Delious meal as usual. Mushroom bisque is outstanding!
The salmon was good. It was a bit noisy because there was a big group/party next to our table. The service was fast.
I hosted a dinner with 3 friends for their Christmas gift. It was early and a weeknight so when arrived, the hostess stand greeted us and we got a booth. We moved up a booth after the hostess seated us and they were very nice about accommodating us. We moved seats because the couple in the booth next to us had a loud cell phone ring. After moving, everything was fine. I just wanted the wait staff and hosts to be aware that sometimes loud talkers, cell phone users or worse, people who use the Speaker Function to carry on a conference call (at the table!) is very annoying. I know this is a challenge, but restaurants that don't manage this better are losing business.
Great food and service
Very Solid Resturant --Food and the service are very good.
will always be on my list for dinner and lunch.
Food was very good.
I always injoy dinning at Polaris Grill. The food is always spot on . I would recommend the resterant to everyone.
The Polaris Grill has become our go to location for a great meal whether it be before a concert or theatrical production, a birthday brunch, or any other celebration; always consistent food quality and service. This visit was a Sunday brunch celebrating the wife's mother's birthday. The drinks were excellent, the food hot and tasty, the ambiance such that a conversation could be had, but you knew you weren't alone in the restaurant - a lot of conversation and laughter. The only negative was the weather was too chilly to enjoy their patio - hmmm, maybe for Easter Brunch Buffet! Consistency is the key to the Polaris Grill. It's why we keep going back.
Good food although if you are looking for a place with a lower noise level, this is not the place to go as it was hard to carry on a conversation. The service was good, as a matter of fact, didn’t have a second to enjoy a drink before the entree was served...almost too quickly! Maybe trying to turn over the tables much too fast?? It felt very rushed. However, the food was very good.
-Overall visit and rood quality was acceptable but not memorable in a positive way.
-Mushroom soup was tepid (not warm enough) and lacked the robust nature that we remembered from past visits. Soup was quite thin and bland.
-Crab cakes had too much filling and were not seared adequately. Very mushy, cool and had an unappealing appearance.
-Server seemed rushed , almost like he had too many parties to handle so the service was not stellar. One individual in our party asked to have her wine served in the taller stem, thinner wine glass (similar to other customers) vs. the cheaper, thick-walled wine glass that was presented. The server was rude and told us that those were reserved for those who order "More Expensive" wines. In fact we had ordered one of the more expensive wines by the glass and the not the cheapest option (however this should not matter). Other customers surrounding us did not have wines by the bottle but also by the glass, so the server was illogical and the comment was classless, upsetting our group. The server did provide a new glass as requested but the commentary was unnecessary. Again, very unprofessional.
had a nice time and a nice meal but felt a little rushed
Great service, great atmosphere, delicious food! We will return again.
We go back to Polaris Grill for dinner because of their terrific food. The mushroom soup is excellent, and the Betty salad is always good. The halibut has been a mainstay on their menu, thank goodness, because it is one of the best seafood dishes - anywhere! They also run a seasonal menu that is always creative, interesting and delicious. My husband and son ordered the Mardi Gras steak entree and it was delicious. Polaris Grill serves terrific food and is a great value.
Always a good meal and good service! Love the crab cakes!
We were three friends getting together for lunch. One had salmon and two had the almond crusted walleye. They were will to customize our meals. I had the walleye as is and it was fabulous. Our waitress was attentive.
Great food and service
First time there. Rated as having good crab cakes, but not so much. Mushy, gluteny. Not fluffy and crabilicious. Oh well. Won’t be back.
First time. Went for Sunday Brunch. Fantastic. Best Grits that I have ever had.
Server not as good as past experiences. Noise level rose throughout evening (we were near other larger groups). Food great!!!
I ordered the filet, and it was perfectly cooked. The 55 House Salad was superb, as usual. I always look forward to dining at Polaris Grill!!!
Was very nice. We will go back. Food is great and I would recommend the 55 salad.
Great as usual. Always know it will be consistently very good. Exactly why we spend our Anniversary there.
A bit noisy for a midday business meal, but food and service were good.
Great food and service
Very accommodating Restaurant with exceptional customer service. They made me feel important
Overall my dining experience has been very good at this place. This time the Halibut was not up to standards as in the past past experiences .
Polaris Grill is one of our favorites. Always good food and fast service.
Catching up with college friends.
There are very few restaurants in Columbus that have stood the test of time like Polaris Grill. This is one of the best in town and can always be expected to have great food and great service. This is a very well-managed restaurant with servers that have been on staff for many years and the quality of service shows. They have a great patio when the weather is nice, and the indoor space is intimate, yet good for business meetings. I have been there many times with 2,4,8 people and also used the private room for a party. They have many signature dishes all year round, and also rotate in great seasonal menus. Truly one of the best spots in town, and certainly the best restaurant in the north end of Columbus.
Tried pork chops with special sauce containing horseradish- not potent enough for me. Collard greens were awful. Others had tenderloin, pasta and tournados- very good. Black stone Merlot recommended.
Great food. Noisy
We loved it as we always do! Looking forward to the patio opening this summer.
Food was fresh but disappointed in flavor, went for Jambalaya not very spicy don't expect it to be on level of New Orlean's but....
This restaurant has always been one of our favorites. Always great food and great service.
Everything tasted superb, drinks were wonderful and good pours, and our waitress, Laurie was great.
Valentine's Day with wife. Great night.
Food was fantastic! We ordered Halibut, twin lobster tails, and steak and we all said how good it was! Will def come back!
The meat was too tough for some and not cooked enough for others depending on what they had ordered. Service was okay but it was a busy holiday
Awesome! Cliff rocks!
