Pomegranate on Main
We had a great time, and the staff was very accommodating and great. The food is always delicious! Thank you for an awesome evening!
Bartender had no clue what they were doing . My mohito was weak, like soda and my wires pomegranate martini was over syrupy
Food was good
The ambience was wonderful as we were seated next to the waterfall. Food was solid, but nothing special. Overpriced. We would come back to try a different dish, however. Cocktails and wine we ordered were excellent, our server did a nice job answering our questions and pairing wine to our entrees.
Pomegranate is always a great experience for us! Their wraps are out of this world. We always get either a glass of wine or they're wonderful hot Persian Tea. This is our go-to place for lunch and for dinner. They have wonderful vegetarian options too.
Traditional Persian food with knowledgeable wait staff. Excellent Pomegranate martini.
Always excellent food and service. The wait staff and the owners aim to please. Food is consistently fresh.
The food and experience were wonderful. It was a Friday evening so the restaurant was full, but we were taken care of by our server throughout the meal.
Was a little disappointed there were no lamb offerings on the luncheon menu, which was the main reason to visit the restaurant. The waitress got 2 out of 4 orders wrong. The food was tasty.
Birthday lunch with family and out of town guests. Excellent in all aspects.
Good food. Service was lacking. Casual atmosphere.
Absolutely great service in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Servings were ample and the food was delicious with great presentation. We had a terrific time and will definitely return. Our waiter was tops!!!
This place is ALWAYS consistent and always delicious. We try other places in downtown Greenville but always come back here because we know the service is going to be great and the food exceptional and it was again this visit.
First visit to POmegranate on Main. So close to the Peace Center we could easily walk. The food was outstanding and the service delightful. I will be coming back soon.
The food is delicious and the lunch menu has many good choices. Save room for the pomegranate ice cream!
Pomegranate on Main has THE best salmon in all of Greenville! Hubby and I had a lovely table on the patio (very comfortable even though it was quite warm outside). We love how Pomegranate begins your dining experience: warm pita squares served with butter, feta, radishes and mint - so French! Hubby and I both ordered the Roasted Salmon with Cranberry Rice and it was perfectly cooked (his, med. rare; mine, med.). I decided to try the recommended wine (Verezano?) and it was yummy! A very tasty evening.
The patio s such a pleasant place to dine. Our pregnant guest asked for a mock tail And the bartender came out and had a little sidebar chat with her and came up with an invention that she really enjoyed. I thought that was above and beyond and very gracious. I will say this time my kabob was a little dry and overcooked and my rice was a little too dry also but the flavors were there and I love the dried sumac at the table. I did ask for fresh little dishes of sumac because the ones on the table were left over from previous guests and they were happy to accommodate.
Always a pleasant experience at this restaurant. I thought the lamb was a little tough and tasteless but satisfying.
A girlfriend and I had lunch at Pomergrante on Tuesday and it was excellent, as usual. She had the Signature Salad and was extremely pleased with the freshness of the greens and the zippy dressing. I ordered the Roasted Salmon (med.) with the Cranberry Rice - both were perfect. Pomegranate is THE best restaurant in town for fresh salmon. TJ was attentive and make lunch on the patio perfect.
had a great dining experience. The food and service were great. We will be back.
Dining with good friends!
Not great. Service was very good, no complaints there! But was surprised at how mediocre the food was, considering all the positive reviews. Is somebody being paid to write some boost reviews? Anyway, went on a Saturday for dinner and it wasn't very busy. Some opportunities for growth on the food:
- Didn't understand the point of the little plate that comes out with every meal. Unsalted butter? Two radishes? A single cube of feta? Not sure what the aim is here.
- Pita wasn't great. This is such a missed opportunity!
- Too much mint! Mint here, mint there. Mint replaced the curly parsley garnish from yester-year.
- Doesn't Persian rice have the crusty part? The tahdig, or whatever it is? I feel like this would be such a big hit with customers. Unfortunately here, the rice was your average rice.
- Got the vegetarian mushroom stew entree; it was very sweet. Maybe this is how it's supposed to be? Not sure.
- Was kind of hoping to see sabzi on the menu. Maybe the chef feels that it is more of a lunch item. Anyway, imo that would be cool.
That's pretty much it! It's not that anything was bad, it's just that the price and ratings suggest that you are getting something great. I did not find this to be the case.
Thank you SO MUCH for an amazing experience Saturday night. We enjoyed family-style dining and everyone walked away happy. It was awesome!!! We will be back.
Food is tasty and wonderfully presented. My family has both gluten and lactose free requirements, and Pomergranate on Main via OpenTable's comments section was alerted to our requirements, and satisfied every member of my party. We will return to this restaurant often.
Always a wonderful experience! Thank you!!
This was the first time I have ever had poor service at Pomegranates. I don’t know if there was a shortage of help or not, but our dinner came pretty quickly and after that it went downhill. There was about 35 minutes between the en if dinner and any dessert offerings. It took ages minutes for dessert and the it was another 30-40 minutes before he came with our checks and that was after we asked someone to send him over. After the credit cards and checks were prepared a member of our group had to carry them to our server after she found him. Then there was a period of about 15 minutes before we got those back. All in all, our dinner took from 6:30 until 8:55 to get done. I don’t mind lingering a bit after dinner but this was absurd. I hate it too because I live their food but the wait kinda spoiled it.
This resturant is our family favorite. Mike is not only a great waiter and bartender, he is a friend. I have all my birthdays at the resturant. Thanks. Tracy and Greg Helvey
Excellent place to dine with family or friend or just to stop by BUT make sure make reservation in advance otherwise you might have to wait.
Food has very high quality and keeps it consistently each time we go there!!!
We go there for the past three years since my older son started at Clemson Univ.
Wonderful meal and terrific service! Fish was particularly good! Highly recommended!
We both thought the chicken kebab (two different marinades) was superb and so was the perfectly cooked saffron basmati rice. My only suggestion is, on the lovely complimentary plate to pile on some slices of pita, we found an abundance of peppermint, a small pat of butter, and a tiny piece of feta cheese--a bit like a small sugar cube, which provided only tiny bits for two bites each. Consider increasing it to at least twice what you're giving diners now.
Zack E may have been the best server we've ever had! He provided unparalleled service that far exceeded our expectations; he was on top of it, provided excellent wine recommendations and menu-descriptions, and he exuded genuine warmth and positivity that ensured a PHENOMENAL dining experience! We strongly recommend Zack E, and highly recommend leaving him BIG tips! :)
Chicken kabob over cooked and dry
Dinning mate had the salmon pretty much the same
Flavor was "flat"
Service was good. Not a horrible restaurant , just nothing special
I may be particular having lived in Los Angeles for 22 yrs (largest Iranian population outside of Iran)
Good was great and very fresh. Amazing flavor in every meal! Will definitely be visiting again.
Fantastic experience as always!! A favorite spot in Gville!
Fabulous Dinner experience. Food was fantastic! Authentic cuisine from a unique culture that is rarely found in other Cities.
Dinner at Pomegranate never fails to make us happy! Each time we dine there it is an enjoyable experience. A lovely time is always had.
Always smooth and as close to perfect as a place can be. Neat place in Greenville!
Food was great...service was a little slower than we'd prefer.
Always first class.
Food was very good. The only thing we had an issue with was the music was very loud and intrusive. When we asked the waitress to turn it down slightly, she said she would ask, but nothing happened.
