The music wasn’t quite loud enough. Lighting was good, food was ok and the service was phenomenal.
We had a guest in town and wanted to share our Tulsa Flavor with him.
Two martinis took 45 minutes to get. Placed an order for two lobster tails, server came back 15 minutes later to ask again what we ordered. Never even placed the order. Didn’t receive the appetizer we ordered because he never ordered it. Absolutely awful.
Always a great dining experience, consistently excellent
Wonderful food! Must try the lobster bisque.
I always enjoy the Polo Grill. The food and especially the service is always wonderful. I had a wonderful bottle of wine and the bone in pork chop was very good. Always a pleasure when in Tulsa.
I hadn't been here in many years but given its Tripadvisor reviews decided to give it a go. Brought my wife and a friend/business associate who stopped over in Tulsa for a visit. Very efficient and knowledgeable maitre'd and wait staff although I wouldn't characterize our waiter as warm. (He was very chatty and friendly to a couple regulars seated after us.) My wife had the Salmon in a Tamale husk and said it was delicious. My friend had the scallops and didn't complain. I had surf and turf 7 oz Filet Med-Rare with a push and it was borderline well-done but still edible (what a shame). The scallops were cooked perfectly. Sides were not memorable. Extra side of Brussels Sprouts were good. The three of us shared two desserts and they were spectacular. The hollowed ice cream faux-apple with Kahlua inside was a work of art and delicious. The Bread Pudding was equally wonderful with a nice crusty surface and just the right moist inner consistency covered with a perfectly balanced vanilla, butterscotch bourbon sauce (I think). The wine list is overwhelming and unless you know exactly what you're in the mood for would take many minutes to study. I would have appreciated the waiter or Sommelier to have offered to lead us through a selection. I got stranded on Cabernet Francs page and ordered from there but next time will take more time. Prices were in-line for the setting and quality although end-to-end execution needs a little fine tuning. All in all I recommend Polo Grill.
Great service and food!
Polo Grill was great for a quiet date night. Most every item (food and drink) we ordered was of great quality; however, the shrimp (in the shrimp and grits) was overcooked and lacked a little in flavor. Overall, nice night out.
Excellent service, very good meal.
The waitress was kind and hospitable. The food was on the expensive side but good quality.
The salad was incredible. The steak was good. Not great but very good. I would definitely return for a future date or special occasion.
Food and sevice were wonderful. Only slip up (?), no steak knife with steak (2 filets at our table).
Great! Thank you!
Ambiance and service were top notch. Staff, outstanding. My Seafood Pavarotti was excellent. My wife's Frenched hen was served on the cool side. Timing for service and food temp were not in sync and my wife would not order that again. Passed on dessert since most of the offerings included dairy.
We had to ask for a server, which didn't get the evening off to a good start. Someone brought some delicious bread and said he'd be "right back" with some butter, but he evidently forgot, as the butter didn't show up for quite a while. My wife ordered the salmon tamale, but the "sauce" was very soupy and made the grits "liquid." I ordered a filet: I don't expect a filet to be fork tender, but I had to do a lot of "sawing" to cut bites. The waiter at the next table provided info on dinner and dessert specials and provided a menu for after dinner drinks. We had to ask our waiter about the dinner specials and he seemed confused by the question. We did receive a complimentary glass of bubbly as an apology for having to wait for service, but overall we expected more from such a highly rated restaurant.
Always enjoy the ambiance. Lovely menu. Great service.
Service was superb and the food was overall excellent. I did have a couple of items that were barely luke warm when they made it to the table but entree was perfect.
My wife and I really enjoy eating at the Polo Grill. The food is fantastic. It ranks up there and better than most that serve prime steak. In fact, I have a hard time eating steak anywhere else. It just has a great atmosphere, great service, and great food that makes for a great evening.
Great food and great service! Extensive wine list and cozy atmosphere! It was a little on the louder and cramped side, but that's if you're searching for a complaint!
This is a great local restaurant with fantastic food, a good wine list, and a nice ambiance. Definitely not a budget location, but if you want a great dinner, it's highly recommended. I recommend reservations and they have a nice rotating dinner and dessert menu.
Hosted life long friends. Food, service and ambiance was perfect! Then off to the Blake Shelton concert we went! Was such a wonderful evening!
Great food and environment. We were seated 30 minutes after our reservation time
Valentine’s dinner date - great food and wine
The ambiance was amazing.. its is perfect for the couples for their romantic dinners .
The food was kind of just ok ..may be it was a valentines day.. they were tight on their schedule . Overall nice experience!!!!
Excellent place for Valentine’s dinner with wife and friends.
My wife and I have always liked dining at the Polo Grill and I had made reservations in advance for Valentines day. Big mistake. Even though we went to an early seating the restaurant was packed to overflowing. No booths were available and we were informed that we should have specified a booth on our reservation. We were crammed into a two top in a room already crowded. The waitress brought our drinks and bread to the table and then took our order. They brought out the salad course and cleared the plates when we finished and then brought us another salad by mistake. We reminded them that we had just had our salad and they cleared those and brought our entree. I had ordered the short ribs and they brought a nicely presented chicken dish. My wife ordered a vegetarian entree and requested that the beets be left off. She is hard of hearing and due to the noise level in the room, could not hear what was being offered. When her meal was presented the chef appeared at our table wondering why she did not want the beets. Most of the discussion was lost on her. It was obvious they were trying to turn as many tables as possible that night and had brought in wait staff who were inexperienced. The kitchen was struggling to meet the demand and while the chef was courteous I'm not sure why he had the time to leave the kitchen on such a minor errand. Perhaps it was a fools errand to expect a quiet evening of good food on valentines day.
Great atmosphere with very good service. We enjoyed not feeling like we were being rushed out to bring the next table in. Quiet enough to have conversation. Will be back
Great place to dine. Never been disappointed.
Good food and excellent service. Definitely my no. 1 place in Tulsa.
We had a wonderful meal. Fresh oysters on half shell were perfect. Our steaks were delicious and we loved the Demi-glace sauce! Our salads were fine and the tomato bisque, lobster bisque, and soup of the day were excellent. Our server was attentive without being overly so.
Ribeyes were cooked to perfection, and tasted fantastic. Bacon wrapped shrimp for appetizer-was different but of course delish. Would recommend Polo grill
Every course was exceptional! From the shrimp cocktail, to a perfectly chopped wedge salad, an outstanding filet (cowboy style) and finishing up with a forbidden apple dessert... the entire meal was excellent!
Birthday dinner was awesome as usual. Polo never disappoints.
The food was excellent, as usual. I thought the wine by the glass was very expensive! So much so that i opted for water instead.
Everything was perfect. Noise level was conducive to conversation; timing of drinks/entrees etc. was spot on. Attention to client needs was superb. Wouldn’t change a thing.
Polo Grill is Tulsa'a best, and the equal of most in this country. Quick, friendly service to a late night party of 4. Each of the party was pleased with the variety of choices, one used gluten-free suggestions from the waitress. Everything was done to order, and delicious. Ambience was a little crowded (full house on Friday night,) but acceptable.
Wine by the glass is, unfortunately not plentiful, and much to overpriced. Only one champagne choice for an apperitif, and it was too expensive. The wine we ordered for the entree was not available (that happens too often) and the alternative was only so-so.
PG is my Tulsa favorite, and I'll return as often as possible.
Amazing food and amazing service.
I brought my girlfriend here hoping to take her to a nice dinner. The food was good but the way were treated was unacceptable. The waiter messed up my order. I got the wrong size steak along with incorrect correct sides. He also failed to bring my soup before my meal which I had to ask to get. While these things happen, the waiter tried to make up for it by bringing us champagne at the end of our meal which neither my girlfriend or I wanted. My girlfriend and I are both in our early twenties and the waiter did not give us the appropriate treatment for a resturaunt of this magnitude. We were discriminated against because we were not an older couple and we were not going to be a excessively expensive tab so wasting time on us was not worth it to the waiter. The reason why I say we were discriminated against because of our age is that I talked to a few of my friends who had gone to the resturaunt before and they had the same exact thing happen to them.
Our waiter Skylar made our dining experience very special. Food was perfect! Service was perfect!
