Polo Lounge @ The Beverly Hills Hotel Ratings and Reviews
Finally got round to visiting this iconic venue after about 20 years.
It lived up to my expectations in regards to the decor and friendliness of the staff.
I was however a bit disappointed in the food, while it was nice I supposed I excepted to be blown away by it.
More over my party were more disappointed in the dress code, we always make an effort wherever we go and after reading the reviews on several websites we of course adhered to them.
Upon being seated we realised that we were surround by quite a few tables who were in just fitflops and tennis gear.
We have been coming to this wonderful hotel since our daughter was 2 ; We have stayed at The hotel as well as eaten in the Polo Lounge . The waiter we had this time was David Tucker, he was very personable, and quick to get what we wanted, A super waiter, we hope to have him next time we come. Our daughter just started Vet school and this was a treat for her as well as us. We love the ambiance of the polo lounge and can’t wait to return.
Amazingly beautiful day in the historic opulence of the Beverly Hills Hotel! We were seated in the polo lounge, in the patio section of course, drinking singapore slings with mezcal on the side. Actually they are called Smoking Fear and Loathings. Basically its a Singapore Sling with Mezcal and fruit slices as described in the novel Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by the titan Hunter S Thompson and film (the scene was shot in the Polo Lounge: Patio section) directed by the brilliant Terry Gilliam starring Johnny Depp and Benicio del Toro with an added twist of it bubbling in a Tiki mug. I also had some delicious soup and other nibbles to go along with the out of this world drinks! We saw more than a few celebs who seemed relaxed and enjoyed hearing the biz talk and other eccentric musings from now back to yesteryear. Our server Sydney who made our time super special is also an excellent visual artist so we had much in common. All in all it exceeded my expectations and hope to return the next time I'm in town from NYC. Highly recommended for golden age Hollywood charm and contemporary comforts.
This is by far my most favorite restaurant I've ever been to. Inside the gorgeous Beverly Hills Hotel. There's not much else I can say. It was the best dining experience I've ever had. My husband and I got salmon and the house burger - both were tremendous. The dessert was beautiful (Pink Palace Alaska) - and our server was such a sweet man. He made our experience even better. We were sat next to a celebrity (kind of) so that was a little fun for dinner conversation. I cannot recommend this beautiful restaurant enough for fine dining.
Always a great time at The Polo Lounge. Our party of six was seated outside for lunch, and enjoyed a mix of cocktails and beer and champagne before lunch. We got a mix of lobster salad, fish tacos, hamburgers and Mac Salad. Everything was perfect. And what made the afternoon even better was delightful service by Nancy. Attentive, professional, and a perfect sense of humor. An institution in Beverly Hills and well worth making a reservation for!
I love the polo lounge. The Macarthy salad is the best! We were celebrating our birthdays and the waiter brought us a delicious flower less chocolate cake on the house. We had the clam linguini and branzano. Both wonderful. Such an iconic place to eat. Always love it.
The Polo Lounge is the finest restaurant in the city when it comes to customer service. Whether you're a celebrity or just nobody, they treat you just the same. They all want you to have the finest dining experience possible. It's pricy but worth it at least once in your life
Had a very remarkable experience. The staff were all so kind and helpful. The live music that was playing was so awesome. The food and dessert were very tasty. I think that everyone should experience dinning at Polo lounge at least once for a night to remember.
It was my daughters birthday. Visiting from Australia we thought what a nice place to be! We had a reservation for a booth style table made on advance we got there and it wouldn't be available for at least 20 mins im sure if we were on the list we would have made it to that table! We ended up outside in the garden my daughter was cold. The only table they could offer us was one with no heating. Why the need to make a reservation if they table you ask for is not available!! I couldn't be bother with going here again. Much better places to be like The Beverly Hilton, SUR, PUMP, The Ivy, Villa Blanca - we always get a beautiful table.
First time dining at the Polo Lounge. My wife and I enjoyed a great experience after dropping our Daughter off to college and what a great way to end an awesome day. We sat in a quieter room and had a few A list celebs in the room as well. We had a great meal and Eugene provided exceptional service. Highly recommend and look forward to returning soon!
First time to LA and wanted to experience an historic restaurant for dinner or server Liz was friendly but once our main course arrived she was hard to fine
She wa focused on serving the table two down from ours that had visiting chefs at the table
Took way too long to get her attention for dessert.
This was a bad way to end an up to that point very nice experience and memory of our first time trip to Beverly Hills
The ambiance at the Polo Lounge is nice and so is the live music! Sorry to say, but I was very disappointed about the food - WILD KING SALMON @ $65….Summer Squash, Ratatouille, Grilled Scallions, Pimento Vinaigrette). Well…. Sounds good but tasted horrible! Too much tomatoes that looked and tasted like chopped tinned tomatoes! Have a look at the photos.
We have dinned frequently in expensive top-rated restaurants in London, Paris, New York, Miami and in many other countries when away on business or holiday, so we’ve no problem with expensive fine dining but @ $120 for one, mmm…. would have been okay if the food was good but unfortunately not on this occasion 😌
The Beverly Hills Hotel is part of the Dorchester Collection so if you're in London try The Dorchester Hotel in London, you'll love it!
Had a beautiful evening celebrating our 1st anniversary. Food was delicious as well as the atmosphere and staff. Weather was absolutely beautiful so we were able to sit outside in a beautiful banquette. It was so romantic and private. I would recommend The Polo Lounge for a special occasion since my experience was so wonderful.
It has built its reputation as a place to be . It continues to deliver on this front . But on service and quality of food it's simply not up to scratch . Go for the experience of eating there and the surroundings and you will be happy .
Go for good food and service and like me you will be very disappointed .
Eminently forgettable. Our first waitress was wonderful but in the middle of our dining experience our waitress was moved to a different section and we received a new waiter. He seemed confused at times and forgot what we ordered. The table nearby let their children play their iPads rudely loud. My husband and I both had steaks and they were sub-par considering the price. Overall very disappointed.
