It's Closed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This place closed about 1 week before my reservation but OpenTable keeps sending me updates about it. Pok Pok was awesome and will be missed!
Restaurant has closed, but was one of my favorite spots.
I'm legitimately upset that this location is shut down. I went here on a date with someone and it was a perfect way to close out my favorite restaurant.
Pok pok... you will be missed!!!
Now I'm going to have to fly to Chiang Mai for some khao soi...
xx
The food was great, but the service was slow and the hostess was generally uninterested in accommodating guests.
Incredible place- so sad that its closing. We enjoy every dish here and wish for more at the end of the meal!
Getting our last Pok Pok meal at the NY location before they close their doors. Every dish was on point and didn’t disappoint. Thanks Pok Pok!
Really underwhelming, given the hype. Food was too salty, and the flavors/spices not nearly interesting enough. Everything was just a little overcooked. Also, SO SO LOUD. Really wanted to love, especially as it's closing, but it was a big meh. Ah well.
We love Pok Pok. So sad it’s closing. It will be missed terribly. The food is amazing.
Wings super salty. Steak salad salty. Flavor wise good. Bobo chicken good marinade/flavor. Special of whole dorade the best of all dishes. Special of ribs no flavor, meh. Service too slow! I understand its closing but should be going out with a bang! Had high expectations. Desserts not worth the 20 min wait.
So good! Loved everything.
Always happy to try the chicken wings!
The wings were good, but unfortunately that was the only highlight. The rest of the meals had very small portions and we priced very high. It didn't deliver on the taste either.
I drive here with 2 kids under 2 from Long Island like every month or 2 ... need I say more? Vegan friendly!
Pok Pok is still one of the most unique restaurants in the city. Careful with the spice: spicy means your mouth will be on fire. But having your mouth on fire every now and then makes you feel alive, right? The drinks are very tasty, on the sweet side but well made. And the service is very laid back but friendly.
We drove from Annapolis, MD to Brooklyn to eat lunch at Pok Pok. It was quicker and less expensive than flying to Portland:). We enjoyed everything we ordered and we're very happy to have some leftovers to munch on on our drive home. There were 3 of us and we ordered 5 dishes (to share and to bring home). Loved it!!
Great with food allergies. Went above and beyond!
Probably my second time writing anything about a restaurant. But let me say, our experience was fantastic. Our Server, I wish I got her name, but she was tall, African-American long braided hair, good looking, and 100% on the job, working the PM shift 8/1 covering the back room. She coursed out the meal perfectly, we ordered a good amount for two dudes, we never waiting for a drink or napkin or clean share plate. She even went above and beyond to get us the credit card my buddy left behind. We were already out of the restaurant! Above and beyond, give that young lady a raise!!!!! We will be back with more people. Also food was delicious, the other huge reason we will be back.
More eclectic than I like, which means lite on food and heavy on the wallet. Bo Bo chicken is a small squab that is stuffed, and for $25.00 I don’t know what there thinking, there was little to eat. Appetizer wings were crispy, spicy and excellent. Drinks are offered at$13.00 and not outstanding...hmmmm.....Nice place to visit once, had some other dishes that came out Luke warm, maybe not there best night, many other places for more wholesome and delicious Thai food to visit rather than here.
Amazing experience. Some of the BEST Thai food and I’ve been to thailand a few times. Creative take on authentic dishes, ingredients. Beware the Duck was fantastic But 🌶 SPICY 🌶 and we like spice! Can’t wait to visit NYC and go back!
All the food was cold. Seemed like it had been sitting out for a while.
Tasty and interesting food. Servings were ample and prices were reasonable. Be sure to try the chicken wings.
Sensational! Pok Pok has a menu with so many options- it’s hard to narrow down just a few things to order. Everything is always so-very flavorful, fresh and consistent. It’s the number one restaurant on my list to visit every time I’m in NYC and Portland.
On a less than savory note.. I’d love to see the service stepped up. The waiter was very nice and extremely knowledgeable but too relaxed with his timing at the table. The service seemed to drag on and on waiting on him to show up. But nothing that would prevent me from coming back. I loved how the bartenders would deliver drinks -a great team effort. Don’t miss visiting this restaurant when in NYC. If I lived in NYC -I’d be here every week!
Had the whole fish, it was amazing!! It was really hot and humid in the restaurant during this heatwave, but the food and the bartender/server were so good! Highly recommend!!
Wings are worth the trek, they satisfy an appetite for dinner but save room for the rest of the food! Flank steak salad is also amazing but be prepared for some spice.
Having been to Thailand twice, this was a visit "home". The Khao Soi was excellent as was the Kai Yaang tuua. We were a party of three so we also shared the Muu Phaa Kam Waan (suitably hot w/o being a rite of passage), Yam Samun Phrai (light and flavorful) and the Sai Ua Samon Phrai (hits all the spice notes). The service was fine, but this isn't exactly fine dining. We would wrap some of the chicken or sausage in sticky rice and dip the bite into the sauces...so good! Can't wait to get back.
Amazing food, been searching for Khao Soi ever since I had it in Chiang Mai and this satisfied my craving. The wings are ridiculous too. Can’t wait to come back.
Amazing! If you like spicy authentic food go here.
We got there at 545 pm for our reservation and we were the first costumer that evening and we chose the outdoor seating. It was so beautiful and perfect for summer dining. I’ve been really wanting to have the Northern Thai experience but all in all I just love the vibe and the waiter was super attentive!
Well worth my 4 year wait. Accommodated an extra with no problem, and the food and drinks were excellent.
Sunny’s noodles are gone. Special ribs were not good. Steak salad and wings were fine. Love this place but........
One of my new favorite places to try exotic flavors & textures. My colleagues who joined me didn't feel quite as adventurous but this place has my number every time.
The food is very authentic and flavorful, but the restaurant is very crowded with slow service (two hours to get all of our dishes! Must have been an off night).
I'm a big fan of this place. Good price, really interesting food, friendly service, and lots of heat. This is a sure win for any occasion in my opinion, so long as you have a group who is open to some interesting tastes and moderate spiciness.
excellent vietnamese/thai food and excellent cocktails. exotic spices and interesting dishes. Friendly service but a bit slow and disorganized. some dishes too spicy to eat. order with care.
Always reliable regional Thai restaurant
We liked 3 out of the4 dishes ordered. Food is different from typical Thai, interestingly spiced. Service was fine & so was craft beer.
Second time here - both times for lunch around 1:00 pm on a Saturday; tried their specials; food was great both times with good service. Will go again if we are in the vicinity.
As always everything was amazing! We love you!!!!!!
