Seafood
Ponti Seafood Grill is a Seattle dining scene landmark. It serves a wide range of market fresh fish in its Italianate villa that sits on a cliff overlooking the Fremont bridge. The ingredients are always fresh and include wild-caught seafood and local produce. There is also a full bar and extensive wine list to complement the Ponti Seafood Grills various dishes. Some of the dishes at Ponti Seafood Grill include fresh albacore tuna tartare, white Gulf prawns, Dungeness crab spring rolls and steamed Penn Cove mussels for starters. The restaurant offers larger plates like grilled Alaska halibut, wild sockeye salmon and English pea risotto.

We chose Ponti's for a small celebration of our 15th wedding anniversary because we knew it would be wonderful--and it was. Love love love the ahi tuna with the tempura coating wrapped with seaweed. Great service, attentive and full of personal character. Excellent ambiance, no matter whether in the main dining room, the bar area or the balcony seating. Plus, thank you to the manager for accommodating us by adding an extra guest at the last minute.

We are devastated that Ponti is closing. They were obviously short staffed for such a busy Monday, so service was a little slow, but the food was amazing. I suspect that the crowd was trying to soak up the last few days before they close. Our ceasar salad was delicious, and my halibut was perfectly prepared. My husband had the chicken, and it was great too. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about the wine list and pairings, and the pinot gris he recommended was a perfect accompaniment to our meal. I've been driving past Ponti since I was a kid, and I wish we hadn't delayed my first trip there to the week they were closing. Best of luck to the owners, and I hope that this is just one big marketing ploy to drive business and they're really staying open forever (PLEASE!!)

Great dinner once again! The seafood was once again our focus for dinners at Ponti on a Friday night out. After the normal appetizers of Dungeness Crab Spring Roles and Grilled Calamari I enjoyed the Thai Curry Penne that is a staple of the menu and an unbeatable combination of diver scallops, Dungeness crab and Penne pasta in a sweet/hot Thai Curry sauce. My companions both chose the White Gulf Prawn Fettucine. We finished the dinner sharing the Moelleux Au Chocolat and coffee. We will very much miss Ponti when the doors close next week but, we have our reservations for one more time next Saturday evening,.

We have wanted to dine here for years, but we live on the Eastside and it has just gotten harder and harder to get downtown. When I saw the closure notice, we had to go. We made it a Father's day dinner and so happy we did. It was a beautiful day, and after strolling Discovery Park, stopped in 45 minutes before our reservation. Not a problem. Got a beautiful table with the Freemont and water view, and even the view of the restaurant was really fun. I can't remember our server's name, but I have a feeling he had worked there for a long time. He had great suggestions. It was hard to pick from such a yummy menu but we knew we wanted seafood. We eat a lot of seafood at home and out, but I have never had dish like the Smoked Black Cod. It was so good, I only wanted to eat half so I could have the rest for lunch the next day (plus saved room for dessert). Everything was perfect! Thank you. We are trying to figure out a day to go back before the closing to try the Brick Chicken!

I will not be using your service for reservations any longer. I have used your service before and specified that I would like a table not in front of doorways, kitchen, waiter station. Well was placed at a table right next to the main entrance to dining area at Ponti's and have been placed at other restaurants in not so nice areas. Do restuarants think that because we used on line reservation service that we are from out of town or do they think people dont care where they sit when they are dining at an expensive restaurant??

Such a classy spot. Always great food. The sauteed calamari appetizer was absolutely delicious, as were all our entrees: the halibut, scallops, and arctic cod. Beautifully prepared and presented. Thank you for seating us at a view table, with a view of the Ponti (Fremont Bridge). It was a special occasion and I'm glad we could celebrate it there.

I was visiting Seattle from DC and came with a friend for my farewell dinner. Sat outside overlooking the ship canal in the early evening and enjoyed watching a nonstop parade of boats returning to the lakes, and several openings of the Fremont Bridge. The food was very good, especially the alderwood smoked black cod, which was melt in your mouth delicious. The halibut was very good too, over asparagus and potato gnocci. It was a tad cool and breezy and the outdoor heat lamps weren't on, but it wasn't too bad.

We chose to go to Ponti Seafood on a whim on an overcast holiday weekend and I was greatly surprised at how great the food was. We ordered oysters to start and they were crisp, light and exceptional. I ordered the New York strip and it was cooked to perfection, as was my husband's salmon. My only complaint was that the steak knife didn't cut well at all and it mangled what was an exceptional piece of steak. The server said all the knives were that dull. Others than that, the service was excellent, the noise level was perfect and the food was outstanding. Highly recommended!

Three of us went on a Monday night at 7 pm; almost no one there which detracted from the ambiance. I had out-of-town guests & we'd had a great meal there when they last were here. I had the lamb shank like I did before...as delicious as I remembered it! One guest felt her salmon was over done but she did not say anything to the waiter. The waiter, when asked about the low diner count, explained Sunday & Monday nights are often slow.

Love this place; another Seattle gem that isn't always over crowded! The crab roll appetizer is fantastic as are all the fish dishes. Having had most of them numerous times I just recently had their chicken dinner that was wonderful.... Bar scene can be vibrant with locals, but it's a nice place to relax with the fireplace. Very friendly and attentive service.

For over twenty five years, Ponti's has been a comfortable, reliable, scenic, and normally quiet place for our casual dining indulgences. A few years back it supplanted Ray's as our go to place for anniversaries and other special occasions. We have yet to have a disappointing meal at Poni's, except, perhaps, for a New Year's eve special. I'd praise it more but for fear of it becoming overly popular.
