Ponti Seafood Grill is a Seattle dining scene landmark. It serves a wide range of market fresh fish in its Italianate villa that sits on a cliff overlooking the Fremont bridge. The ingredients are always fresh and include wild-caught seafood and local produce. There is also a full bar and extensive wine list to complement the Ponti Seafood Grills various dishes.
Some of the dishes at Ponti Seafood Grill include fresh albacore tuna tartare, white Gulf prawns, Dungeness crab spring rolls and steamed Penn Cove mussels for starters. The restaurant offers larger plates like grilled Alaska halibut, wild sockeye salmon and English pea risotto.
We are never disappointed when dinning at Ponti - the seafood is always top notch and delicious, beautifully presented and the service is superb!! This past trip we were able to dine outside. The view of the landscape and the water was fabulous and made our dinner experience even better than we had anticipated. While there are so many awesome restaurants in Seattle, Ponti is definitely one of our favorites!!
This was our second time there in as many months. It lived up to and surpassed our expectations . In particular, the calamari is a treat ( much better than anyone else's), and the gulf prawns in the vodka sauce were abundant and flavorful, as was the salmon. We ate indoors (our choice) next to a window and still enjoyed the al fresco experience.
Fresh fish always prepared to perfection. Great presentation and imaginative appetizers. Service is always good. Love it for special occasions and in general.
Great food. Easy parking. Quiet so one can actually carry on a conversation. Consequently a good place to go when you want to catch up with friends.
We had a lovely meal here with a wonderful view of the canal. The salmon I had was one of the best. Very fresh and cooked to perfection. My husband had the scallops and they were just as good. Ponti's also has valet parking for 2.00 which is quite a value for parking as anyone who visits downtown Seattle will soon find out!
Seafood lover's delight. Fantastic, well informed and attentive staff. Our server was a delight; friendly without being overly familiar. quickly responded to a minor complaint which was immediately corrected. A wonderful summer dinner birthday celebration.
the Chocolate dessert was fabulous.
Great staff this time, perfect outside dining
Great location and view- wonderful service- a top Seattle evening!
WE all enjoyed a fabulous mix of seafood dishes!
Took friends too Ponti for dinner. The food was excellent. Server split our salads for us. My friend requested to combine an appetizer with penne pasta for a different entree and our server made sure that was done. The window where our table was looked over the patio and the ship canal, it was a very pleasant evening to spend with childhood friends.
This was our 33rd wedding anniversary dinner. We had a nice Caprese salad, with thinly sliced radishes & heirloom tomatoes nicely presented. The provided bread was delicious, served with olive oil & pesto. My wife had a delicious alder wood-smoked Alaskan black cod, cold-smoked then finished in an oven, served over sushi rice with broccolini. I had the hailbut served over English pea risotto and mushrooms, with blackened asparagus spears, all excellent. For dessert, i had the Three Custards: chocolate pot de creme, marsala-infused creme caramel, and espresso custard. The food was really good, the service slow and inconsistent. The view was not that great. This restaurant could be a great destination with a bit more attention to detail.
A great evening at Ponti's, on one of the two patios. relaxed and long dinner with 7 of us, great wine, a fun and knowledgable sommelier, and perfect food. Boats sliding by under the Fremont bridge, the sun setting as we ate a great dessert. Perfect
We took an guest visiting from San Antonio, Texas with us for dinner and all were very pleasantly treated to tastes of the Northwest on a busy Monday evening. All appetizers, entrees, wine and desserts were fantastic as usual.
When we were seated at Ponti, the server team was not communicating and all over the place, as we were greeted by two different servers. Then we moved to an outside table after getting permission and it took nearly 10 minutes for a third server to notice us. That's pretty embarrassing for a fancier sitdown restaturant. The food was ok, but the risotto I had was fairly bland and lacking a lot of flavor. All in all a pretty poor restaurant experience, especially for a place that seems to pride itself on being a great eating destination.
Wonderful Seattle dining experience on a summer night!
I had made reservations to take my girlfriend here for her birthday. It was an amazing experience. They not only reserved us a table outside (which are normally first come-first serve) but they reserved us the best table with the best view and left us a lovely birthday card. The food was fabulous, the view was awesome and the service impeccable.
Every time we head down to Ponti's, we have an extraordinary meal and love being able to eat on the deck on a lovely evening. Unfortunately, Seattle weather makes the combination of being able to afford the calorie splurge and a warm evening don't always come together. Lucky for me, last night was an exception. It was a fabulous, warm and mild evening, we had a lovely table looking at the water and one fabulous course after another. Our waitress was outstanding - attentive without being intrusive. Perfect! It was worth every weight watcher point, and having a date with my husband at such a romantic place - priceless. I cannot wait to go back for another lovely night.
The food and drink were outstanding, the service friendly, attentive, and helpful, the view spectacular. The Heirloom Tomato salad was wonderful, but the Black Cod should be on everyone's Bucket List.
I can always count on good sometimes great food at Ponti's. The staff is friendly. The tuna, thai curry penne pasta, salmon and halibut dishes are all great.
With nice weather, a view of the bridge and river, our dinner on the patio was just great. We especially enjoyed local brews, the crab spring rolls, Willie Greens salad, Thai Curry Penne and the Alderwood black cod. Tasty seafood with an asian touch. Being from out of town, we were quite pleased to be have found this gem.
