Pointe In Tyme Restaurant – Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort
I was really happy with the staff we were treated when we walked in and immediately seated but when it came to the food it was a mess. We had found plastic in our food. That would be considered a physical hazard. The food was really bland it had no types of seasoning. I was really disappointed with the food considering how much it was. Anyways the staff was really polite but the food just wasn’t all there.
Love the experience every time!
Pointe In Tyme is an excellent casual restaurant. Good atmosphere and a wide variety on the menu.
Lovely setting, we were outside on the deck but inside was elegant and old-fashioned banquettes looked cozy.
Friend's pizza looked forgettable but my grilled cheese with spicy salami was yummy. Courteous and competent service as we had a bit of an emotional reunion was appreciated.
Very good value for the reasonable bill. Would definitely return.
Overall, food and staff at Tapatio Hilton was great all week. Concierge needed a Mimosa I think.
We love the beautiful high ceilings and heavy wooden beam atmosphere of this great restaurant. Love the bar for all the same reasons as well. Favorite dish is the Shrimp and Pasta...to die for. The big half-round padded booths are also very intimate and cozy as well as comfy. One our favorites in Phoenix for sure.
Undercooked burger and then brought it back on the same bun so it fell apart. Nice place, though and very nice resort
Quiet, friendly place to get together with friends and have a good meal.
The breakfast food options okay but service is great!!
I’d like this place a little better for a date night if they had easier parking, a larger menu and smaller tables. It’s really more geared toward families than one on one dates.
Still, the waitresses were friendly and the food is pretty good.
Really nice atmosphere and we loved the decor. The food was really delicious and cooked perfectly. I wish the host had paid attention to the fact I had let them know before hand that it was my husbands 50th birthday. I think we got there as they were finishing up lunch service and closing the restaurant until dinner, our server only checked in with us once before getting us the check as she was too busy doing her side work to get ready to leave.
Went there for NYE. The food was decent. Nothing over the top spectacular. The ambience was the highlight.
Very posh and high end looking but really very affordable. Decor is beautiful especially with classic Christmas atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and wines.
The person that cooks during lunch is much better than the person cooking at night! I don’t know why but the food taste disgusting at night it’s cold and it’s average. But during lunch the food is phenomenal
Quiet, intimate and comfortable with good food and excellent service. If you're looking for a bit upscale and a place you can converse with your company, give this place a try. It's well worth it.
Our server was Delores and she was amazing! Attentive and fun!
The service was great (Marion) but we both ordered the grilled shrimp pasta and were extremely disappointed. The shrimp weren't cooked well (one wasn't completely cleaned) and the pasta was gummy and poorly seasoned.
The variety at the buffet was excellent! However, since we were seated at 5pm some options were no longer available. AND, some of the vegetables were over-cooked; no longer having any crispness. Desserts were disappointing; many were cloying without much flavor. If you are going to accept reservations at the full price for that time, you should make certain guests have the full experience! We would most likely try out the place again next year with an earlier reservation to give it another chance.
The five cheese Mac and cheese was the best we’ve ever had!
Calamari included some fried artichoke hearts which was a nice touch. Bibb lettuce wedge was excellent. Only the cheesecake was only good but not exceptional like the other items.
Waitress was very personable.
The greeter didn't have my reservation, finally found it after I got it up on my cell. Service was a bit slow, and the food was below average for a nice restaurant. Ambiance was lovely. It might have just been the day.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience here!!
Nice restaurant, but table and booth were small for me. Food was ok but not something special.
We were visiting from out of town for parents day at the college. We decided on this restaurant because the reviews were good and it looked like it would have great views. It really did have amazing views. The restaurant is a bit dark. It was after the lunch rush on a Sunday so it was pretty quiet. The food was excellent. We had the spinach artichoke dip and was hot, fresh and creamy/cheesy. The chicken pesto sandwich had excellent flavor and the chicken was moist. The bleu cheese burger was cooked as requested and very good and the grilled shrimp pasta was excellent. The shrimp was grilled perfectly and the pasta had excellent olive oil and parmesan flavor. Our server was seasoned, friendly and was so helpful. It was a great lunch before leaving back home. We will definitely go there again when in Phoenix.
It was very nice..quiet...and intimate. I would come back again.
Our first time here. The restaurant was very pretty inside with all of the dark wood but the wood needed a serious dusting especially on the high beams in the bar area. My wedge salad was very nice but served on a pretty badly chipped plate. Another friends risotto was terrible...we all tried it to see...and it was. However, the mashed potatoes they brought to substitute for that was very good. Another friend said his salmon was very well done. Definitely loved the crème brulee for dessert! The beveled glass windows throughout the restaurant are very pretty but were filthy and there were many stains on the carpet. Restroom was clean and the entrance well kept. Our server, Julie was terrific and not afraid to smile like the bartending staff who seemed unhappy to be at work. The 80's background music was fun and refreshing.
Squash risotto and Fig & Brie Bruschetta was an absolute hit! Would eat there again.
Wonderful food and service!
We made last minute reservations on a Saturday night and we were seated right away. The food, and service were excellent. The menu was quite limited
We enjoyed our experience, both in taste of food and in overall atmosphere. Service was great.
We were staying at the resort and decided to celebrate our Anniversary with dinner here. We were greeted with a friendly staff who not only asked if we were celebrating anything special but Congratukated ya and said she would be sure to tell our waiter. We were seated in a discreet quiet corner and our waiter Michael was attentive, polite, informative about dinner selections and made it a point to bring us an Anniversay dessert! Ask for Michael he is the best!
Spare rib lacked flavor
Small but interesting menu. everything I had was very good, even at hotel prices. Our server was so passionate about his job, that it made the whole meal even more enjoyable.
A tasty close to the hotel spot. We would go back again.
Best waiter...Malon....has been there for 15 years & we always try to get his station
Birthday lunch for mom. The staff greeted and bid my mother Happy Birthday. The staff is attentive and kind. Food is exceptional, try the Bibb Salad with grilled shrimp. Chocolate covered strawberries were delivered as an unexpected birthday dessert. Thank you all for treating us so well and providing an experience mom will not forget!
We were hotel guests and very disappointed by the food which is expensive and mediocre. After our second meal there never went back
Pointe in Tyme is a great place for a leisurely lunch. The salads are delicious and the wine by the glass list is very food friendly. The service is great and they are sensitive to your time schedule whether you are in a hurry or want to take your time.
Food was ok stopped in because we were staying at hotel. Table was not in a good spot. Right near stairs where people entered restaurant and next to a counter where they cleared plates to. Very noisy. Had called after making reservation to ask for a booth so table where we were seated was not what we wanted. Waiter was very annoying. Took 10 minutes to get a draft beer from bar after ordering. Guess convenience of being able to walk to from hotel room was best part of dinner. Ok if you want a quick convenient bite to eat but not a great restaurant.
This was a typically hotel experience. Our two visits here were underwhelming. The staff while very polite were not very service oriented. Our meals took a while to receive in a nearly empty restaurant. We had to flag our waitresses for both meals for refills on drinks as well as getting our check to leave.
The breakfast buffet is very reasonable priced for all that is offered-fresh fruit, pastries, hot breakfast foods, breads and made-to-order omelettes. The atmosphere is casual, comfortable and cozy. My friend and I had a LONG brunch where the server and hostess insured we had our beverages filled as often as needed and we were encouraged to stay as long as we liked. We appreciated not feeling rushed or expected to leave when we were finished eating.
