Great service, and even better food. The scenery alone is worth the dine in!
My daughter and I enjoyed an adult night out with drinks, and an appetizer. The service and food were both excellent. It made for an unforgettable experience for us that will probably last a lifetime for an 11 yo. She (and I) loved the cheese plate and drinks. She even enjoyed trying the gorgonzola, which means a lot when you're 11. Her favorite was the soft goat cheese with honey when she tried it together, I enjoyed several of them, and felt like the chef who put it together put it together with us in mind. All of the staff was extremely friendly and made the night special! Thank you!
Polaris was a great place for me and my girlfriend to go on a date for her birthday. The place had a really great view and was on top of an amazing hotel. The service was great and so was the food. I will definelty go back there again next time I am in Atlanta.
Had a wonderful birthday dinner.
Great service and outstanding food. Portions are small but presentation is outstanding Set in the Library area very pleasant
Bar service is good
WE booked a table, but were given a sofa and chairs with coffee table to eat.
Great view. Excellent food choices. Great value. I expected the entrees to be double the amount but they were European portions.
We came for our 21st wedding anniversary. The ambience was perfect and the food and service were excellent. We had a great time!
I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. Loved the restaurant and the view. Best to go out at night to enjoy the scenery. The attire says business casual but we were about the only people dressed besides the staff. The food was delicious the serving size is just small. I had the scallopsand he had the seabass both were seasoned well. The menu is very limited we didn't choose an appetizer because of the lack of. The service was amazing because it was his birthday they brought a dessert to the table with a candle.
The restaurant ambiance was very special....all guests in the party of 6 were quite impressed with the decor and the view. However, the service was very sub-par. We were seated with cocktails we had acquired at the bar during our wait for the table. The second round of cocktails ordered from our server took over 35 minutes to make it to the table. Water glasses were unfilled, appetizers (all 6 ordered the fried soft-shelled crab) were ice-cold.....obviously sitting after preparation and not delivered to our table in a timely manner.....a very disappointing start to a meal. Wine ordered with entrees was brought to the table about 15 minutes after the entrees....one guest was finished with her meal before the wine ever arrived. All in all, not what I was expecting and not the experience I wanted my life-long friends who were visiting to be subjected to......I cannot recommend a restaurant that fails to deliver outstanding experience to patrons.....Atlanta has far too many other outstanding options.
We were very disappointed with the service tonight. While the food was great it took too long for everything - to get our champagne, our drinks, to order - our server was missing from our table too often. For the price point of the restaurant I am less than thrilled and do not plan to return.
I found the food to be excellent and the service to be very considerate and accommodating. The 1960’s asthetic was very charming. It’s an intimate venue so get reservations. The rotating view is amazing.
The quality of the food and the location of Polaris are both excellent. The entire seating area rotates around the central part of the restaurant, allowing you to get a view of the Atlanta skyline from inside the city, as well as the final station of the kitchen where the chefs plate and present the food. You also get an excellent view of their unique rooftop garden, complete with flowers, herbs, and honey bee hive that are all used in cooking and cocktails. The service from the restaurant staff was also excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for dates, birthdays, anniversaries, special occasions, and business outings.
We came here for dessert and drinks. We hadn't been to Polaris in many years. It was nice to relax and enjoy the view. The cocktails are creative and fun to try. We also ended up having the cheese sampler appetizer. They have entrees but we didn't try those. Everything we had was good. It's a little pricey but great for a special occasion.
Polaris was a beautiful atmosphere and also excellent food. I would gladly recommend to anyone wanting a special dining experience.
It was wonderful! The staff are amazing and so is the food. I highly recommend!
Everything was great, service was impeccable. Although there could be a larger selection of meat available ie steaks . A whole New menu and maybe some larger tables
I chose Polaris to celebrate my friend's birthday and I could not be more pleased with my choice. The food was perfection and the only thing better was the service! Our waiter was knowledgeable and patient (we asked him to take a few pictures). I will definitely be back for the next special occasion.
Polaris has a great ambiance. I love the rotation of the restaurant and how the seats are set up. You can find cozy intimate corners and large social views for big groups. The menu was very limited. I was surprised they didn’t even have chicken on the menu, I was informed their menu changed regularly, but I was disappointed by their selection. I reviewed the menu online and called prior to get the current menu emailed to me, but I never received it. The manager comped an appetizer and dessert for us because we were seated in a corner and the waitress had no idea we were there. My cousin and I ended up ordering soup, bread and butter, whipped mashed potatoes, and asparagus, the Polaris Blue Dome and the Strawberry Shortcake. The potatoes and asparagus was very tasty, the dessert was over rated and actually disappointing. Looks like their focus was mostly presentation. I asked about customizing some things on the menu and surprisingly, they were unable to do that. Most other restaurants are able to accommodate you even if they have a set menu, they can deviate from that to create what the customer wants. If you’re attending Polaris, you’re going strictly for ambiance and drinks.
My husband and I enjoyed our date night at Polaris.
Beautiful place and great service!! Definitely enjoyed spending our anniversary there!!
We had a reservation. We checked in with the hostess and were told our table was, “almost ready.” We sat at the bar and then were forgotten. We waited over half an hour while the bar tender checked again for us. As it turned out there were numerous open tables!!! It was just a hostess who was not paying attention. Our bar and table service were good.
Polaris is an Atlanta hidden gem. Since its reopening it has really kicked it up a notch. The food is thoughtful, seasonal, delicious and it's make that much better knowing that some of the produce comes from the rooftop garden, the honey from their own hives and the charcuterie is done in house. Service is attentive without hovering. The view is fantastic and you get to see all of it as the restaurant rotates.
I want to stress that the upstairs staff ( hostess, and especially our server) were so fantastic and our server made the night so special. However, the girl downstairs set the tone for the evening. This was to be a surprise for my daughter and even though I was upstairs waiting and had guests show her my texts that I was at our table ( as it was past our reservation time) she REFUSED to let them upstairs ( upstairs staff had to intervene) causing the birthday girl to see them as she entered the hotel and effectively ruining her birthday surprise. I just find that unacceptable to encounter that level of service for a restaurant such as this which is reflected in my rating and if it wasn’t for our wonderful server I would have given a lower score for this girl’s actions alone.
I was a little disappointed with the service here. The restaurant itself was awesome. The view around sunset was great even with the buildings. It has a very relaxed atmosphere. The air is fine dining but definitely not stuffy or pretentious. My only complaint was how long it took to get things done. Made a reservation days before at 8, arrived on time and wasn’t seated until after 830. I was really confused because it didn’t seem that there were too many people there. It was nearly another hour until we got our food. And the times we saw our waitress were far and few. Other than an aesthetically pleasing view and jazzy lounge vibes I would be hesitant to go back. Though the food was delicious it’s not really necessary to come hungry because the portions are small.
The staff was great and very personable. The food was tasty a bit salty but still edible. The drinks were great. Would recommend as a spot to start your night. The view was great especially at sunset.
The atmosphere was great as well as the food. You get to enjoy a really nice panoramic view of the city while eating dinner. Definitely will be back
Great service at 6:30. Celebrated our 5 year anniversary. Would recommend!
They were on point from the moment we checked in downstairs. Got us in early, waiter was extremely friendly. Everyone from the the hostess, through the kitchen staff conversed with us. Highly recommend
Polaris is a clean, bright and modern space with the obvious and unique benefit of a 23rd floor rotating restaurant. We enjoyed the steak very much which was cooked perfectly and was accompanied by crab and asparagus on the side. The service was excellent! Definitely recommended for the pleasant views and outstanding service in this revolving Hyatt gem.
By far, Polaris is one of my favorite restaurants of all time. The view is extraordinary, and it is such a romantic atmosphere. Go here for the best date ever!
We had a wonderful time celebrating my daughter's graduation from Grayson High school. We will definitely be back. The drinks were marvelous.
Excellent dining experience! Will be going back soon. Now, I have two options for my panoramic views of the A!
Excellent food, wine, ambiance and service. One of the best restaurants I have visited. The herbs and veggies and the view of the rescue bees is amazing! GREAT view too of the city. Lovely restaurant. Don't miss it for business or family and friends.
It was great,we were seated to a family who was having a celebration so it was abit busy but we didnt mind really.Made it lively.
The portion of the food was not generous but it was exquisite.
The view is heavenly. The server was great and attentive. My husband enjoyed his birthday.Thank you polaris.
The food was very good but the portion was not filling.
This place was great! Fun to rotate and see the city, the drinks were really good, and my boyfriend decided to propose after our first full rotation around Atlanta! Five stars
The food was amazing and it’s always great when the chef stops by to check on your enjoyment. Gary was an excellent server. Loved the items but if I were a regular there it would be nice to have more options.
Great service !! Thank you Polaris !!! You guys always go above and beyond !
