It was fantastic. The food was excellent. And
Sitting outside watching the people was a lot of fun.
Wonderful ambiance, service and food. Poggio is our "go to" restaurant when we cross the Golden Gate Bridge. It has never disappointed us.
Always amazing and delicious
What a delicious meal we had. The staff and service were super.
It was a great night to sit outside and be pampered.
For years, friends and I have gathered for a meal at Poggio, and we've never been disappointed. It's a great place in a great location with food to match.
Excellent cocktails and the eats were terrific….
Amazing!! Carls was outstanding! The ribeye was out of this world. Can’t wait to go back!
A celebratory birthday dinner at one of our favorite restaurants was a perfect transitional experience back to dining life. A sign at the Maitre D says we can choose to remove our masks if we are vaccinated. We do so. We sit at the bar, like in old times and order a cocktail which is quickly and expertly served up. It is a little foggy, and though we have booked an outdoor table, a note on the Open Table app earlier in the day and a phone conversation with the Maitre D have instead landed us the perfect table, just inside the large open window, but sheltered enough to feel both warm and safe. The server was spectacular and we enjoyed a wine that was new to us, from the volcanic soil of Basilicata, Italy. The food was superb; I had the halibut, and all the dishes looked good. Dessert was also lovely. We are so grateful that this favorite place survived the economic trials of the shutdown and that it is back with such verve. Thank you!
Great food and great service. Nice outdoor dining too.
Hostess/owner (male) couldn’t be bothered
The waiter was no where to be seen
Excellent food, good service. We have never been disappointed at Poggio.
The dinner was delicious and served beautifully. Our server was outstanding and checked on us frequently throughout the meal.
The food was excellent for our group’s divergent tastes. The service was just right. Highly recommended.
Poggio was a great lunch experience! Our waitress Gigi was wonderful and the food was delish! Bravo Poggio!!!
Had Dinner here. While the food was good and contained the ingredients as advertised, the taste of many of the items seemed a bit bland and missing just a few additional ingredients. For example, the shrimp pasta could have used more garlic and olive oil.
We were delighted to return to Poggio and pleased that as vaccinated customers we were not required to wear masks. The menu is amazing, food delicious and wine list offers abundant choices. We had requested and were seated indoors. The only downside was being right next to an open door to some outdoor tables. The breeze was chilly and our requests for closing the door denied based on some mandate about indoor air circulation. We only wished we had a heat lamp like the outdoor diners who seemed to be warmer and more comfortable than we were.
Excellent service and delicious appetizers and entrees!
Beautiful day, wonderful food. We had: arancini, cauliflower puree soup, halibut and desserts. All delicious. I finished with an affogato: espresso poured over vanilla ice cream with candied orange peel and almonds. We're looking forward to going back soon.
Veal tonnato incredible appetizer. Perfectly done fresh halibut. Outstanding molten chocolate cake. Lively, cozy atmosphere. Consistently delicious over the years.
We loved Poggio. The prosciutto and peach was wonderful. Tiramisu for dessert. Great spot and service, especially if at the Casa Madrona.
Lovely and delicious excellent service always wonderful
Very nice, good food and pleasant atmosphere. Service was efficient.
The food at Poggio's is outstanding. Especially their soup and appetizers. The wait staff, unfortunately, is more aloof, hurried and disconnected. The busboys are pleasant and courteous.
We arrived early evening and had a relaxed, great meal!
Nice place to eat away from the tourists.
We loved the food! The restaurant was so busy that it took our server more than 20 minutes to take our order. The food was slow in coming and it took forever to get the bill.
Our server was attentive but too busy to care for us in the manner to which we’ve been accustomed in the past.
We were happy to see a lively business after the long Covid19 lockdown. But the service could have been much, much better with extra wait staff. Everyone was literally running from table to table.
Poggio is a good place to dine; food and service is very good and prices are reasonable in today's environment. The pork chop is delicious as well as pasta dishes. There is a mixture of locals and tourist. Good pizzas as well.
Wonderful! Great experience all around.
Excellent as always
Consistency is amazing
Excellent food and service. Outdoor dining faces Sausalito's main drag -- some noise.
Yummy. 5 dishes, each exceptional. Appropriately priced.
As always, a great dinner with exceptional service.
food was not as good as the prices make you think, def a Sausalito price situation
The service was great and the food was amazing. Best Italian restaurant in Sausalito by far!
Great to have a meal once again at Poggio. Service is professional, attentive and friendly. The menu has an interesting assortment of dishes and ours were very well executed. Atmosphere is pleasant and the noise level very acceptable. Love this place!
It was just a pleasure to have Sunday Lunch at Poggio. Everything was perfect.
Sitting outdoors is lovely. The food was fine but not special. The service was good as well.
We are staying at the Casa Madrona Hotel and the restaurant is on the street level. Very European feel. We ate outside on the sidewalk. Great upscale menu and wine list. Do not miss the Arancini (fried risotto balls). Wife had fettuccini with clams and I had short ribs … both five star! Excellent! Excellent! Waiter great too! Six stars! Seven stars!…
Excellent pastas for all four of us in our party. Each came out hot and good sized portions. Very reasonably priced for the quality.
Excellent! Always stop here when in the area. Absolutely best Pizza, even better than Rome. Tuna tartare fresh and exceptionally good service.
