Great food and service
Polaris Grill on. Late Sunday afternoon was just right. The buffet was finished, and the dinner rush had not yet begun. We were seated right away even though we were a few minutes early for our reservation. Our server was wonderful, very knowledgeable and helpful about the menu. We knew the food would be very good, but the couple with us was there for the first time. We had an amazing dinner with shared desserts! We will all be back!
I came for Valentine's Dinner with my husband. We came for the 55 salad that did not disappoint but the rest was a big disappointment. Our server was very aloof and not present when we needed her. I saw her walking around in a circle not helping anyone. We were seated in the booth right by the kitchen which has to be the worst table in the house. I ordered the Surf & Turf special and my lobster was so chewy I could not even break it apart even with a knife. My husband's strip was full of fat. The table was never cleared even when we had been finished for quite awhile. We ordered the Pineapple Upside down cake which was excellent but the special coffee was cold and she never checked back on that either.
Service was outstanding since our waitress had several large parties. The food was excellent as well.
Great service and excellent food. Will go back.
Food was very good. Could not tell we were eating on a busy "holiday" weekend. Impressed that the quality did not decrease due to unusually high number of patrons.
Drinks were good.
Super sweet waitress and she was wonderful keeping our drinks replenished and always checking in us. I would say I feel the food is overpriced. The appetizer we received wasn’t very good. Maybe next time it will be better!!
I really loved the fast service and the food was really fresh. The staff were amazing!
Disappointing at best. What's billed as fine dining is really little more than a pretend version. Tacky wait staff didn't add much to the evening, the highlight of which was a nice mushroom bisque. Everything else fell flat. We won't be going there again.
Fast and friendly service. We were seated at a small table in a side room. Bland ambience at best.
Fair/Good restaurant, not great. This place is Mediocre, at best. Reach out to me directly if you want advice on refining waitstaff attire and all of the details of your restaurant: including dinnerware, waitstaff attire and your dish ware. The food is pretty good I guess but it will never shine in this setting.
Our experience was just okay. Been to Polaris Grill many times, but left disappointed. Was a special occasion but our server really didn’t seem to want to make it special. Was very dark and noticed a light was out above our table. The server brought a small candle to our table. Didn’t do anything. Food was ok, but for spending over $100 for dinner would expect better. May think twice before heading back.
Everything was great. Server was very attentive to all of our needs. Food was excellent an cooked to perfection.
Was seated immediately with reservations. Service was a bit slow on Valentine’s Day, which wasn’t surprising. Food was good. The calamari didn’t have the squid tentacles, which is my favorite, but was pretty good. I also got the 55 salad and enjoyed it. My husband’s steak was perfectly cooker. The Mississippi mud pie was amazing! Would recommend for a special occasion.
Had our Valentine's Day date at Polaris Grill and it was lovely and delicious. We had sea bass and salmon - cooked perfectly, seasoned well. The mushroom bisque was amazing. This was our first visit and now we can't wait to go back.
Great service, atmosphere, and food was delicious for my brother’s birthday celebration on Valentine’s Day! We will definitely be back again!
My favorite restaurant in the $20-30 entree range. A bit pricey for two retirees -- split a salad, two entrees, one drink each, tip = $90 -- but it's necessary to splurge a few times a year. Food choices are extensive, yet I've never had a mediocre meal. The 55 salad is required. Service has always been great : efficient but unobtrusive. Just a good place to dine.
Great food and service
This is one of our most favorite restaurants in Columbus. The food and the service is always outstanding.
The price point, for us, makes it a special night out, but it is always worth every penny.
The Polaris Grill is one of my FAVORITE restaurants in Central Ohio
My new favorite place. The food was amazing and the service was exceptional.
Excellent variety of menu choices. Food was maybe the best I’ve had at this price point and service was as good as the food.
As usual another fantastic meal at Polaris Grill. The salmon Oscar remains my favorite dish and was everything I expected. My family enjoyed the baby back ribs, Cajun seafood pasta and beef Tournedos and everyone loved their meal. Crab Cakes appetizer and 55 salad are a requirement for us and we weren’t disappointed.
Service was timely and attentive. Restaurant was oddly not too busy for 730 on a Saturday. This place should be filled.
Looks like the parking lot has been repaired which was a welcome sight. Will be returning for the unpteenth time soon. If you have not been to Polaris Grill you have been missing out.
We love the Polaris Grill overall, our selections have been delicious, and the 55 House Salad is great, but it needs more tomato incorporated. Our servers have been very good and the seating and ambiance as well. But the noise level is unacceptably high for a restaurant of this caliber. Similar restaurants in Boston, New York, San Francisco, Nashville, some in the Columbus area -not all, are much quieter. And in Europe - Athens, Santorini, Stockholm, Copenhagen, etc you never hear loud talking, unless it's a beer hall or something. Streaming music is not necessary, but a reasonably quiet atmosphere, enabling pleasant conversation would be most appreciated.
Everything was outstanding except there was a crying toddler that was seated near us which dampened the experience.
Wonderful dining experience as usual! I’ll be back. Great customer service & tasty food. Thanks
The food was not good at all. I had a New York strip steak that I ordered as Medium, the steak was tough and had lots of Grisel. Very hard to cut. My wife ordered Salmon, she also complained about the quality of the food. We did mention the situation to the waiter, however, no remedy was given. The no charge appetizer (per coupon) was placed on my bill, I did get that situation corrected. This was a bad experience at a restaurant that normally was a good experience.
Great food and outstanding service! Not too noisy, very clean and wonderful ambiance!
Great food, great service....loved it! Restaurant Week menu was amazing. There were many choices. My filet was wonderful!
My Wife and I were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary and chose Polaris Grill. I got the Orange Horseradish Halibut and it was excellent. My wife got the crab cakes which were very good. We both got Key Lime pie which was excellent. We have never had a bad meal at Polaris Grill but this meal was the best. We will return and both of us will get the Orange Horseradish Halibut.
Everything was awesome 😊
We had delicious food (restaurant week menu) and great service. Our table was especially quiet.
The entire experience was great. Part of our party was late and they were very accommodating, never made us feel we were putting them out although they were very busy. The food was great and the server was excellent. Very enjoyable experience and we will go back.
Food is not good. Crispy Calamari is very soggy. Crab cakes smell like freezer burnt. Price is very high for the food served.
it was a really nice meal and fun place to have dinner, another birthday going on, I took picture and they gave me a piece of their amazing cake to have, I used extra utensils and did upset a waitress, tell her im sorry....
food was outstanding and the service was excellent
Once again an awesome meal! Cliff and staff are an all star team!
Thanks again for your presence on Polaris Parkway!
Here’s to many more years
I took guests to the Polaris Grill- they loved it! I have never been disappointed when I go there. Great food and service!!
Our guest picked Polaris Grille for Restaurant Week, while I usually prefer to try new/new to me restaurants I was fine with her pick because I eat regularly at Polaris Grille and it HAD always been quite good.
I opted for the salad for the first course which was fine which could also be said for they key lime pie for dessert. Just fine. The issue was with the entrée. I ordered what was supposed to be a 6oz filet but what I got appeared to be and tasted like an overcooked flat sirloin.
