Pomegranate on Main
Great food - packed with flavor. Fantastic service. We wanted an unrushed dinner and it was perfect.
They do not cater to food allergies. The food was not worth the cost.
Always delivers a consistently good experience.
Fabulous as always. Best restaurant in downtown Greenville by far.
Had my birthday lunch there. Food was delicious and fresh. They served the best coconut cream pie I have ever had.
We enjoyed our dinner for four. The pomegranate martini was great, and so were the chicken kebabs and jasmine rice. Did not try desserts, perhaps another time. Definitely recommend this place for those who want to try Persian cuisine.
Dined here for the first time the other night. Great atmosphere, very good service. We had the tasting menu and tried a little of everything. Cranberry rice was my favorite! The hummus appetizer was also delicious. Highly recommend! Wish we had room for their dessert, maybe next time!
Nice place in a good location with great vegan options so kudos for that. However, my veggie kabobs were raw then burned on the edges. I’m ok with charting as long as the veggies are somewhat cooked otherwise. My husband’s lamb was very over cooked as well as his rice... mushy. I detected no seasoning to the veggies or rice for my meal. Disappointing especially for Persian cuisine. Also the pita bread served with our hummus appetizer seemed stale. It was hard and chewy, not what we’re are accustomed to for this type of cuisine. It’s difficult to find a restaurant offering vegan options so I was disappointed that we have to mark this place off of our list of choices. The live music was great tho.
Tony was great!
I always enjoy the food. Unfortunately my friends card was double charged and she didn't notice until she checked her account! She was very upset. These things happen...but I had suggested the restaurant to her, so I felt bad for this first time experience for her.
Food was not spiced as it usually is. Almost bland.
Chocolate cake was great! Server was very good!
I have been going to Pomegranate on Main since it opened! It's one of our favorite Greenville places, always on the list for special occasions with our family.
If you want authentic Persian food, this is where you get it. The owners have taken great strides to provide an amazingly authentic atmosphere, down to decorations from Iran.
Never less than total satisfaction, always fun!
Service and food was good. The waiter had a hint of “BO”.....kind of an earthy, granola type guy. Other than the occasional whiff, the experience was good.
We love this beautiful healthy restaurant. It is consistently wonderful.
If you like the taste of pomegranate, check out the pomegranate and walnut stew.
Excellent food and service.
Our server, Brian, was extremely knowledgable and accommodating. It was my parents' first experience there and they were very impressed and loved the food. Love the atmosphere and menu selection!
What a wonderful evening. Food with depth and layers of flavor. We had the Persian experience that starts with 2 pita spreads, the spinach and roasted eggplant were to die for, then kabobs and roasted tomato. Also had the Persian breakfast, flavors I wouldn't have paired, but were fabulous together. Ended the meal with hot sweet tea. The waitstaff was knowledgeable friendly and helpful. All in all, a wonderful experience.
Great as always. Owner and manager make a point of going to each table to make sure everything is as it should be.
First visit to a Persian restaurant, leaving me wonder why we've waited so long. The restaurant is wonderful with gracious hosts explaining the courses and spice usage. Food is excellently prepared with just the right amount of char. And, as weird as it sounds, don't fail to try the pomegranate ice cream. Great experience.
Nice atmosphere and many choices for lunch
There is outdoor covered seating as well as charming indoor seating. Public parking is just a block or two away Overall very good
Incredible restaurant all around and the best lamb I’ve ever had.
I had the veggie kabob, it was ok, nothing to get excited about. But my friend had the beef stew and it was very good.
I grew up eating Persian food and I absolutely love it. I absolutely love this restaurant. If I were a local, I would probably eat at this restaurant all the time.
LOVE Pomegranate! They have the best food in town! Always super fresh and delicious! Their salmon is the best I have ever tasted!
Excellent food and service
I had the medium rare lamb chops which came out double bone in. I had to ask the bar tender for a knife (he gave me a butter knife...moron) to cut the chops since they were difficult to eat as served plus the flavor was really odd and unpleasant. Since I was on a date I didn’t want to send them back or ask the waiter over but overall for $85.18 I’d say I was quite dissatisfied.
Live music and half off bottles of wine on the patio made for the perfect setting for our Christmas girls dinner! The food was light and extremely tasty & satisfying.
We had a wonderful double date here before a show at the Peace Center!
Kabos were excellent.rice and eggplant starters as well. Ask for main dining room not near windows if cold outside. Did not have na beer. Waiters seemed a little disorganized even though he had been there for five years. Started strong finished M.i.A.
We had a wonderful experience... the food was AMAZING. Between 7 of us, we all got either the Chicken Torch kabob or Tenderloin Torch kabob, except one who got the lamb, but all were extremely please. Our waiter was fabulous as well!
From reservation to greeting to cocktails to service to food-all were wonderful, authentic experiences. The food was delicious! Looking forward to other opportunities to eat at Pomagranate.
A wonderful dining experience! The food was incredible, the service warm and unobtrusive, and the atmosphere lovely. I will definitely be going back to dine, again.
Wonderful food, good price, not cheap by any means though, don't raise your prices, won't be worth the drive
Eh. It was ok. Kabobs and rice. Rice was dry. Kabobs ok. Just very expensive for what you get. There was a lot of food but it was just ok. Pistachio saffron ice cream was amazing though.
We were incredibly disappointed to make a reservation via open table and then arrive at the restaurant to find out it was closed.
Really interesting food. Lots of spices you don’t normally see in a restaurant saffron being one of them
Our group had the special which was chicken marinated in spices and molasses, daily special, which was excellent. One other had roasted salmon marinated in saffron and onion absolutely delicious. All dishes were accompanied by different rice dishes all of which were excellent. We were late for lunch 1:45 so it was very quite and the service was great.
Pomegranate on Main is one of our favorite restaurants! Food is always fresh and delicious-wonderful specials. Great service last week before Hamilton,
always a consistent dining experience. Food is very good and variety suits all palates
