sweet and sour chicken, both very tasty. Dessert was awesome! Service was very good — timely, attentive, and friendly.
Enjoyed the experience and will return.
As always, the food was absolutely delicious. Our server was amazing and very informative - described everything so well. Overall it left a great impression on my date who had never dined here before. One of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta, hands down.
The service and food was outstanding. Very satisfied.
We did wait about 30 minutes for our reservation which was not ideal but the bar, while crowded, still offered excellent cocktails with little wait. The staff was very apologetic and kept us updated. When we arrived at our table, the manager comped us 3 apps which was above and beyond our inconvenience for the wait. The service was fantastic. The food was fantastic. Everything (outside of the minor inconvenience of a wait) was perfect. As a restaurant, you cant control when tables open up, you can only estimate. However, the response of making your guests feel welcomed and compensated for the inconvenience is something you can do. Their response was more than I could have ever expected. Poor Calvins has always been on my list as a solid option but now it is at the top of the list. Well done!
Amazing food. Great service. Little noisy but worth it for the food.
Food and drinks were excellent. Server was intrusive and very loud. Felt rushed at times.
The food is fabulous -- consistently so. Love sitting on the cozy and festive porch in the rear. A little noisy, but at least there is no music blaring.
Incredible food and probably the best server (Lola) that you will ever encounter at a restaurant when you want to have a good time.
Wonderful experience. Recommend!
Great food, service, and location! Highly recommend for a date night or dinner with friends.
The portions are smaller and the cost has increased. The crispy beef definitely didn’t taste the same as it normally does. It will be a long time before I return.
The food and our server Lola was amazing... every main foe dish was amazing. Definitely coming back - this is an Atlanta gem
Food was AMAZING as always! Tried the seafood omelet for the first time and my husband tried the sweet and sour chicken, both did not disappoint! One of my favorite places in ATL! And Calvin is super cool 😎
Everytime I come to Poor Calvin's, my tastebuds are exposed to yet another culinary marvel. This time I had the fried chicken with lobster mac and cheese and collard greens and I damn near passed out it was so good. I have no had a bad dining experience yet with Poor Calvin's and I don't see that ever happening! Magnifique!! 👏🏾👏🏾
A friendly restaurant with good Asian fusion food. Cocktails are good and strong. Be aware that you can be drunk easily there ; ) the only disappointment was the dessert. Not good, sugary, fatty, untasty. I recommend avoiding them, which in a way is good for your budget (the restaurant is pricy) and your diet.
Everything was phenomenal, from the moment we walked in through the end. Carla was extremely knowledgeable and energetic about the menu. She gave us excellent recommendations. Service was prompt on everything from drinks to clearing the table. Food was outstanding. Fried rice and lobster, as well as the crispy beef were bursting with color and flavor. We loved the deviled eggs with Korean BBQ pork. Thank you for a great night!
