Great French/Belgian food at reasonable prices. This restaurant has the best escargot and onion soup in the valley!

This restaurant specializes in French - Belgium food. All, house made. Try the mixed appetizer of meat and pates with house country pate and gherkins. Of course you must have some pomp frits. They are fried at 2 different temperatures so they puff. They are served European style with spiced dipping sauces.
The chicken vol-au-vent is a great choice as are the clams served in many variations.

The chocolate mousse is beyond description. Try it, You'll ascend into gourmet heaven.

Belgian beers and desserts are the stars! Main dishes are delicious and well presented. Can recommend the hanger steak and the vol au vent. Onion soup is a very light version of the dish. We enjoyed our meal very much and recommended it to a group outside who were contemplating whether to try it - they did!

Arrived and was seated immediately by the hostess and greeted by our server Nicole.
We were given menus's and the daily specials, which were also told to us verbally.

The atmosphere was nice ( for the 1st. part of the meal) but you never know when a couple of loud talkers will come in and just go on a rant about things that should've stayed at home or in the car. Luckily it had no involvement with our appetizer, entree's or desserts.

Steak Frittes was lovely, cooked as ordered, the mussels on the half shell au gratin with bleu cheese cream were delicious! My dining partner had the steak tartare and coq Au Vent which looked amazing as well and he finished up, so that says alot right there. The dessert just as good, get the sampler with 3 different items - A real treat!

It can get noisy there as the rooms are small. The food is good but not amazing. My friend had the escargot and loved them. The tomato gazpacho was missing an extra ingredient, it was bland.
The desserts are great and last visit had the mussels which were very good.
I like the menu and Service was good.

An interesting menu (particularly for Palm Springs). However there was great variance in the food - some dishes are very good, unique and tasty; others are lackluster and oddly seasoned.

Hard liquor drinks are poor - very, very weak and grossly over priced. Also selection is very limited. Stick to the wine!

Only one waiter for the entire restaurant that was 100% booked. Though he was efficient, friendly and helpful - the restaurant could use another waiter..

Pomme Frite is one of our (many) favorites in Palm Springs. The staff is hard-working and pleasant, the food is unique (best beef tartare in town!), and one of the best collections of Belgian beers on offer. Like many of other other local favorites, we get there as often as we can, and we're always eager to go (and happy we went)!

The food was overpriced for average food. I got two meatballs for 25 dollars. Not the best. The service and the ambiance was cool. I feel the ratings for this place was higher and swayed me into going to this place.

We always enjoy coming to Pomme Frite for special occasions and just for fun nights out. The service is always excellent and the food is wonderful. We recommend the duck pate' with charcuterie platter and the coq au vin. The Belgian dark chocolate mousse was great! We have patronized this restaurant many times and we are never disappointed. I was lucky enough to be in Palm Springs for restaurant Week. My dining experience at Pomme Frite was the best by far. Excellent value, excellent food, excellent ambiance, and excellent service. The food was fresh, authentic, and classic Belgium/French. My favorites were the mussels and fries, although the steak wasn't bad either! Highly recommended.

This was our first tie at Pomme Frite and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was authentic Belgian cuisine and very well prepared. The special "Restaurant Week" menu was a good value and gave us an idea of what the kitchen can do. We will certainly visit this spot again in the near future. Great Belgian beer selection!

The service was extremely slow. We were seated fo about 30 minutes before our drinks or water was served. They seemed short handed on staff, but the owner was the host and should have assisted , at least with water. He was not otherwise occupied. That being said, the entire meal was outstanding, from the appetizer of beets Napoleon, to the dessert of crepes Suzette.
