Everything about dining at Pomodoro East was very good. Our server was a bit slow when it came time to deliver our check, but otherwise he was very good as our server.
Amazing as always! Never disappoints. Great food!
Great happy hour. The pizza & mussels were great, & Stephen was a great server & a lot of fun. We’ll definitely be back!
Overall this was a underwhelming experience. But with that being said, we agreed we would go back for happy hour for great wine prices and try the flatbread pizzas next time.
We had made a reservation for 5:45pm, because Covid, and when we arrived the host and who I assume was a manager of sorts were looking at the tables and then told is that the table in the dining room we were to be seated at had a reservation for 7pm and if we could be done by then they'd seat us in the dining room. So bizarre, but we agreed.
We then got the Mozzarella en Carozza for an appetizer. It was not good and we let our waitress know that politely we didnt like it. Then we asked for some bread in the hopes it could take the funky taste from our appetizer out of our mouth. The focaccia bread also had a strange flavor, almost sweet. Just strange.
Now our entrees were quite delicious!! We had the chicken parmigiana and the lasagna. The flavor was amazing but seemed over priced personally.
Overall it was an underwhelming/overpriced experience.
We probably spent an hour looking through restaurants on OpenTable for dinner. What was most important to us was the $-$$$$ rating and the menu. We finally decided on Pomodoro and away we went. We already had our meals picked out from their menu before we got there. Once sat, we found out they had changed their menu the week before and different versions of what we wanted were available, but the not the actual meals. Our server was the bar tender that night and she was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and even helped us switch out a sauce on a meal for my boyfriend, and explained other entrees to me. I went with an Italian margarita as my drink, and was pleasantly surprised with how good it was, as I like the standard lime flavor usually. We did the warm olives as a starter (yum) and I got a truffle pizza(minus the arugula). It was new to the menu and another stretch for me. It was the best pizza I've ever had. Hands down. This place is wonderful. Highly recommend.
We went in for an impromptu dinner because I just HAD to get out of the house. They did a great job with COVID protocols and my boyfriend and I felt safe the whole time we were dining. Randi was our server and she was so friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. We had the cavatappi pasta as an appetizer and it was so good we ordered more for dinner! Warm chocolate cake is a MUST!
Excellent food and fast service!
Fantastic food and atmosphere, gorgeous patio and very dog friendly!
Birthday celebration- excellent food and service.
Service was the best I’ve had in forever. Randi is the heat. Main courses excellent. Cannoli was eh.
Outstanding service! Consistently a go to for safe patio ding, great good and drinks!
One pizza (Fig and Pig) and one cocktail were outstanding. The other pizza and cocktail were quite lackluster. Service was very slow, but servers were very kind. Inside restaurant was super dim at night.
It’s one of our favorite places! We’ll keep going back.
Our server was absolutely incredible! She stopped and chatted with all of her tables multiple times and made it a great experience!
Service was great !!!!
The food was very good. The service was even better. J J. (Bar Manager)
was fantastic and so knowledgeable. She was really friendly.. Our food was so good. The Lasagna was so fresh and delicious. The ravioli was really good. It was just as good a couple of days later. I enjoyed my entire visit to Pomodoro East. Definitely will return.
Great food. Sizable portions. A nice date night option.
Pomodoro East is one of our favorites. Have not been back since the beginning of the year due to COVID. Great experience on the patio. Food was great. Server Kaitlin was full of positive energy. A great time. Looking forward to the next visit.
We had happy hour on the deck which was a great experience. The apps are very good. The fig and pig pizza is our favorite.
Great location, service, and ambiance! The pizza was slightly cold when it came out and not as crispy as my husband and I prefer for wood fired pizza. Also, a little too heavy on the cheese. However, great wines to choose from and a very cozy atmosphere!
It was a birthday celebration evening. We ordered 3 small plates during happy hour- all delicious. We had 5 different entrees- each one was perfect! Service was great, food was delicious, etc. overall a fun time ! Atmosphere was great, too!
Chicken Parmesan and “Fig and Pig” Pizza are our favorites!
Service was courteous and prompt. Food and drinks are priced accordingly. The deck/patio is a good mention.
I brought my family here and they absolutely loved it! My aunt got the mussels and absolutely adored them.
My family was shocked by how much food we got and the quality. We were very happy and will happily recommend Pomodoro East.
My girlfriend and I booked this place because we always eat at an Italian restaurant on every trip and compare. I wasn’t initially impressed with the ambiance and small menu. I was sure it wasn’t going to be good. I was so wrong. The fried mozzarella was a very interesting take on the traditional plate. It was more like a savory pastry. And when paired with the tapenade and lemon butter, it was and out of this world experience for my tastebuds. For my entree, I had the cheese stuffed ravioli with Italian sausage and mushroom cream sauce. Incredible would be an understatement. The flavors were all so complimentary of one another, with none of them taking the lead role. It was an extremely well balanced dish that was truly mind blowing. I was beyond impressed. Our waiter, Steven was fantastic. He was very kind and has clearly perfected his craft. I heaped as much praise on him as I could. All in all, I would say that Pomodoro East is a place you HAVE to try. Give it a chance, and I promise you, you will not be disappointed.
Always a wonderful time with amazing food and service! You can’t go wrong!
What a wonderful gem! We had a great time - the outdoor patio/deck area is beautiful and the service is tops. The food was a delight as well. Looking forward to returning!
I had been wanting to try Pomodoro East for a couple of years now. The experience was great. We sat on the outdoor patio and it was very comfortable. The warm marinated olives were fantastic. We also shared steamed mussels as a starter and they were very good. The wood fired pizza was good but not near the best in Nashville. The absolute best dish however was the Lemon Artichoke Fettuccine. This was one of the best Italian pasta entree's I have had anywhere in the country. The atmosphere was great, as were the cocktails. We hate that we waited so long to try this place but will be returning sooner than later.
THE ARTICHOKE PASTA WAS FANTASTIC. WE TRIED THE NEW COCKTAILS AND THEY WERE NOT ANYTHING FANCY FOR THE PRICED WE PAID.
Great food, atmosphere and service!
Wonderful evening on the patio. Caitlin took great care of us.
Very enjoyable. Food was good well as the service. Although we dined inside the outdoor area looked very nice. Would go back
Dinner was excellent. Cheese plate excellent starter as well.
Everything we had was great - the "fig and pig" pizza (prosciutto and fig), the buffalo cauliflower and the chicken parmesan. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Prices were very reasonable We will definitely go back!
Our group stopped by while visiting East Nashville, and had a really enjoyable experience. Some of the dishes we enjoyed were spinach salad (unexpectedly split into two plates on request), calamari (one of the best presentations I've enjoyed), buffalo cauliflower (perfectly cooked), wood fired pizza (tasted good, but needed a hotter oven and thinner crust to get that real wood fired taste), ravioli (lovely mushroom sauce), and spaghetti. Prices were very reasonable, and would certainly return.
The calamari was just ok. Everything else was very tasty. Nice and friendly staff
Staff was exceptional. Very pleasant experience.
Not bad, but not that good either. Service was friendly, but inexperienced. Best thing we ate was the cheese and charcuterie board. Lemon drop martini was way off- seemed to be vodka and sour mix. The rest of the food was just ok, not good enough to justify the prices. I didn’t dislike it, but there are several better options nearby in the same price range.
Went to Pomodoro’s East 2 days in a row. 1st night made it in time for happy hour. Had some good drinks and a pepperoni flat bread all discounted also had two very good entrees, the bartender was our server as we sat in bar area.
Was in to for business and our group was looking for somewhere to go for dinner since we had an excellent experience the previous evening suggested to go here again. There were 10 this time. Appetizers entrees drinks and desserts. All came out in timely manner and was accurate. Server was excellent she took excellent care and made sure everyone was happy. Would go back if I was in Nashville.
