Hello. The view is amazing and the staff was nice. Waited 35min and ended up eating at a sofa even though we had a reservation . The food was OK but very small potion. Even after a good desert I was still hungry. And I'm not a big eater!
At first, I was nervous about going because of how classy of a restaurant Polaris is, but the moment the elevator opened up, we were greeted whole-heartedly by the manager who made us feel welcome. The atmosphere is quite formal while also being inviting and relaxed. The food is definitely high class, however. After reading a short bit about the restaurant and it's history, you arrive at the menu which is very mature and formal. The food is very well-prepared and portioned. After taking a few pictures of my food, I dove in and found it to be the perfect amount of food to have me leaving with a full stomach. I will definitely try to come back, whether it's for a few expert craft drinks or a full dining experience.
Our group of four went to Polaris on a Friday evening for my birthday. We're all long-term residents of Atlanta and since none of us had been to this iconic Atlanta restaurant, we figured it was time. The views were beautiful--we could see thunderstorms off in the distance. The food from our appetizer (cheese and charcuterie) through dessert was outstanding. We each got a different entree (scallops, sea bass, steak, and carbonara) and all were delicious. The scallops and sea bass in particular were amazing. For dessert, we got three different ones and all were yummy, but I think the blueberry panna cotta was probably the best. Even the specialty cocktails were delicious and unique. One thing we all noted--most of the dishes were prepared such that you got a different blend of flavors with each bite. Our server, Michael, was the absolute best. He was attentive but not intrusive, very friendly, described the sauces and sides with each dish as they arrived, gave us completely on-point recommendations and when he brought my birthday dessert he even sang along. Definitely try to get him if you can--we talked to him throughout the evening and learned he's been there 38 years and has a wealth of knowledge about the views from the rotating dining area, Atlanta itself, the food and drinks served, and he was funny and charming. We really enjoyed our evening and agreed we'd all go back.
Waited 20 minutes past reservation for table. Table was sticky. Waiter released table but was still sticky to point where glasses and flatware stuck to table. Food was cold and mediocre at best. Dress code nonexistent. Apparently exercise apparel or shorts quite appropriate. Not an upscale dining experience. Great view! Suggest one goes for drinks, but skip the meal
All around excellent experience at Polaris. Invited clients to Polaris without having been before myself, and was pleasantly surprised at how flawlessly everything went, from hostess to check.
My first trip back since 1972. What a tribute this restaurant is to that era! I appreciate the spacious dining suites which means you can actually have a conversation with your meal. Food was well prepared and presented. Friendly service and who doesn’t like a revolving view while dining Mad Man style! We took two turns around the city during our 2 hour meal and would gladly have stayed for two more.
Expensive and the portions of food was small for the price.
This was probably the most important evening of my life. I decided to celebrate my engagement at the restaurant. Everyone on the staff with the exception of my server was excellent. The server had one of the worst attitudes, I’ve ever seen. Everyone knew in advance that this was my engagement as I notated it previously on the reservation. All others with the exception of this server expressed warm and kind congratulatory acknowledgments.
She was not warm, and when I inquired about the menu she in fact was very dry. She seemed like she had 1 million other things on her mind, and serving patrons was certainly not at the top of the list. Unfortunately I don’t remember her name but she was an African-American woman with long braided hair.
Nevertheless I didn’t let the bad service reflect on her gratuity as she still received the standard 22% of that I customarily give.
Relaxing environment with excellent service and food. Price a bit higher than expected but quality high
Wonderful food and staff. The food was very tasteful and dishes were clean. Our waiter was exceptional. Will definitely be back.
The elevator ride to the restaurant was exciting and the whole tower was covered with greenery the restaurant spins slowly good for pictures and shouldnt make you feel sick to your stomach or anything. $$$$ dinner but was definitely worth every penny with great views unique experience and one of the best meals ive ever had , you can tell the food was prepared by a real professional. Also close to my hotel which was nice since my reservation was late at night
Too expensive the food was good but little, good service
Birthday Day it was Awesome 🥰🥰
Aerion provided our table with suggestions that turned out perfectly. Her service was outstanding. So glad we left room for dessert, each was a piece of art to be devoured.
Lovely view, attentive server and good food. Great for a special occasion!
Great place to relax and see the city while enjoying a great meal. The staff was super friendly also.
Such a nice place and awesome views. Waiter was great, my dessert was surprisingly complimentary for my birthday. The frozen peach drinks were delicious.
Everything are good especially are server Garry ! 5 thumbs up 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Gary was life of our visit. He was entertaining, quick, helpful and well acquainted with menu. We had a blast. View is awesome from there. Gary spiced up our evening and without him that evening could have been an average one. Kudos to Gary.
One of the best restaurants I’ve been to. The food was great and the atmosphere is one of a kind. Will be back soon!!
Very comfortable experience
We got together for late-night drinks at the bar. Service was incredible as well as the beverages. Amazing staff to go along with the equally amazing views out the windows. Great ambience, definitely would go there again if I were there in the hotel on business.
We went for the views, but enjoyed the food much more! The food was way better than expected. Our table began with the charcuterie plate, which was one of the best we’ve had. The flavors of the cheeses( Brie, Swiss, and pesto chèvre j, meats, rosemary crackers, honey, jam, vinegar balls , and very tasty pickled vegetables was outstanding, and the perfect size for 3 people who were very hungry but didn’t want to ruin our appetite for dinner. . We each got different entrees-the beef, scallops and lamb. The beef and scallops (be sure to mix in the finely chopped vegetables on top with the scallops ) were amazing blends of flavors and textures. The whipped potatoes were soo creamy & delicious with the steak and demigloss. The lamb dish was less satisfying, but still flavorful. The flower power drink didn’t strike me as anything great, but I did very much enjoy the Siguro Viudas cava. Not too sweet, not too brut, just wonderful. The dome dessert is more beautiful than delicious(a bit too blue for comfort), but the decaf coffee was fresh and hot.
Finally, the view was the least impressive aspect of the evening, but why we chose Polaris. I had been there 30 years ago and recalled the fabulous views. These days the surrounding buildings block most views, so not much there to impress. Also, the 70s pop music was a mismatch for the fine food. I think some jazz would suited better. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention our fine server. He was attentive but not obtrusive, and indulged us while we leisurely enjoyed our multi course meal.
And, do expect a large bill. We thought it was worth it.
Love Polaris!!! The food is always wonderful, the service is impeccable, drinks are amazing and the view is perfect. Wonderful experience every time we go.
The older gentleman who seated us when we arrived was funny and professional. He made us feel comfortable and excited for the experience.
WOW! This place was AMAZING. I took my fiance for his birthday because I wanted a unique, romantic experience. The retro-chic vibe and spin feature were out of this world! I loved the music - ranging from "What a Wonderful World" to "Comfortably Numb" and the spectacular views! Best of all was the incredible food. Every bite was a well-planned affair, expertly crafted by master chefs. It was the best food I've had in a very long time. I will be recommending this gem to everyone. Very pleased!
We took our nephew and his date (teens) for their first Polaris experience. Sunset was just beginning. The view was spectacular and the food was superb. Service was wonderful. We all enjoyed the experience very much. It feels very special.
Unfortunately this experience at Polaris did not match my first one and I rather not give them another chance
Service was great all around, perfect dinning experience!
My partner and I went here for our anniversary. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food was delicious and clearly made with care, the view and ambiance were elegant, and they surprised us at the end with a happy anniversary dessert! Thanks for making our experience so special Polaris. We will definitely be back.
We always go to this restaurant! It’s amazing. The food, the service, everything is good!
Reservations were at 8:00 and didn't get seated until 8:30. Restaurant was not busy and service was slow. Decided to celebrate a birthday at the restaurant, but received acknowledgement of our special occasion.
They have a smaller menu but Polaris is a great place to have dinner or drinks and snacks. It's a really cool setting and the service was great.
This is a beautiful restaurant, loved the view of the city!! My only concerns was the menu was very limited and doesn’t have good items for teens
Thank you Bryan for servicing our group for my birthday.
14 year wedding anniversary
We had such a good time for a special Graduation celebration. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of the Cheese and Charcuterie plate. The entrees were delicious and well executed. The desserts were delicious. We all loved the look of the space.
I wouldn’t hesitate to return.
Scallops were amazing, but the steak was meh. Service and view were on point.
A very pleasant evening with delightful food. Shame our table was not clean when we sat down.
Great View, food was good just not a lot of food for the price.
