We know the word "fusion" has been wielded about to justify everything from Hula Burgers to Mexican lasagna. But the East-meets-South brand of fusion happening at Poor Calvin's? It's creative; it's innovative; and it's probably unlike anything you've tasted in the ATL. After working in kitchens around the world, Calvin Phan wanted to shake things up a little. And so, into the mac 'n cheese, the Thai spices went. Now, Calvin's giving Southern staples, like sea bass and fried chicken, a decidedly creative Asian-inspired twist (and a nip of spice, too). He has created innovative dishes, approached in much the same way, leave the hands of Calvin Phan day in and day out. His dedication and attention to detail are evident in each dish and dessert. You won't be disappointed.

                                                                          Poor Calvin’s NEVER disappoints!!! It has been several years since I’ve been to PC, but all of the good memories came back. So glad that PC did not skip on quality and customer service. TJ (server) was EXCELLENT, attentive, and provided good information of the food and drinks. I will be back very soon…:)

Two tables, roll of paper towels, get your own soft drinks and enjoy the most amazing ribs, pulled pork and brisket. Then the fabulous, moist and sweet cornbread. Eat here or…bring it home and enjoy a great bbq feast.

                                                                          Visited from Baltimore. Feel like I found the best restaurant in Atlanta (and I really think I did). The food (lobster fried rice and a lamb/lobster special) was 5 star Thailand-Vietnam Michelin level excellent. Our friend/server Louise made us feel like family friends. We skipped traditional dessert to instead have a life changing tutorial on Japanese whiskey at the bar after dinner. Atlanta is amazing but this place alone is worth a trip. And don’t skip the whiskey!
