Great food, comfortable, terrific service. Wonderful wine special, Highly recommend
Generous portions and good service! Table for 7,no problem!
My stromboli had a tough crust and no cheese. It was basically hollow inside with the meat and 2 forkfulls of cheese.
Despite mentioning several times that it was my daughter's birthday, not a single person wished her a happy birthday, which I thought was odd. We didn't expect a free dessert, but a nice happy birthday from the hostess or server would have been appropriate.
While I felt the server was adequate, my water was never refilled, there was no knife to cut the bread, and in general, he simply was not attentive.
It's not likely we will be back, just because it felt like a quite dated, older restaurant, and there are other Italian/Greek restaurants with a more attentive waitstaff and more up to date menu offerings with local ingredients and vegan/vegetarian/healthy options.
Good food with both Italian and Greek memu options.
I will give the staffs and the food 5 stars but while we were there I watched the manager walk around and approach everyone just about except for me and my husband and I was feeling some type of way because we were the only un-Caucasians there and that I didn't appreciate . Just a thought they might want to look at that a little closely.
The food was delicious and our server was wonderful!
I highly recommend it. The food was fresh, big portions and properly prepared. Very tasty. The Italian food was as good as the Greek.
The food was fine. As travelers to the area, we were looking for a place to eat in East Asheville. Pomodoro's fit the bill. I had the fish special topped over mashed potatoes and it was well prepared. My companion has the chicken marsala and it was a good value. We took advantage of the 1/2 price bottle of wine. Recommended by our server, the baklavah ice cream was delicious.
Had a good extended family lunch. Food was fine but unexceptionable. Service very good.
Great waitress! Good bread. Pizza good and salads very good!
Pretty average considering the reviews. The food was not great but the service was good.
Overall we were disappointed.
The food was delicious! The mussels and bruchetta appetizers were among the best I have ever had, and the pizza and calzone we ordered were also very good. Given that Greek is in the name, I was disappointed there wasnt more Greek cuisine on the menu.
Food is always good. I had veal parmigiana and it was excellent. Service was excellent.
Excellent service, wide food choices, some daily specials. Nice Mediterranean choices.
This was our third time at this great little neighborhood Greek/Italian restaurant. This was our third great meal. Our server was friendly and attentive. While the location is not in the downtown area, the prices also are reflective of that as well. Will definitely be back for #4!
Pomodoros has undergone an much needed renovation. The restaurant is newly spiffed up with new seat upholstery and carpeting. Well done! Food and service is very good. Sunday brunch has the right “stuff”,something for everyone from sweet to savory to the classic Benedict’s. Glad we returned.
Waitress absolutely awesome very a 10 of knew what she was doing knew the menu she was perfect
For an Italian/Greek restaurant, the bread was NOT good. I expect a much more authentic bread! The olive oil was a nice touch, but just not a good start! I saw a nearby table receive the saganaki, and again, then pita that arrived with it looked like it came from Ingles. So glad we didn't order it!
Otherwise, the food was OK. I am not sure I would recommend it to anyone simply because a good Mediterranean restaurant has GOOD bread! They need to get a real baker in there!
10/13/17 our grandsons 3rd. Birthday.
Their Tuesday night pasta menu is fabulous...the best deal in town. Yum!
Excellent pasta dishes. The lasagna was amazing as was the sausage and peppers over spaghetti.
I took my girlfriend there to celebrate her birthday. The special that day was shrimp gyros and they were delicious! Our server was so attentive and very sweet.
Hate to say but was overall disappointed. Food was mixed - some good some not. Server was nice and attentive but could tell not knowledgeable of menu. Don't think I will be returning.
The Ambiance of this restaurant has a special way of making one feel special. The food and service was excellent. Highly recommended.
Good meal for the value. Noise level was high but that was due to an event that involved quite a few young males with their mothers. Noise level has always been acceptable in the past.
Not a bad place, but hardly merits the many excellent reviews. I had salmon, which was overcooked (despite my specifically asking waitress to beg the chef not to do so since that is such a common mistake), risotto that was cold and lumpy and not very tasty, spouse had mushroom ravioli with an overwhelming red sauce (and the waitress didn't know what the sauce alternatives were - had to ask - really?) which she found distinctly underwhelming. In sum, not a wretched experience, but overpriced and not better than okay.
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant, attentive staff, delicious food...one of my favorite places.
Tried the linguine and clams - very watery and almost tasteless. Friend tried the pork "soulvalki" and stated that the meat was overcooked, i.e., dry. Bread and herbed olive oil is pretty good. Wine selection is so-so.
Our first visit to Pomodoros Greek and Italian Cafe-East but a place we would return to. food was very good, I had seared scallops over a vegetable infused rosuto, and my wife had manicotti with cheese and other sauces. Wine was very good and a great selection to choose from. The house baked bread was very nice too. Wwe will look forward to eating here again next time in Asheville.
Excellent authentic Italian/Greek food. This was a requested place to go, three of the our had never been there before, but all will be returning.
Never fails to be wonderful in every way. Food is excellent and brought out hot and presented beautifully. Love their chicken piccata. Service is friendly, knowledgeable and never hovering! If you want to be happy and smile, eat at Pomodoras.
Food, service and price were all great
Consistently 😊 good
This is just an average restaurant--nothing special--and I could have made a better dinner at home. The "wild" salmon was over cooked, dry, and thin. The risotto was one sticky mound of starch. If the olive oil I buy comes in a dark glass bottle with instructions to keep it in a dark place to prevent oxidation, why does this restaurant have clear glass bottles of olive oil sitting in sunlight? This is not a fine dining restaurant.
Sunday Brunch was a nice change. We had the Baklava French Toast with eggs a bit of fruit. Nice choice but beware the syrup which is served along side. It is a super sweet watery thin stuff that is nothing like maple syrup, not even the fake kind.
There were only two waitstaff to cover the whole restaurant. Felt sorry for them. The restaurant needs to reupholster the booths and refinish the table tops. It's looking very shabby these days.
Wanted an interesting place for brunch. Saw the baklava French toast and was intrigued. It was regular French toast with a pinch of baklava crumbs sprinkled on the top. I really do mean a pinch! The coffee was horrible. The place itself is run down and dirty. The seats were cracked plastic. There were cob webs hanging down the window. The salt and pepper shakers were grimy.
Just pass on this one.
Celebrated Mother's Day at Pomodoros. Wonderful Sunday Brunch with many reasonably priced, tasty options. Attentive service. Will definitely return again!
My wife and I had a wonderful Mother's Day brunch at Pomodoros. The food and service were exceptional, as usual.
Wide variety of pasta dishes, with pizza and salads too. Food was salty but generally good. Seemed short staffed, which negatively affected response times from wait staff.
