Pomo Cucina & Pizzeria
Our go to Italian pizza spot in Scottsdale. Always pleasant
Great service, atmosphere, and food! Love the patio seating when the weather is cooperating.
They first led us (2 men) to a vey small deuce .... probably the worst table in the house . We refused the table . After a change to a booth, we were fine.
We are visiting from oot and loved POMO for both pizza & pasta! Request to sit outside what a treat! They accommodated our allergies very well too!
Pizza is authentic and delicious.
The atmosphere is really welcoming and we loved the design.
You’ve got to get gelato while you’re there. The pizza and gelato are a hell of a 1 2 punch.
Our service was lacking.
No napkins given to us. Asked for straws a few times.
Overall we loved it and will surely be back
We’ve rated at Pomo many times and have consistent experiences with good food and good service. Our server this time, Melinda, was excellent — she provided wonderful, personalized service, was pleasant and really on top of her game.
LAST TIME I ORDER SOME TYPE OF CHICKEN DISH INSTEAD OF PIZZA
RECOOK CHICKEN BREAST INTO A SANDWICH... HORRIBLE... WAS LIKE RUBBER
We sat at the bar for dinner and at one point, my husband took a drink of his ice water and felt something hard in his mouth. It turned out to be a sliver of glass! When he shared it with the bartender, all she said was “I’m sorry about that. I’ll get you another glass of water.” We didn’t make a big deal about it at the time, but the more I thought about it while we ate dinner, the more I realized that if he had swallowed the piece of glass, he could have ended up in the ER, or worse! The management never said boo to us about it, which shows a complete lack of concern for their customers. We just paid the bill and left. I will not be going back. Very scary and very grateful it didn’t end up as a worse situation.
Never get tired of the choices on the menu. Although I do hit the Classical Bruchette almost every time.
Quality and taste are always at the highest level..
Filthy plates - smeared with finger prints. Had to send back 2 entrees to be replaced for this reason, came back half potion. Kid’s meal was described as pasta in cheese sauce. It came swimming in oil. No cheese. Their explanation was: oh you have to ask for the cheese because we find kids don’t really like fresh cheese too much. They obviously want to spare the use of fresh cheese as the only Parmesan offered was processed in a shaker with salt and pepper.
Great to hear the oohs and aahs when a friend tries your food for the first time. Never fails to bring a smile to our faces as we know they will return.
Will be there again tonight and tomorrow. Loyal we are!!

Both the pasta and pizza were great. Our waiter seemed very informed, but a bit aloof, probably because it was late on a Sunday evening at the end of a long day. Didn't spoil our fun at all, we'll be back soon!
We were in vacation and I booked this based on the reviews. I found it average and not worth going out of my way. The lasagna was not very good but the pizza was delicious.
Super neighborhood Italian with delicious brick oven pizza. Go. Enjoy. Repeat.
We couldn't have been more THRILLED with our recent experience at Pomo. Our party of 10+ was seated outside for a lovely dinner celebrating a special occasion. Our servers were extremely attentive and glasses were full all night. Appetizers for the table came out swiftly and a mix of different entrees came out at the same time so everyone could eat together. We served special gender-reveal cupcakes at the end of dinner and Pomo was extremely accommodating. My fiance and I love coming to Pomo and our experience is exactly why we chose this restaurant to host a special night for us! Thank you, Pomo :)
Pizza was great. The pasta is a must. A little disappointed we had to ask for real parmesan for the salads.
Sat outside at 2 person table that was way too close to adjacent tables. The guys at adjacent table asked if we just wanted to join them. Listened intently to their conversation the whole time there as I had no other choice. Got their very thin crust pizza ...crust rim was great but rest of crust floppy with out of can mushrooms (expected more from this place)
Everyone enjoyed their meal and beverages and topped it off with the terrific Gelato from next door!
The perfect Italian Pizza restaurant. In addition to the pizza, and pasta, the sandwiches made with the Pizza dough is a winner. Great for lunch or dinner.
Pizza was delicious - recommend having the thicker crust one, cooked a bit longer than normal, so the bottom was more crisp. Our seat neighbor recommended that and they were right.
Best Italian food in Scottsdale. We got the burrata, pizza, and Italian sausage pasta. Bottle of the Chianti was so smooth and perfect with our dinner. Best tirmusu too!
We took two friends with us who had not been to Pomo. They ordered my favorite Lasagna and I thought I would try the penne pasta with sausage for the first time. It was ok but I wished I had ordered the lasagna.
Overall our experience was good. I think they may have been a bit short staffed because our service was slower towards the end of our meal.
For dessert we had Gelato and Creme brûlée. The gelato was awesome as always but the Creme brûlée seemed a bit bland to me. However, our friends really enjoyed it.
It’s still one of our favorite places.
Hooray! New menu features the fabulous Gramigna Boscaiola!! It is one of the AZ Republic critic's favorite 2018 dishes. Before Gramigna was an infrequent special--now it is a regular menu item. Highly recommended. Of course, the service and value is also excellent. Thanks Stefano for your menu change.
The pizza is always consistent-excellent. The carpaccio salad was especially good tonight. Always a busy place
Our waitress Davey was incredible and the food was outstanding
Server was very sweet, but not skilled regarding service in the environment you are creating. Left empty wine glasses w/o offer another glass....we had to ask for dessert....brought double espresso w/o sugar or lemon...but ask if we wanted cream or sugar; like it was a cup of coffee. Not the experience we are accustomed to at Pomo.
We changed our reservation from 11 people to 17 an hour before we were booked and the staff at Pomo could not have been more accommodating! The food was fantastic and our extremely large group was served entrees all at the same time. Service was excellent and the gelato at the end of the meal seriously made me feel like I was back in Milan! Pomo we will be back!!
The food was good, but the ambiance was horrible. It was noisy, crowded, and cold. Even with a reservation, they couldn't seat us promptly or at a comfortable table. We ended up outside, and our heater went out. On top of that, they seemed to be understaffed and the service was poor. For instance, we waited over 10 minutes just to get a glass of water!
Food was Delicious. There was no room in the main restaurant so we sat in adjacent dining room.
We were seated on the heated patio on a cool night - it was very pleasant. Service was great and good was delicious. The pasta & fagioli soup is filling and tasty and the pizza is of course incredible.
Great for more casual dining or for an event or group.
Nice place to meet friends and visit. $$
Great food service and experience.
I came here with my husband for dinner. The pizza was amazing but our waiter was okay. They were packed so he probably had a lot of tables to take care of but he also never refilled our waters the whole meal. It also took him awhile to get to our table for us to place an order. I’d come back but maybe when they’re not busy so we’d actually be taken care of.
Always great food at Pomo!! We had the lasagna, thin crust pizzas and a Rimini pizza. Plus a ceasar salad.
We've been eating with you since you were at the Borgatta. As a suggestion please get salad serving utensils. Two forks DONT work well.
We love Pomo and come every time we are in Scottsdale.
Don't overorder, the portions are large.
Their pizza is excellent, and so is the pasta. Hard to go wrong.
I'm surprised this restaurant was recommended to us. It was the most mediocre Italian food we have found in Scottsdale, which for the most part has been excellent.
The Kale salad had more romaine that kale. Barely any kale.
The porcino mushroom pizza had barely any mushrooms.
The pizza dough was a little too doughy.
The atmosphere is ok, but seating is close together and loud as well as there are almost no booths which we prefer.
Wonderful staff and comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. I’ll definitely be returning.
Gwenavere at the bar was awesome! Appetizer and pizza were to die for and wine was excellent!!!
Pomo is an excellent Italian restaurant and pizzeria with a lively and fun atmosphere which also serves amazing food. It has a wonderful outside dining area. It was uncharacteristically cool when we visited last time (February 13), but we were still able to sit outside since it's heated. We had the bolognaise, lasagna, and Caesar salad, all of which was delicious.
