Pomona Valley Mining Company Ratings and Reviews
We made our reservation for 2pm and the restaurant was notified that it was our anniversary. But it was only brunch was being served!..it was an absolute mad house, loud and dirty. They did not have enough people to bus tables so tables dirty everywhere. Our waitress would disappear and we had to walk up to the hostess and ask for water.
Been to brunch several times over the years, this time the food was good, but not great. The desserts looked like they were purchased from the local grocery store, very disappointing. The service was great, the bar was extremely loud due to the football game but that is to be expected. We will be back, hopefully just an off day.
An overall great experience. Even though we had reservtions, we had to wait a little while.
Our server was fantastic! We were seated in a packed family room, and she managed it beautifully. She was consistently checking in and filling our glasses. I would definitely come back for brunch!
This was for an anniversary dinner. I asked for a booth with a view and a dessert that they could put happy anniversary on but it’s like they didn’t even read the note that it was a special event for us.
We got a booth but it was far back and there wasn’t much of a view.
I wish they would have read my special requests. I ended up getting engaged that night and this would have made the night even more special.
It's just a nice restaurant with great food and service. The view isn't bad either....it looks over the San Bernardino Fwy (10). I love that you can make reservations and you can go to the bar if you get there prior to your reservation. Whether with friends and with your mate, I recommend eating here. The menu is simple, but delicious. Our server, Garret, was the nicest person with exceptional manners. I hope the next time we visit this restaurant, we have Garret as our server.
We had a great time. A window seat over looming the valley.
Salad bar was fresh.
Prime rib was perfect. And of course the straight horse radish was fresh.
I do not know why. For some reason I had a lesser idea of this place. From the moment we got there everything was perfect. THANK YOU.
My husband and I dined on New Years Eve 2017. We requested window seating for the view and were nicely accommodated. Hubby had salmon and I had baby back ribs and both meals were delicious. I ordered their bread pudding and did not realize that there were walnuts in the sauce that topped it. I took one bite and immediately knew because I am allergic. Our waitress was so concerned and immediately removed the dessert from the table and our bill too. She was amazing!! We’ll be back again soon!!
OUR EXPERIENCE AT PVC WAS WONDERFUL. IT WAS FOR MY BIRTHDAY WHICH IS NEW YEARS EVE BUT WE DON'T GO OUT ON NEW YEARS EVE SO THIS WAS PERFECT & IT IS WHERE WE HAD MY BDAY DINNER LAST YEAR ALSO! OUR SERVER SYLVIA WAS VERY FRIENDLY & EFFICIENT! TY & HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
I've been here once before with a few of my daughters- i chose this time as a christmas gift to my Grandaughters -we got a window seat aa requested & our wait at front was a little delayed for our reservation however everyone was sweet- my Grandaughters were very pleased
for reserving a table for 12 in advance (2weeks) also guarantee it with a credit card you would think that your seating would be in a great area. this was not the case we were seated near a door for service workers to bring in material from the outside. are reservation was at 8pm so it was very cold for are party.
the restaurant was not busy they cold have done a lot better!
Six of us dined here for Brunch and it was great! Service was well-organized and attentive & the food was fresh and tasty. It would be nice if the tables nearest the windows had shade, as it got bright and hot, but it wasn't a deal breaker. Most of all, enjoyed the omelet bar, fresh shrimp, prime rib & crab legs. Loved the range of dish selections, something for everyone. One thing we did not care for the valet parking, but being that it was extra busy (one week before Christmas), I can see why it was in place. Overall, all of us left happy & quite stuffed! :)
The overall experience was great! We had been wanting to go here for some time amd it was definitely a great date night. The food was delicious and the service was great. We are begetarian and the options were perfect. The desserts are amazing too! We shared one piece of the Bourbon bread pudding and had enough to bring home. We will be back!!!
Lobster was delicious as well as my salmon. Sophia our server was one of the worst as we observed two other servers on tables near to us and across. There servers were more attentive and speedy. We informed her that we were celebrating my wife's 55th birthday and she sort of brushed us off. Also had to ask two times for sodas for my wife. Food did come hot. Chicken soup was salty, and maybe there could be a few more items for the salad bar. Cups could be a little larger. The view is incredible which is the most memorable for both of is as was our entrees.
Was the 1st time at Pomona Valley Mining Co for our group of 6. We had a wonderful time. Everything about the place was a pleasant experience from the atmosphere, view, food and the staff were wonderful. I would definatley recommend to others and definitely be a returning customer
