Food and service was nice. Ambience was amazing! I feel like if you're going to have a dress code, you should enforce it! Other than that, great experience!
Enjoyed our fantastic view, drinks and starter to start the evening.
The food was really good everything was a success
Birthday of my wife, was a very nice place with an interesting turning 360 around...
We had a lovely evening. The food was great, frankly better than expected. Our group of four had the duck, the steak, the scallops and the trout. It was all terrific. We started with the charcuterie platter and bread. Both great choices. If there was room for improvement I would say it’s the desserts. We felt that they looked better than they tasted.
We had a great server, Gary. He was just the right amount of attentive. He connected well with everyone at the table and make our evening fun.
Polaris is in the Hyatt Regency and that created a parking problem. We arrived 30 minutes ahead of our reservation and needed the extra time. The restaurant says to park with valet and then have your ticket validated. But the parking lot was full and we were directed to park at the Aloft. The Hyatt provided a shuttle for the ride back to the hotel but we had to pay to park at the Aloft-no validation. I don’t know how often the parking is a problem.
The ambiance at Polaris is very cool and relaxing. There is nothing like a rotating view of a beautiful city at night.
I love the atmosphere. I would visit more often if it was not so pricey and I did not live out of town. Andrew was fantastic.
Wonderful preparation, attention to detail. The recommendations from our host were spot on, portion sizes don’t make you feel overwhelmed. Best meal I have had this year.
Food portions are small and taste is nothing outstanding. The waitress seem to be uncomfortable doing her job. The only relative good thing could be the view but then you can go to higher to the Sundial and have a better view
I have been at this place a few times, but the service was especially poor this time.
Anniversary dinner was outstanding
Had a great experience from check in to dessert. 5 stars for service, ambience, food and presentation.
I celebrated my birthday here with family and friends. The food and drinks are good. We tried a different dish we haven't tried before and it was good. Our server, Robert was very nice and accommodating. I will surely return for another wonderful evening.
Went for my anniversary and it was amazing, Corbin was the best waiter there. Really great atmosphere! Awesome place for a date night. Reasonably priced!
The food was very tasty. The portions are just right but if you have a large appetite you may feel the portions are a bit light. I’m a big guy with a decent appetite and I found the portions were good. The food tastes great and the view is spectacular as the entire restraint rotates 360 degrees. I highly recommend this place and I eat out at top spots in every state in the country. I only give high ratings to a few of those and this is one worth trying. Would be good for business conversation as the noise level was fairly low or just a romantic night out with your significant other!
I was here to celebrate two birthdays. Service was exceptional but food quality and quantity could be better.
Limited menu, waited 2O minutes for our drinks.
The restaurant was a little cold and the drinks a tad weak but everything else was perfect.
We visited the Polaris last night and we all expected the price of the food to be pricey for an "upscale" restaurant. But I've been to many upscale restaurants and received better portions than this. The colossal shrimp was only 1 shrimp cut in half for $17. But again, that was expected. I was MOST upset about how we were prejudged by our waiter (Marcus) and how "short" he was with us as soon as we sat down. Every question we asked about the menu he had a short, smart, rude remark. He never told us his name (I had to ask), he never smiled at us, (but smiled at his smaller tables) walked away ignoring us, etc. He was the WORST! After 5 groups of couples spent over 100 each, he didn't say thank you for coming or anything. I'll never go back. The view wasn't all that, Sun Dial is better, but we went for the rotation. All of the staff is very selective about who they "entertain" (are pleasant with). We ended up going to eat pizza after. This place is better to go lounge and have drinks but never to eat. I'm giving 2 stars... 1 star for the rotation and 1 star for the ambience... and I really wanted to give 1.5 stars but had to give 2. You couldn't even pay me to go back.
Polaris is a fun experience. The food is good and the service and ambience are very good. The food is pricey and the portions are small but that is to be expected from a place like this. I would definitely recommend Polaris for a date night, or even just for grabbing a couple drinks and enjoying the rotating view with friends. My wife and I will definitely go back.
Definitely a unique, must-do dinner spot in Atlanta
The Polaris is beautiful, the food was fresh, tasty and meticulously presented, the service was excellent. Overall I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Unfortunately on the evening that we ate there for a special occasion we were seated next to a table of extremely loud diners who showed zero consideration for the people around them. Because the ceiling is quite low the noise carried and it definitely detracted from our experience, we couldn't hear each other speak over the awful continuous shouting and laughing. Not the restaurant's fault that people can be so obnoxious and oblivious of their surroundings.
Awkward. We had reservations for Tuesday, but they called a few days in advance and cancelled because they had a group that wanted to rent the entire restaurant. We agreed to moving the reservation to Monday, and the promised complimentary appetizers for our trouble. It sounded ok, and the view was great and food was good...but no appetizers. Oh well. That is why I say it was awkward. If you go, I hope you have a better experience.
Extremely dissapointed ! We were attending an insurance convention and invited our client to dine with us at Polaris.
We had early seating, our server was not very attentive or accomodating. Menu very limited and the server was not accomodating AT ALL of our client wanted a salad. Thought the request was extremely simple but he just said no our salad choice is FIG. I even personally asked if there was something we could offer our guest.
Location , as well as the aimbiance is ok- but food sectection, service was a big let down. Hopefully this will help you improve.
It was my sister’s 30th birthday dinner and we really enjoyed ourselves. The hostess was such a sweetheart. Her smiling face, positive attitude, and willingness to assist me was refreshing. Our waitress was knowledgeable and very friendly. We will definitely dine again at Polaris.
Although the food was very good, and the view amazing, the portions were ridiculously small. We ordered a loaf of bread after our meal and it too was very small!
Food way over priced for what u get.
Not a good food value. Terrible. Value. Wood not recommend for diner
Food was good and tasty.
The views were amazing and everything we had, cauliflower soup, Cheese and charcuterie board, ricotta stuffed purse pasta and filet were impeccable. The blue dome dessert is a must have! I do wish they would have explained the meat and cheese board though when dropped off. Gary our server was attentive and professional. Also out the door under $150 before tip is awesome!!!
Had a fun evening celebrating a birthday. Our server was great. Highly recommend for a special occasion.
the food is excellent and the wait staff went above and beyond to make our night more than special.
Great ambiance but small amount of food, was not satisfied after my entree
We visited Polaris for my daughter's 37th Birthday on Sept 8, and was determined to celebrate in Atlanta, GA. She resides in Houston, TX and I live in Tn. She flew in on Friday to Tn, I picked her up and we headed to Atlanta. Prior to our trip, I googled Polaris, loved what I saw,and was very very satisfied from the moment I approached the evaluators to go up to the restaurant. We were speechless!! The bartender was the best, my daughter asked him to prepare a sweet drink, and he surpassed her expection. The food was perdect, very delicious, the server was pleasant and the atmosphere was all over the above. I reside 4 hours from Polaris, but my husband and I will do dinner here at least quarterly. Classy, fun!! It's so worth the price, the extra treats given for my daughter's birthday was delicious as well. Thank you for the great service Polaris. My daughter really think I'm the super super mother now lol. I hope the world receives this message. Debbie from Tn.
Great service including offered wraps because of cool air conditioning. Steak was cooked (or not) to perfection, very rare! Fin and delicious dessert.
Girls vacation. I grew up in Atlanta and always wanted to dine at Polaris. It did not disappoint. Corbin helped us with selections from menu. Blackberry jalapeño margaritas, peach daiquiri and even a virgin mint julep were fabulous. Georgia cheese sampler delicious. Our entrees were a treat for the eyes as well as the taste buds. Would highly recommend. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
My waiter was amazing food was great and the atmosphere was outstanding
The staff was beyond wonderful, but the view... ah-mazing!!! The food was perfect and fun! Loved everything about it!! Highly recommend!! 💕
My husband and I were there to celebrate our friends birthday. We enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Our server was great, the host was very nice and other staff were friendly too.
Everything was great
Our waiter Robert was an absolute delight. Friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable in all aspects of every section of the menu. Robert gave wonderful wine and cocktail suggestions that in turn were just as tastefully engaging as described. By far the best and most memorable dining experience since we’ve been in Atlanta. Thank you Robert and everyone at Polaris. We will definitely make a return visit.
I flew in from Houston and heard so many nice things about Polaris. The ambience was nice, appetisers was delicious and we celebrated Richards birthday. I plan to return soon.
Amazing view and service. The blue dome dessert was nothing I have ever tried before and is a must!
