Pomodoro Ristorante and Pizzeria Ratings and Reviews
The food here is very consistently good, the service is spot on, and the owner always takes the time to say hello. The fruits and vegetables come from a local garden (when available), and the prices are more than fair for the quality of the food. And the food portions are very generous. Overall, this place is a local gem.
The food was terrific with plenty to choose from on the menu plus specials. Service was excellent. Water and bread for the table. BYOB and great prices make it a very affordable night out. A great dinner. The restaurant is a pizza place with a dining room on the side, nothing fancy but great food.
The menu is everything you would find at a good Italian restaurant. I didn't order the pizza, but a lot of tables around me did and it looked great. I had the pasta special and it was really tasty. I had enough to take home and have for lunch the next day. :)
We went to this restaurant based on a web site search. Overall, it was good, we were there on a Sunday night at 6pm. One side was pizza/fast food and the other side was the dining room. They did use cloth linens and there was only one other couple in the dining room during our visit. There really is not any ambiance and parking is a challenge, as we parked on the street and filled the meter.
Got the daily homemade pasta and it was absolutely amazing. It's a bring your own wine kind of place, but the wine store on the same block had a great selection and very knowledgable staff. Would definitely revisit when I'm back in the area. Jules was the perfect and personable server and steered us right in our choices.
Another delicious dining experience. Our party of six were having diner before attending the
Mayo Performing Arts Center. We all selected different entrees and everyone enjoyed their
food. It is BYOB. I think this is a hidden gem in Morristown and hope it doesn't get too popular.
They also serve great pizza and my husband loves their sausage. The owner or co-owner Ori is a warm & welcoming presence when he is there.
I was pleasantly surprised when we tried Pomodoro. We tend to stick to restaurants on South Street, but I would say this place is a hidden gem. The freshly made rolls were warm and delicious to start. Their entrees were quite delicious. Their marinara sauce made we want to eat it in spoonfuls it was so good. I will definitely go back!!
This was the first time here and the food was spectacular. The balsamic glaze on the caprise salad was to die for. We all had different dishes and no one was disappointed
The staff are extremely pleasent and will try to get you whatever you want. Large portions, Definately worth a try.
Excellent addition to Morristown and entire North-Central New Jersey dining scene. Since Pomodoro opened over a year ago, the quality of everything that has gone into the entire operation has consistently improved on a regular basis. I haven't had the pizza in some time (which was always New York style and quality with great sauce and cheese), but the entrees are as good as any 5 Star Southern Italian spot. Portions are huge and they will do whatever you want here. The owner Ori and his team, will do anything to please. When in the beautiful and thoughtful dining room in the back, you totally forgot that you entered through a pizza restaurant. Kudos to Pomodoro! Keep it up.
When we arrived, we were a bit taken aback that we could not be served pizza in the dining area (only personal size was served in the dining area), and the "pizza" area was outfitted with basic formica tables and chairs. So, we opted to dine in the dining room. It is small and very nice - you would never know that there is a pizza takeout area adjoining it. When we arrived, there were just a couple of tables occupied, but by the time we left the place was full. The food was really great! I had a shrimp fra diavolo and the sauce was wonderful. My companions also really enjoyed their meals. The service was excellent. Would I return? Most definitely!
