This is my favorite pizza place for many years now.
Pizza came before appetizer was done. Pizza was soggy and cold. Crust was spongy.
Excellent food. I was with some friends from Europe, who are quite demanding concerning CUISINE... and everyone enjoyed their dishes.
congratulations to the Chef !
This was our first time dining at Pomo, although we had pizza at a restaurant in Prescott, AZ made by the person who started the restaurant. We began with a buratta appetizer, which was very good, especially the accompanying red sauce. For the entrees we had the porcini pizza and the squid ink pasta with salmon. Both were well made and we had a couple slices of the pizza to bring home. Dessert was tiramisu, a large portion. We also had a very good bottle of Sargrentino from Umbria to compliment the meal. We would definitely return to Pomo. Good food and an extensive wine list.
This is a busy vibrant spot. Great menu with a lot of variety. Very nice evening!
Pizza always good. But the homemade pasta still the best!
Will continue to frequent Pomo!
Had an incredibly soggy pizza. Pasta was undercooked. Service was great.
Amazing pizza and pasta! Best in Scottsdale!
Great experience as always!
Great dinner with delicious food excellent service and ambience.
A very favorite stop when in town! The food is great! Great service! Love it!
Had a 7:30 reservation but was seated closer to 8. Think we were totally forgotten about as we the staff scrambled and wound up seating us next to the ice cream bar.
Mediocre across the board :( pizza was wet and soggy. Both appetizers and drinks came out after entrees :(
The reception area is extremely not organized. We had a reservation at seven and they finally sat us at 7:45. Extremely noisy would not recommend it unless you had a dozen kids and you just wanted to let them run wild.
Underwhelming. Pizza crust good. Piizza
taste bland. Pretty patio. Good service.
Excellent outdoor dining with superior service.
We’ve been to Pomo numerous times and love it. My only small complaint this time is the outside chairs. They are so awkward, I felt like I was sliding out.
The quality of the food was obviously superior. The pizza was described, on the menu, as thin and crispy. The edges were crispy but the rest of the pizza was soggy like a wet and floppy flour tortilla.
The service was very, very good.
We had 3 people in our party and showed up 10 minutes early for our reservation (early reservation at 6:00). There were four people at the hostess stand who seemed irritated to have to help us. I checked in for the reservation and asked to be seated inside (there were literally only two tables inside that had people sitting in them). They said they didn't know if they could seat us inside. Then, they went back to looking at a video on a phone and laughing. They told us to wait- again, tons of set tables were open. Then, two people came in for a walk in and were seated before us. We waited for about 15 minutes to be seated in an empty restaurant. Once we were seated, our server was great- he said he had been working there for 2 years- he was knowledgeable, helpful and efficient. We had some calamari that was mediocre, a bottle of wine, and two pizzas. The red sauce pizza was delicious.
Not my first time, definitely not my last, i love the food here, nice wine list and awesome Negroni
Nice patio and good food. We were sorry to see the one in Glendale close.
We made last minute dinner plans on a Monday while in town on vacation and really enjoyed our time. We were on an anniversary trip, and our server, Alex, ensured it was special with a celebratory dessert, a great wine recommendation and helping us decide how much to order. And she was kind and funny to boot. The restaurant is super cute, great vibe and decor. It was much more happening than we thought it'd be for a Monday night, but not crowded. We easily got an open table reservation right before we headed over. Definitely a nice, yummy meal, (especially the indulgent chocolate hazelnut dessert and the eggplant parm appetizer!) with a great vibe. If we'd not been so full we might have even tried the gelato at the attached gelateria they have! Definitely worth going while you're on vacation in Scottsdale, or if you're a local!
Not easy to serve a party of 8 plus a baby. Great job, food, service as always. We love Pomo!
Very poor service. On this occasion. We had to “chase” servers for water and drinks. In addition, menu items have been modified. Skimpy dishes as compared to prior visits. But they are willing to add the deleted items for an extra charge!
Are they cutting costs or going through financial difficulties? That’s the impression.
I had crispy pizza with white sauce mushrooms and sausage. White sauce was a bit of melted cheese. Not enough. Measly amount of sausage and mushrooms. Pizza soggy in the middle. Disappointing.
The pizza was delicious. I sat at the pizza oven bar and it was wonderful. The two staff members making the pizza were very engaged with there work and even made sure the patrons watching them were greeted and taken care of It was obvious that they really enjoyed what they were doing.
The only critic I have is it took a long time to get the glass of wine I ordered. It came after my meal arrived. The server was not very attentive.
Had requested outdoor seating but was seated indoors, notified waitress and hostess that it was our sons 7th birthday which wasn’t acknowledged. Not looking for a free be just a simple happy birthday. Disappointed.
Great service and food.
We had a larger group celebrating a birthday. Table was ready when we arrived. Service was fast and food was really good. I will definitely be back!
Everything was nearly perfect. They need new outdoor seating. The chairs on the patio were uncomfortable. Other than that, no complaints.
always an excellent environment for any occasion. great food, great service, great ambiance.
Our waitress was in a hurry to turn our table from the moment I arrived! I arrived before my two friends -they struggled with parking. The waitress literally came by 3 times asking me if I wanted to order and get something started.
While we were eating she tried to clear our plates twice and was asking if we were ready for the check (interrupting our conversation). She even came by and looked to see if we’d paid yet.
The food is always great and usually the service is too. I’m not sure what was going on with our waitress - but she sure did make our experience unpleasant.
Excellent! Real Italian. Homemade pasta. If you like Olive Garden go there. Stay away from Pomo. This is real food with incredible recipes. Great job!
Love the pizza, Stefano!
Warning. Not a very good operator at this location. Our first visit here after having been to the downtown Phoenix location. Awful customer experience. Will not return
I don’t normally take time to do this however....our cumulative experience here last night has to be made known. Barely acknowledged when arriving at the host(ess) desk. Felt like I was imposing on them to interrupt their meeting. Once finally seated 10 min after our reserved time we waited another 10 min for a server to come to the table. Waited a good 25 minutes for 3 appetizers to come out. Completely Ignored by staff during this time. No visit from server or to see if we wanted another drink. Had to raise my hand to get anyone to come to table. Had to request a second glass of wine. The only thing that was efficient was how fast the server plopped the check down once we informed we weren’t ordering desert.
Our go to Italian pizza spot in Scottsdale. Always pleasant
Great service, atmosphere, and food! Love the patio seating when the weather is cooperating.
