   Again, we were not disappointed by any means, the food was excellent and the customer service is the best. There's not much else I can say, if you want a culinary experience eat here.

   This is a gem! This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, great drinks, and wonderful dessert. I recommend to everyone! I can’t wait to dine here again.

   Very much a hassle to find parking, very small parking lot maybe 10 spaces . After going around twice a security guard flagged me down & told me I could park on the street (there’s a no parking sign BTW) so unless you’ve been you wouldn’t know that Reservation was for 2 my other guest was looking for parking too -couldn’t be seated even though it was only a 2 person party. Sat down when he arrived. Tables are very close to one another. Curtain on a line seperates some tables. Maybe it was just a bad evening but the two tables near us were EXTREMELY LOUD !!! Both tables had 2 people at them. At one table a guy was on his cell phone about 10 mins very loud. Other table of two was even louder trying to talk over them. Totally killed the ambiance. Calamari-loved it Lamb chops-good but not great -not flavorful Carrot cake-huge serving but not our taste -didn’t taste any hint of carrot cake (server did describe it-just thought it’d taste like carrot cake) Had a lavender tea it was ok For the hassle of parking -seating-loud & small dining room likely won’t be back Wanted to love but we weren’t impressed

   Waited 30 minutes after reservation time and table was still not ready. Er opted to be seated outside at a available table to could accommodate us. Once seated we observed that 2 our side dish plates and some of our utensils were dirty "still have food particles" so we asked our waiter for a cup of hot water to put all our utensils that we decided to used in. He said he could not get us hot water in a cup at the table because of other customers that maybe watching. I asked for the manager and he tell us the same thing explaining that it was the restaurant policy not to give hit water at the table. He suggested getting our utensils cleaned and repolish inside the kitchen which we agreed to but refuse to change our side plates because he could not see the food particles on it. Which my son had removed when he notice it. Immediately after refusing to change the side plates he stated VERY RUDELY that we will not be serve and we should leave, he then walked away. NEVER had that experience in a restaurant before. This ruined my birthday dinner. I worked in 5 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ hotel restaurant, and high end restaurant from a server up to a manager and had never seen any manager handle a situation like this before. This male manager at Poor Calvin in Midtown Atlanta had NO customer service experience. When we were leaving he told us to write a review if we wanted he don't care. I am still in shock as to how he dealt with that issue. He is not a good asset to Poor Calvin Restaurant. How many other birthday dinner celebration has he ruined. Will never never go back there or will I recommend anyone.

    We had dinner here to celebrate my husband’s bday before a show. The food were all delicious, the drinks strong, and the service impeccable. Everything was wonderful from start to finish. Will definitely be back.

    The whole experience was fantastic. Our server, Joy, was amazing. She was helpful with ordering, especially with one in our group needs gluten free. She had a nice selection. The food came out amazingly fast. I had the seafood curry, which was delicious & full of yummy fish & veggies. The coconut curry was delicious. The pad thai was also excellent. The 3 of us shared the fuji Apple & ice cream. The apple was huge & delicious. Everything was perfect.

    The cocktails were beautiful and different and tasty. The menu options are unique, but it was hard to choose as they all looked fantastic. The 4 different dinners we ordered we all prepared wonderfully and delicious. Desserts were amazing... and huge. Finally, our waitress was top-notch: attentive, funny, knowledgeable about the menu options, and had great recommendations. Highly recommended to anyone who wants terrific food and options not found on every other menu in town.

    This was my first time at Poor Calvin, once you enter the building the hostess was friendly and made sure we knew our table will be ready shortly. Once we sat down our waitress Joy was really great, very helpful letting us know the special for the night. Now once the food arrived I was impressed. The lamb chop were excellent. The drinks were really good. As I stated it was my first time, but not my last. Thank you for a great experience.

    It was so so so hot - we were sitting by the front door that they said they had to keep open for food runners/staff helping the patio diners - it really made the experience less than desirable. Maybe that is why my Thai curry seafood wasn’t that enjoyable - it was a very expensive meal to not enjoy the dining experience.

    The food was outstanding as it has been for years. My 1 stars are related to our bill, our server did not inform us that a 19% gratuity is automatically added to the bill. My husband tipped another 22%. Which ended up being over a 40% tip over $100!! We noticed after we left, he called the restaurant a week ago and was told they would refund our tip, we just wanted our 22% back, not the 19%. But we got neither.

    Andre, our server, was top-notch. The entire staff is was friendly and, collectively, made sure every table was attended to (water, plate clearing, etc.). The food and drinks were absolutely amazing. Creative fusion of cultures in every dish made the experience a memorable, and delicious, one!

    One of the best restaurants that I have ever had the pleasure to dine at. The server was amazing. His knowledge if the menu was very impressive. The food was delicious, fresh and creative. The ambiance was lively as well. You get the feeling that everyone is having a good time. I can't want to come back!

    Smells fishy with a combo of the smell of soured clothes as soon as you walk in the door. Hard to find parking. Had to circle the block a couple times. Big portions, but not a lot of menu options. Expensive for what it is. Will not go back. Fried green tomatoes with crab and Frankly My Dear cocktail was the best part. Ordered an extra dirty martini with dry vermouth. Did not make it dirty, did not add dry vermouth, and the blue cheese olives were frozen. Server was knowledgeable, quick, and friendly!

    We celebrated a friend's birthday over dinner. Our serve Ashley was warm, hospitable and charismatic. She was on point! Chef Calvin was in house and featured phenomenal, flavorful dishes. Best restaurant experience in a long time.

    We had 5:30 reservations we were seated immediately. The restaurant is very quaint, but loud. Our server Louise was exceptional and very knowledgeable. The food and drinks were amazing the presentation was everything. I will definitely be dining here again.

    We enjoyed our meal. The lychee martini was too sweet to my liking but the other drink (name escapes me) we had was good and both were nice and strong. We loved the lobster wontons for our appy-favorite part of the meal. I would rate the lobster fried rice as good, not great. Same with fried grouper prik kingh. Would love to come back sometime and try some other entrees.
